This was put up and taken down quickly as Raphael in the New Ninja Turtles (Michael Bay) Movie. What do you guys think?

That directly conflicts with every other description we've heard, so I call B.S.

glad this is not the actual design, bc it looks horrible imo

Fake, but crikey, that's quite a spin on Raph. I kinda like it!

I don't think so...
I heard Michael Bay say Raph has brown eyes in the movie.....
and the clothes don't really match the description :)

Yeah, This definitely does not match the description we have read, They are supposed to have a more humanoid appearance, normal looking eyes, no beak and 2 toes.
Overall, on that image, the face looks ugly, a face like that will scare children away.

This is from last year, it's just a sculpture someone made. Jesus Christ. It's not unconfirmed, it's confirmed fake.

I saw this on Twitter last night and few people got upset over it thinking it was real, someone is obviously stiring things up.

Looks pretty badass, but not so friendly :o

As electric_sheep says it doesn't have the sais from the set pics, so I very much doubt this is what the turtles will look like in the new movie, but I am really digging this design! It's an interesting take on the character and I think it looks awesome.

I actually like it, but echoing others - unless the descriptions were lies, that can't be real. Also, it just doesn't fit the stuff we've already seen from the movie ie set pics and the vehicle.

I'm so glad to see this, I would be really upset if this was the new design, it would only make sense if they were meant to be aliens or something.

Or, giant mutant turtles.

That'd be a pretty cool take if this was a serious TMNT movie. But it's not... so it wouldn't be.

First, I'm in full agreement with most in this thread that it does not match the details we know about. The Sais and lack of only two toes in front being some of the major inconsistencies.
Second, it looks damn awesome. While it's not my ideal design for them, it would definitely be unique. I'd mostly be okay with it.

I like that design. It looks like a mutated turtle. The face could look more human, but it's pretty realistic.

Where did he say that? If you have the link that'd be cool.

guess we'll find out when the movie is released XD

Don't think this is true. Also kinda glad too. But with that this is the most realistic true looking mutant turtle I've seen

I've seen it on deviant art. minus the paint. I add it to my favorites list, and that was about a year or so ago.

I wish that was the design!
Excited to see what the crew has actually come up with but I would have been fine with this design.
Would be cool if it was real I like it.

I saw this on deviant art a while back, but it was unfinished. Nice to finally see the final product, turned out even better with paint.

Yeah. I love realistic humanoid/turtle renditions like this.
It looks cool for a character design, but differs too much from Raph as we know him. Cool thing it has nostrils. Turtles should definitely have nostrils, I can't beleive people are disturbed by humanoid animals having boobs, yet they're okay with reptiles being unable to breath.

If this isn't from the movie though, we need to find out where it came from. Finding the source could prove the inauthenticity. I did a google images search and only found recent postings of this image so far.

I wish this was real. Granted, Soul's Winter is my favorite incarnation of the turtles and this is not a far cry from that.

I think it's the paine scheme that throws it off for me. The sculpt is ok but the color choices ruin it.

yeah, for sure not official. that's been on DA for quite a while now. i've talked to the artist about it when i originally saw it back in November. he said it was fan inspired.
it's radically different from the tmnt we know, but man is it beautiful! it is a true mutant/humanoid turtle. i know i'm in the minority, but if this WERE the movie designs, i'd be cool with it.

It really is an excellent piece...truly stunning. It may not be the turtles we know and love, but it doesn't make it ugly. I'd rather see something closer to the traditional look, but this is really a work of art to say the least.

Ugly as sin.
Anyone who likes this over the Out of the Shadows design is insane.
Good level of details in the skin and textures, etc, as far as a piece of art goes.
And it does look like a humanoid teenage turtle... but I couldn't sit through a 2 1/2 hr movie with Turtles that look like that

Can we have a title change, it got nothing to do with the movie.
As for the statue, it's pretty good looking, but as the other "uncomfirmed" turtle head sculpt we had last year. It got a beak, he isn't human enough for the general audience go emulate and feel with. A realistic Ninja Turtle still needs a workable mouth similar to a human mouth so that he can show easier emotions and expressions, as well as his eyes. eyes are extremely important to me able to connect with the audience, dead eyes can easily make the character take a big belly dive into the uncanny valley. Just watch Final Fantasy Spirits Within, on how a photo realistic CGI movie just looks wrong due to the animation fails, especially in the expressions and the eyes.
One of the things I absolutely love love love about the OotS designs, they nailed both aspects of realism of a humanoid turtle as well as having then being very expressive in their faces.

That is one of the ugliest things ive ever seen to be honest, ya it has details etc but so f*cken what?? even out of shadows i hated with the passion but i would accept that over this bullsh*t.. just because it has details doesnt mean its a good idea u idiots.. can u imagine these things carrying a movie? lmfao, i hope to god Bay is not doing something like this,
I HATE these 'realistic' turtles bullsh*t weve seen throughout the years to be honest with you i dont like any of them..

Scary thing is, that's kinda like a real mutated turtle would look. I mean it's funny how the turtles lost all their scaley detail and different colors and spots and patterns and turned one smooth solid featureless green. I guess the live action movies TRIED to make them more realistic with the spot, but wow did movie 3 ever totally overdid it.
