View Full Version : TMNT Future Theories

We've seen Slash and Destroy this week, but I wonder what'll happen in the next future episodes.
- Will Shredder get Slash to join the Foot? And will Raphael find a way to reach out to him that he was wrong and that he can get him to join their side?
- What'll happen to April's father? Would he misunderstood get his revenge on the turtles and April would be the only one to stop and save him?
- Will Casey realize that the turtles aren't bad and will "probably" team up with them? Depends on Donnie's mood with him if he ever gets smooth on April again. What about the other turtles?
- Will there be good mutants out there that will side with the TMNTs. That is if there'll ever be those that can fight like ninjas.
- Is there gonna be "Tokka" in it?
- Will Donnie's retro-mutagen work? Perhaps Splinter can ask Don if he can be one of his test subjects. In hopes that "if" his humanity is returned temporarily, he can probably try to reach out to Miwa within Karai.
- Will Rahzar's backstory be revealed?
- Will Newtralizer appear again as a good guy or bad?
- Most importantly: Will Splinter be captured by the Foot?
- Will Karai & Slash team up when he joins the Foot? And once Splinter is captured, will they redeem themselves together by freeing him and teaming up with the turtles?
- Will they have a clipshow episode?

I'm sure others have mentioned this before in other threads but I predict Slash mutates again and becomes Tokka.

They probably should have skipped straight to Tokka if that were the case. Spike already looked more like Tokka than Slash and he could have just picked Tokka for a name instead.
Tokka doesn't have to exist in this universe, this version of Rahzar is more of an homage than anything else. They could certainly team up Bradford and Spike as another homage but it seems arbitrary for Slash to become Tokka, even more so than for Dogpound to be renamed Rahzar.

It's one thing to double mutate a new character (Dogpound) into Rahzar. It's another to double mutate a popular character (Slash) into another character.

[QUOTE=ninja-zero;1184648]- Will Shredder get Slash to join the Foot? More then likely. An additional mutated Turtle wouldn't be missed by him. Plus Slash knows quite a bit of the Turtles' secrets, so he'd be quite a prize if he joins. I also see him clashing with the two 'established' mutants (just as I see Tigerclaw imminently clashing with them as well) leading to a major shakeup and the mutants at each others' throats, which is really the juicy stuff I'm looking forward to this season. :D
- What'll happen to April's father? Would he misunderstood get his revenge on the turtles and April would be the only one to stop and save him?Probably he'll be de-mutated, but the whole experience might add to his PTSD a bit more, and he'll be overly paranoid over the Turtles' adventures involving April.
- Will Casey realize that the turtles aren't bad and will "probably" team up with them? Depends on Donnie's mood with him if he ever gets smooth on April again.he might end up being a 'satellite' character like he often is. I don't think he'll become a sort of 'fifth Turtle.'
- Most importantly: Will Splinter be captured by the Foot?Nobody knows. But it could happen as a incidental thing should Slash join with Shredder and tell him about the lair's location (likely to allow the Shredder to remove the other Turtles for him.) That's what I'm guessing might happen if Slash joins.
More theories:
Fishface mutates into Armaggon.
Karai will be redeemed around the time they make the toy.

