I was wondering if we might get a teaser trailer for the upcoming live action movie during the Super Bowl? I was looking at IMDB( take with a gain of salt)and it states an August 8th release.

Nope. Paramount only bought one TV spot for the Super Bowl and that's for Transformers 4.
Yes, August 8th is the current release date (after being moved back twice)

Funny you bring this up. It's somewhat related...
I was told by Vanilla Ice's manager than he just filmed a "big commercial" to be shown "to the biggest television audience in early 2014" and it included him doing the "Ninja Rap" for reasons yet to be revealed.
I await the commercial. :)

I was just curious. Seeing that last year we got glimpses of Star Trek Into Darkness, Thor 2 and Ironman 3.

It's really, really, really, really, really expensive to place an ad during the Super Bowl. While it definitely spreads awareness for a film, studios definitely have to prioritize what film they spend that $$$ on, and often pick their biggest film, which is why Transformers 4 is getting a Super Bowl ad and not TMNT.

I await the commercial. :)Interesting... You talk to Vanilla Ice's manager?
EDIT_______________
Could be related to Celebrity Cook-Off. A twitter search pulled up these:

A rap/wrap pun would fall right in line.
But that kind of commercial certainly doesn't sound like something that would be broadcast "to the biggest television audience in early 2014."

I would hope the first preview for the new movie doesn't include Vanilla Ice performing Ninja Rap.
I also doubt Vanilla Ice's manager has any clue about the marketing of the new TMNT movie.

Tommy Quon. Yes I do. :) I am not sure what the commercial is but...

Agreed. I know Rob is eager to have a cameo in the new movie, but to my knowledge he has not been granted his wish.
I also doubt Vanilla Ice's manager has any clue about the marketing of the new TMNT movie.100% agree. I think it is just a coincidence in timing.

Kinda don't think something like TMNT is big enough for the Super Bowl...

Why do you keep picking a bone with Laurence Fishburne? He's a great talent.

Not right now but maybe in a few years it could be.

No way. The TMNT will never be bigger than they were between 87 & 94.

I think you are correct.
But I also think the bean counters are hoping otherwise....

I think you could argue Transformers became bigger than ever, because of recent films. Same for Batman. Iron Man. They each have a fresh billion or two in their pockets.

Lol this. Not hating, but that narration was so cheesy. Just horrible.

Imagine if they did the movie trailer voice for the new TMNT movie.
"4 brothers, living in the sewers, until one day, They reached the surface."

Well you never know look at transformers and the spider man movies. I'm sure a few years ago lots of people where saying the same things about them.
I think what they need to do with this movie is the same as they did with spider man transformers and batman make the movies for adults. Keep the cartoons and movies separate.
If they do that tmnt could be a massive hit at the box office but if its a basically a live action nick room then I don't think it will do as well.

It's always nice to have connections. It could be a self project though. I could never get into the song on its own really but that fight scene in the club, it was the greatest thing in the world.:trazz:

I would say that the market is different now in that audiences are now more hungry for science fiction, mutant movies than ever before. While I doubt it passes the dark knight movies, it will probably make 400-500 million easily due to many fans across the globe and the peaking interest in these types of movies.

Don't have an attachement to any team that could be playing in it this year. Would give me a reason to watch
