Casey and Raph

Well...Is anybody else curious to see how these two will end up as buddies?

Given how Raph JUST lost his pet turtle Spike, he's probably in a position right now where he doesn't really want to make new friends any time soon...:(

So I think they won't be friends right away...But in due time, they'll start to blossom into a Bromance. It'll most likely take quite a bit of time. And who knows? I think maybe Casey can be his new pal to confide in. :)

(Let just pray that Casey isn't spending most of his time fighting Donnie over April... >_>)

To be honest, I'd rather see Casey buddy up with any turtle BUT Raph. We've seen it so many times, and I don't really see how they can make it any different than before. I'd much rather see these relationships:

Donnie is jealous of Casey and is always rude/mean to him, but Casey is oblivious as to why and tries to be nice to him.

Mikey thinks Casey is the coolest guy ever and wants to be just like him (big/little bro relationship).

Leo disapproves of Casey and thinks he's a bad influence to the team.

Not to say Raph shouldn't have ANY relationship with Casey. Obviously they'll team up, but I'm just so bored of seeing it. We all know how it'll go: They hate each other at first, fight, get to know eachother and find similarities, yadda, yadda yadda.

I don't mind any of those, but I'm really looking forward how Raph will play a role in Donnie and Casey's relationship with April. It seems Raph's friendship with Casey will be the X-Factor in the Donnie/April/Casey story.

Maybe it's just me but the way the story has been written, it has looked clear that Raph doesn't want Donnie to end up with April.

I'd be curious when Raph and Casey become pals, that Raph doesn't try to push Casey to get together with April before Donnie comes around and asks her.

Well on the whole Leo and Mikey despite whatever doubts they may have about Donnie and April actually becoming a couple. They are supportive because it's something that does make Donnie happy and they don't want to take that away from him.

But Raph on the other hand, it's not so much that he doesn't want Donnie and April to be a couple. He sees Donnie's crush on April as delusional and that it's only going to end up with his younger brother getting hurt. So in his mind the sooner Donnie wakes up, smells the coffee, and realizes that April is never going to see him as anything beyond a brother figure the better.

it would be nice for Casey to be everyones friend for once :) (even if he might have a little more things in common with Raph)

I'm pretty sure Ciro said awhile back that Casey would have a different relationship with each Turtle, somewhat similar to what you said.

Confirmed by Greg Cipes- Mikey will have the easiest time getting along with Casey.

Confirmed by Rob Paulsen- Donnie and Casey will have a frienemies relationship. They need each other to help in battle and both will go as far to admit the other is a decent guy to know. However when it comes to April, both wish the other will take a one way trip to the moon.


Raph unknown-Speculation: Raph and Casey will get off on the wrong foot, but realize they are better working together then fighting each other.

or Raph and Casey will dislike each other from the start with Raph feeling that Casey is trying to tangle with things that are beyond his understanding and it would be better if he just went home and did was normal teens do.

Leo Unknown-Might find Casey too loose cannon for his tastes. While he appreciates having another human ally, he doesn't like how reckless Casey actually is.

Maybe begins to see things from Donnie's point of view about the Pulverizer on involving an innocent person into matters where they shouldn't be included.

That could be the Tiger Claw episode, Donnie isn't with them when the Leo, Mikey, and Raph are tied up when Splinter shows up for the Splinter/Tiger Claw fight scene.

I'd like it if Raph and Casey didn't like each other at first and then learned to. In the 2K3 series, Raph was trying to guide Casey in the first episode where they met and tried to teach him about controlling his temper, which was cool. Whatever they decide to do will be fine with me though. I just can't wait to see more of Casey in action.

I dunno I seen Case and Raph's interaction one too many times that for once I'd like them to not be best friends.

I'd like to see Don and Casey interactions though especially if they do become friends

Although admittedly I'm not a fan of the love triangle to begin with, so if that's the case, I would hope that wrinkle would make it better, not worse.

TBH and I don't want to rant and moan, because I love this show, but I really do not like this version of Casey. It's still early days, and I like the choice of voice actor, so maybe he will grow on me:ohwell:

Oh, I would expect nothing else. LOL It just always seemed to me the type of thing where by the end of the episode (which is sooner than expected) they're on good terms, but I could be wrong. I look forward to seeing how they handle it.

I'm thinking it will be asymmetrical; i.e., Donnie will consider Casey a serious threat to his "relationship" with April, whereas Casey will be miffed by Donnie's quixoticism and envy.

Raph and Casey being buddies is just true fashion of the comics. That's just how it is. Anyway, I am looking forward to this episode because I have long waited for Casey to finally meet the turtles. His and Raph's disagreements are going to be hilarious to watch. So much name-calling, kicking purple dragon butt, and rebelling.

It's about time we get to see Casey meet the turtles. Although I might have to watch this one after they air ep 8. I keep hearing that The Good The Bad and Casey Jones is actually the 9th chronologically. But yeah, always loved the Casey/Raph relationship too. Not that I've gotten to experience it in the comics, but it was there in 2k3. So I'm a little familiar with it. Granted, I'm not as familiar with it as I would like to be but hoping Nick gives us a bit more so I can see what all the hubbub is about.