Will Shredder get Slash to join the Foot?
I think Karai may find a use for him in punishing the Turtles. After all in Karai's mind, Splinter took her mother from her. And in Slash's mind the other Turtles took Raphael from him. So Karai may see Slash as a means to hurt or kill the other turtles, to punish Leo and Splinter. While she takes on Leo personally and learns about where their lair is.
What'll happen to April's father? Would he misunderstood get his revenge on the turtles and April would be the only one to stop and save him?
I think Donnie might successfully come up with a retromutagen of sorts. It won't reverse mutations, but it might restore a mutant enough to make them sentient. I don't think Dr. O'Neil will be all that happy with the Turtles since he was shown listening to Mikey explain the whole situation was there fault and he seemed to also be processing what he was hearing. So while April has forgiven them of sorts for her fathers Mutation. Dr. O'Neil hasn't and I can see him trying to stand between Donnie and April's friendship to protect his daughter. Even if his sentience is returned, I can see him being very hostel towards Donnie and the other Turtles but Donnie in particular since he's the one who is the closest with his daughter.
Will Casey realize that the turtles aren't bad and will "probably" team up with them? Depends on Donnie's mood with him if he ever gets smooth on April again.
I think Casey will see Donnie talking with April, but in his mind he's thinks Donnie is getting ready to attack her. What else are you going to think if you see for mutant Turtle armed to the teeth with a seemingly defenseless human girl. Casey could be like "Stand aside Red, I've got this." And attacks Donnie who of course has no choice but to defend himself. When Donnie is knocked down, April stands between them and tells Casey to stop attacking because the person he was attacking is her friend. Casey may be as dense as a brick but he sort of catches on that maybe it's more then just friendship. As April helps Donnie get out of that situation. So he threateningly says "This isn't the last you've seen of me Turtle." As a promise that he intends to rescue April from him. But later he see's Donnie get hurt protecting April and realizes that maybe the Turtle isn't bad guy after all. Particularly since it's Casey, April goes to for comfort in that situation.
Most importantly: Will Splinter be captured by the Foot?
I think yes and no. I mean yes the Foot Clan wants to see Hamato Yoshi dead. The Shredder would capture Splinter so he can gloat and slaughter Splinters sons one after the other. And maybe Karai since she is Splinters daughter and now that Hamato Yoshi has seen her she is a liability who has served its purpose. But Karai on the other hand will want to torture Hamato Yoshi by telling him about how he was a coward who didn't deserve to live. And how can he live with himself for killing an innocent woman simply because she had chosen her father over him. And she wants him to know the meaning of suffering by sadistically asking him which of his students he wants to watch the demise of first.
But no, I don't think Splinter is going to be captured. I think it's going to be another situation where the Turtles, maybe April, and Casey, are all taken prisoner by the Foot. And Splinter has to come save them or else.

More questions up on the board.
i think it would be nice for Splinter to be captured by Slash & Karai. He'll be taken into Foot's prisons like the TMNT movie's version where Splinter is captured.
As for poor Mr. O'Neil. Looks like he's nuts about killing the turtles for his mutation. Name him Wingnut now.

I don't see Splinter volunteering to be a test subject. Donnie has certainly heard his father mourning the loss of his humanity enough times. I think like his counter part in the OT version, he is going to approach Splinter about whether he wants his humanity restored.
However unlike the OT Splinter who tears up in appreciation at possibility of being human once more. I can see Splinter get rather irate and demand that Donatello never bring up this question again. At the end of the Episode however he tells Donatello that he does appreciate his generosity. But he couldn't accept the offer of having his humanity returned, because he has grown to accept his current form as part of who he is.

karai using slash in that way might happen but honestly, slash would rather pummel the criminals than help them considering how he was going on about that w/ raph and im sure he heard about karai at least a little while he was living w/ them

Perhaps Slash will go through a path of whether be a rebel or team up with the heroes.
Seriously, Slash needs to go with the turtles if he'll ever accept Leo and the others. Even Master Splinter... if he ever helps him.

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this before... ;) ;) ;) but when will Bebop, Rocksteady and Venus show up.
Legendary British sarcasm
Can anybody tell me if there was ever a situation where the turtles ended up human or at least disguised as humans.
For example a retro mutagen allowed Splinter to turn back in Hamato for a short while and Shredder had a Krang projection device that allowed himself, Bebop and Rocksteady to appear 'normal' to the other humans.
I have heard that humanisation of the turtles is frowned upon by 'serious' fans, as it is the whole mutant thing that partly makes them so unique and special.
But... what if it happened, how would the team explore that?
Would they use it to go to football games ie recreational leisure activities? OR perhaps for re-con? Or would that render April and Casey a bit un-useful?
I don't see Splinter volunteering to be a test subject.
But maybe Donnie uses himself as a test subject for some sort of mutagen experiment. Not so much retro mutagen, as that would revert him back to turtle. But another one. He is a little mad scientist, probably short of volunteers.
Would he turn into one of those dark turtles I hear so much about but know so little of.

Yes there were situations in the OT series where the Turtles will dress up in human clothing so they can go around the city during the day. April even had some human face masks specifically made for them as a disguise.
At one point in the series there was an episode where Shredder bakes some cookies for the Turtles and adds a mutagen or chemical compound to the cookies that will render the Turtles human. Michaelanglo eats one and turns into a human, but Donatello later discovers that Michaelangelo has not only become human but also a walking time bomb.
In the 2003 series, yes there were times the Turtles also dressed in human clothes, mainly to maintain a low profile. Such as attending a hocky game with Casey in one episode. While in Fast Forward and the Jones/O'Neil wedding at the end of Back to the Sewers the Turtles actually had moments where they wore formal attire.
I don't see how they can't keep the tradition and eventually have the Turtles wear human clothes to help them blend in among humans. This could probably happen with Casey become more part of the crew.
As for testing on himself, I don't think Donnie would be that foolish. If you wanted to have the Dark Turtles on the show...perhaps the Kraang could conveniently have blood and tissue samples of all four Turtles and make evil clones of the Turtles.

