Well her design isn't that much different than past incarnations aside from being younger.

The characters on the poll were the most widely different than their usual appearances. Same reason I didn't list Mutagen Man.

If Kirby Bat counts as Wingnut, I'd go with him. I just think he's kind of goofy-looking and don't care for his overall design. I like all the ones on the list though. :)

I took one look at Karai's design for the first time and my jaw dropped. I couldn't believe how horrible it was when I first saw it. However, it grew on me. Casey, however, has the most ridiculous design. Ever.

Every other design you mentioned I was actually pretty OK with. To be honest, I actually liked some of these designs more than the original ones (i.e: Shredder, Technodrome).

I also fourth for a Wingnut choice.

If I had to pick one out of the options you listed, I'd go with the Technodrome. Not because I hate the redesign, I just love the original version.

I count April as a redesign. She is her own character. She does not like like the 80's or 2K3 April only younger, she is her own new design. But I got used to it by now.

Out of the choices here I would say the Technodrome. I was weary about Karai's design at first but its grown on me now. I like Casey's design by itself, not comparing it to the other designs but I do like it and think its a good redesign. The Technodrome's look however, just hasn't grown on me yet

I still think Karai is fuglier than words can describe. It's a shame since when her design was first released I was ready to give her a chance and I tried to ignore all the naysayers, after all, she could have looked a lot better in motion. Turns out I was wrong. There is absolutely nothing the least bit appealing about her face or her hair and her armor leaves a bit to be desired as well. I really don't care if she has short hair (2k7 Karai had short hair and she was very pretty), or even if they wanted to add in that weird yellow bit to spice her up, but the design they went for her...those sideburns, her bangs...totally missed the mark. When I imagine Karai I always picture an extremely beautiful woman-not a girl next door, not a plain jane, not an 'ugly pretty' type of girl, but straight up, stereotypically beautiful. And this design is just hideous.

Splinter is weird for me. Actual design wise I think he looks rather nice (except for his creepy human hands)...he just doesn't feel like Splinter. Still, since his basic design is pretty appealing, then my vote goes to Karai.

Oooh yeah. That I want to see. They could borrow from City at War and have factions of the Foot split off, not wanting to follow under her rule.

Aw, man. That's what I like about Metalhead the most. I was actually disappointed when the toy wasn't mini-sized. :D

I didn't say she had to look interesting, her character and personality should more than make up for that (I think I even described her as "stereotypically beautiful"...I'm not looking for uniqueness in design when it comes to Karai). And as hilarious as the previous Lion King gif was, I don't think I should have to look hard in order to find beauty in Karai's design. It's not just her clothes and make-up, her actual facial dimensions just aren't very appealing either. While I do appreciate that her eyes are smaller and not as freakishly large as April's, it's not enough to make me think-Wow, now THAT'S a beautiful girl. Personally, I love the design of Casey, so I know the animators of this show KNOW how to create an actual human looking person, Karai just isn't it. For me anyway.

In my opinion, I don't really like Casey Jones's design. He looks like a mixture of a goth, a punk, and a seven year old. He could really use a better design.
I also don't like Fishface's design. His body looks uneven and his head is too huge.

It was one of those unfinished slightly animated storyboard parts shown at that con that announced season 2 stuff (San Diego con? New York con?)

Basically Mikey fired off ICK from some kinda cannon/bazooka thing at a very surprised Rat King, and the cat starts scratching all over him from shoulder to shoulder.

Like other episodes with several things mixed in, like Snakeweed in a Karai episode, Casey Jones in a Mutagen Man episode and all these bad guys in the Mikey gets zits episode, I wouldn't be surprised if the ep that introduces ICK is also about the Rat King.

Besides that I like or at least got used to all of the character designs. Casey is sorta fugly, but whatever. I feel like 2k3 Casey was a bit too good looking. Love the Rat King, Splinter's, and Karai's design as well.

Maybe it's a result of years of being a Transformers fan (that franchise has had like 20+ different versions of some characters over the years) but I am perfectly relaxed with redesigns/revisions to characters looks and personalities if it helps shakes things up and brings something new to the table.

I feel the Nick Turtles series has done this admirably.

Kirby' s human design is decent (kinda looks like Joss Whedon),but his bat design is pretty bleh to me.
