As i browse the thetechnodrome forums and other sites related to the upcoming tmnt flick - or just teenage mutant?, i get gradually more impartial to the this movie's outcome. The buttom line is i can't imagine it being anything more or less than yet another generic bay movie. Am i the only turtlesfan that feel that way about it?

I'm sure it will be a generic cgi ridden heartless affair that everyone will forget about much like the 2007 movie. I was proven wrong x10 about the nick cartoon as that show is watchable, competent and fun. Usually though, I can't stomach anything Bay has had his hands on. We'll see.

I'm one of those people that is very easily pleased lol :)
The Transformers movies for example, I loved! But then I have never seen the cartoons or comics etc so have no clue about the origins of the transformers.
I for one am really looking forward to the film. Despite all the changes that we might not be used to.
I think a lot of big movies are like that these days. When less willing to take a risk, some of the storytelling becomes generic.

I'm not much into bayformers or the transformers franchise as a whole for that matter. But the 1986 movie was dope.

A lot of folks are angry/scared of what the movie's going to be like but yet again, we can't judge a movie that isn't even out yet. Some of the changes do sound bad but getting to see the Turtles kick ass on the big screen again is enough to at least get me to buy a ticket. So no, you aren't alone, there's tons of folks on the fence about the movie. We'll just have to wait until it comes out to see who's right.

It's perfectly okay to judge a movie before it comes out. It just makes more sense to do so when a trailer comes out. (Anybody who says otherwise is kidding themselves, as they've already judged the movie themselves, but have just come to a different conclusion.)
But the casting news and set photos, if those do nothing for you, then it's perfectly fine for you not to be interested in this film. Personally, I would stick to the middle ground until a trailer arrives.

I've been in rage mode over the movie since 2011.

You're not the only one, you're part of the most vocal contingent of fans.
However, there are plenty of us who are looking forward to this.

When I was looking at the production images, with Raphael in his trenchcoat and walking with April, it made me wonder where the other turtles are: Will the plot have something where she's asked Raphael to find something?
I have to say that I'm curious too what the plot will be: Who will attack April in the back alley? A thug or a robot? :D
Also, the role of Vernon...how will that play out in the movie?

I'm really excited to see the movie. I'm a fan of the comics first and foremost, so as long as I have those I'm pretty easy to please on the big screen. I could end up disliking it but I'm going in expecting a really good time.

I'm a little nervous about the new movie. I keep hearing that it will suck, while others say to give it a chance. Since the concepts keep changing, I'm just going to watch it and see how it turns out. I'm really hope it won't be like the Guardians of Ga'Hoole movie that was almost completely different from the novels.

Guardians of the Galaxy? That's not even out yet. How do you know that it's completely different from the novels?

Where does person say Galaxy? They say Ga'hoole (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legend_of_the_Guardians:_The_Owls_of_Ga%27Hoole).

im not really worried about enjoying the movie. if it looks put together, has a somewhat decent plot, and keeps the core of tmnt, to me, its just another take on the turtles that we get. im not really picky about most of the small stuff, and will try to just enjoy it for what it is.
what i am about though is the aftermath of the movie. if its not well received, there could possibly not be another tmnt movie for a long time. like the last airbender movie (which, yeah wasnt the best, but again, i enjoyed it for what it is) which was supposed to have 3 chapters, but as far as i know, now wont be continuing. I just hope the movie isnt received too negatively, as to not hurt the possibility of future incarnations or continuations.

totally agree. I am going to watch the movie no matter what, but hope it does attract enough viewers to continue making more.

The movies Platinum Dunes have put out so far have been second-rate garbage (check the ratings) so I wouldn't expect them to all of the sudden figure out how to make a respectable movie. My guess is that the plot will be a complete mess but with great cgi and explosions. It'll make a bunch of money. Even though I think it's going to be a mess i'll still go watch it.
