Any way. Platinum Dunes confirmed the turtles aren't aliens and that they come from alien ooze. This seems to pretty much confirm utroms and the first bit of news about the movie that doesn't fill me with anger and confusion.

At least we're getting a "familiar origin" for the Turtles...allegedly. After seeing Ficthner's comments I'm scared they're going to make Shredder an alien that created the mutagen...thus he made the Turtles.

Well, The Turtle Van in the movie is the Shell Raiser based on the license tag it has on it, And that's Nick Based.

It makes me wonder if the movie borrow from the other versions, We see the dressings that are Fred Wolf based, But what if the other parts of the movie are based on the 4kids and Nick series as well?

Btw, I happen to come across another pic of the Turtle Van I never seen, and this one, you can clearly see what looks like Solar Panels on top.

Since Nick is apparently vetoing all IDW "winks" to the Nickelodeon cartoon that would seem somewhat unlikely. Not to mention nonsensical.

I too would absolutely love to see a very dark and gritty take, with bits of humor mixed in, just like the original comic series. I also think the original creation story was just fine. I'm also 42 years old so that's what most fans my age are probably hoping for. Problem is.... much like the Star Wars prequels, I am probably not the demographic theyre shooting for. :-?

As an optimist, I always reserve judgement till I see the film. Looking forward to it being good regardless of content expectations. :)

I'd like to see a completely urban based take closely tied to the comics, complete with the TCRI cannister origin, leaving more of the sci-fi aspects to the imagination.

Not to bash Michael Bay, but Im betting the opening scene will be a big ass mothership floating through space towards earth, a quick story set up, and explosions followed by more explosions and then more bigger explosions.

Still though, I try to avoid posting about the things I dislike about the newer show because I know for a fact no one wants to hear other people complain about something a lot of the people here really enjoy. Frankly that is all I can do with the newer show so I just lurk here in the movie section for that reason.

There is no reason to complain here. It will get you no where, and even if you are trolling, which I doubt. I think you are just really honest and annoyed. The responses you will get on this forum are not really that fun or enjoyable.

Just enjoy and start topics for what you love about the fandom and be a bit more of a positive person. No need to continue being upset and frazzled about something you hate.

I'm being honest. I have nothing nice to say about the new show. I don't rag on it that much. Usually just when someone says something bad about the old shows. It's whatever my time will come when the new one gets canceled. And if the movie has one of them utroms would make way more sense and for a better movie. But the guy is Eric Sachs so I think he'll just be some regular guy turned evil.
