Made this video like 7 months ago but it just got picked up by the Huffington Post. I was doing what any Ninja Turtle would do. :)

Tom Mabe did it better.

Is a good deed still a good deed when you're only in it for the praise and acknowledgement?

Tom Mabe did it better.
I'd argue that Roman Atwood did it best.
Is a good deed still a good deed when you're only in it for the praise and acknowledgement?
Yes. People are still benefiting from the deed whether or not it was done for the wrong reasons.

Thats not why I was in it.
I was in it because I had a TON of extra pizza, and knew it would be better served to donate it to the homeless.
But then why did you film it?
Because videos of good deeds on youtube inspire others to do good deeds of their own, which in turn creates more positivity in the world. I dont care about the pats on the back or the fact I have 450,000 youtube views.
I think it's cool to give people free pizza. Pizza rocks. Official TMNT food group. :) I am glad that day I have the ability do do so.

I agree. I do find it quite inspiring seeing people helping out other people. Some of us have lost hope in others and it feels good being reminded that not everyone is a piece of ****.

Should have contacted your local food bank or family shelter for advice on how to best distribute some fresh pizzas. Handing them out to randoms on the street is definitely nice, but you have no idea how much of it is just going to be wasted. Just because someone is standing on the street begging doesn't mean they are hungry or even homeless. Mentally ill or drug addicted? Maybe.
Sorry, I live in a major city and I have a very informed view on this sort of thing, dealing with it daily.
Anyway it's easy to be critical after the fact. Congrats on the HuffPost recognition.

What you did was very good, and I'm glad that you put forth the effort. But your post DOES sound a bit conceited in some ways even if you feel you aren't doing it for the recognition.

Well than you for bringing that up, because that's 100% the opposite of what I would like to portray. I could not be more thankful for the opportunities that I have been given and I do not wish to be thought of as a conceded person. Sorry about that. :embarass:

It's okay. You did good with that deed though, and there should definitely be more people like you in the world, though I hope the homeless people don't take advantage of your food. They can be like that sometimes.