So if they're in that list, I'm guessing they'll be in season 2, since the rest of those toys proved to be so. Hopefully they'll be just another set of mutated punks, and not 'Visitors via a dimensional rift.'

They could show up in the episode that the '87 turtles cameo in. Seeing as Barry Gordon and Cam Clarke voice them as well as the turtles it wouldn't be too hard to make that happen.
Or better still, have all the actors on a level playing field, bring in Rahzar and Tokka and then they can all voice a turtle (or two in Rob's case) and a villain.

This is going to sound strange, but the crossover isn't something I'm looking forward to. It already has too much of that Turtles Forever flavor, although I don't care if they utterly butcher the OT Turtles' characters, just don't imply they are a cartoon connected to a comic (in-universe.) That almost killed the whole franchise to me, because it's prime Twilight Zone/nightmare fuel territory (and not in a good way.) I could have watched anything, but that. :teek:

It doesn't sound strange. Am I right in guessing you became a fan with the comics prior to the cartoon? Or something of that nature. I can understand how it would look like the 1987 cartoon was in no way shape or form the same universe as the comics. Too censored, too slapstick.
I would feel the same way if it was a crossover between 2012/2003. I saw a bit of the 2003/1987 one and I couldn't watch it. I resist anything 2003 based because to me, they don't feel like any version of the turtles that I'm familiar with.

What I'm actually objecting to is the idea of a Turtles multiverse and it' concoction of a 'Turtle Prime,' especially as the destruction of this 'Turtle Prime erases all existence. It says out loud, "Don't pretend that this is a real world, this is explicitly a cartoon and the product of someone's imagination, and we'll make sure we get that across." It also tries to tie everything together and have it exist all at the same time a la Marvel and DC, and doesn't allow a story, show or movie to be merely a different 'take' on the Turtles. That's what I'm dreading in this crossover, that they'll keep pushing the idea of a Multiverse instead of just allowing each show to be it's own 'take on the Turtles. I never liked Multiverses as a construct in franchises, as it's a cheap way to link everything together instead of allowing everything to be unique on it's own. Plus you have the (implied) thousands of dopplegangers of a character existing at the same time, which destroys what uniqueness they have. That's why I never liked them.

I agree...I liked the concept to Turtles Forever. But when it got into that whole multiverse that covered the various incarnations and alternate realities and how they all stemmed from the Mirage comics. That felt really off putting.
Think of the video game Kingdom Hearts which brings together the universe of Final Fantasy and the Universe of Disney and some how makes its own story where the universe is ruled over by Mickey and Minny Mouse who reside King and Queen.
And then throughout the game you encounter all these different worlds and each world is associated with a different Disney film I.e. Alice in Wonderland world, Lion King World, Little Mermaid World, Ect. And none of these worlds have a connection to each other before the events in the game.
If they were going to introduce the Turtles Multiverse that way, maybe it would have made a bit more sense.

Its a sad shame for Slash to go bad even though Raph's negativity over his brothers is what drove Slash this way.
Hope there'll be a redemption episode for both Karai & Slash. If Splinter gets captured by the Foot and ends up in prison with Karai torturing him for revenge, Karai and Slash can team up and redeem themselves in helping the turtles saving him.
As for Casey, I wonder how he'll interact with the turtles.

The different versions of the Turtles still interact, but get to be their own separate dimensions/worlds (kind of like Usagi came over from a different dimension in the old cartoon, but was a different franchise out-of-universe.)
I think the whole 'Multiverse' thing as it is now is just some sort of faddish nerd thing that got introduced in the last 10 years. Maybe they'll decide to scrap the idea at some point, and eventually just allow stories to stand on their own. :)

How did Bradford become so famous? Was he involved in a minor scandal and the Shredder offered him his services in getting his career back into high gear?I have, some. As has been mentioned in the cartoon, he's rich and famous. He either got this way because he was that good at martial arts or he was from a famous rich family (kind of like the Kardashians or Hiltons). Somehow along the way he traveled to Japan (probably on some publicity generating martial arts tour there of 'learning from the masters') since as far as I know the Foot hadn't yet arrived in the States. It is possible he came across Shredder by accident (or Shredder found him) and likely got showed how much better the Shredder was then him. Bradford naturally wants to be the best dude on the block (guy seems to have a massive ego) and so likely begged Shredder to train him, in return he'd be loyal to him and allow Shredder use of his wealth and fame.
