Does anyone know why Bebop's mohawk/ponytail was completely purple on season 1, then starting season 2 and on only the front half was purple and the back half was the same color as Bebop's skin/fur?

But this could be asked in your other thread don't need a million bebop and rocksteady threads, it's different though I get it. I don't know. Probably because it was easier. That's what companies do. It's like with the nick show, they could have had good or competent turtle designs but they stuck with the dumbed down simplistic look because it was easier to create and put out there.

Hair dye's hard to come by in Dimension X?

I'm gonna just make a guess here- but I'm thinking maybe it was far too time consuming to color something so small that moves so frequently/fluidly.

Seems to be a good explanation, possibly shredder and krang frowned upon the hair dye and the roots started to show?

No because the other one is about Rocksteady, this is about Bebop. For someone that made 700 posts in 1 month, it seems slightly odd that you would be complaining about posting too much and consider 2 as "a million".

I've been a very active member of the drome. I'm just saying they go together they can be in own thread. It's whatever I don't really care either way. No need to take offense. Slow your roll playa.

No offense taken, I was just saying. I see what you mean. I had already previously made the Rocksteady thready, otherwise I probably would have just had one thread for both.

Wait, let me get this straight... you're criticizing someone for posting a thread you think is unnecessary, and yet did the same thing over and over and over again in another subforum? And then managed to tie it all back to some not-so-subtle non sequitur about how fanboy upset you are over the Nick turtles?

You're either trolling or need the assistance of an adult supervisor when you use the internet.

Haha dude your signature is bebop and rocksteady! You can't have one without the other I was just saying they go together they can be in the same thread. I stated I was attacking the individual just stating they could be in the same thread but there's also some warrant for them to be in sperate threads and I understand that as well. I've never had a prob with Cubed. Why do you continue to insist on that. And for that matter why are you constantly rude or a jerk to most people here. I mean you're quick to insult everyone but you overlook the fact that you're kind of a jerk yourself.

You certainly didn't deny it when others called you out on it.

& being blunt/honest does not = being a jerk, unless you're a hyper-sensitive child. If you don't like the way I conduct myself, put me on ignore. Also bear in mind you're calling me a jerk, which is an insult, something you claim to dislike. You also overlook that you made a bunch of racist comments in the past, which makes you equally as bad as you think I am, if not worse.

Those remarks seemed to have been racist in your mind only. Anyone I asked outside this forum didn't see the big deal and most of them were Caucasian. One of them even admitted redneck could be seen as an insult depending how it's used and who you say it to, but they didn't consider it racist. Hell I even got the phrase off a white guy on YouTube. Now while he and vanilla ice might not be the most credible people, the bunch of normal 'real world' friends and co-workers I asked can't all be wrong.

Plus I stopped using the term after a while. I consider it a moot point by now. I don't mind what you say to me. In this case I insulted you so you were provoked but geez some people like baby turtles are just nice to you and you still gotta be mean to them. It's a forum based on a cartoon show. Chill out dude.

"My black friends said it's okay if use the N word as a term of endearment, that must mean all black people are fine with it!" -How you sound.

"Mean"? She was constantly crawling up my ass telling me how I should post. I said I wouldn't adopt her attitude and put her on ignore. You don't know mean.

Yeah. Kinda can't compare 'white boy' to the n word. For one thing the former isn't bleeped or censored on tv. Much stronger word. It's outdated 90's slang. Plus this applies to everyone I know. Not just 2 or 3 people and not necessarily all friends. A random co-worker could have easily had gotten pissed and call me out on it. Yeah you can say the n word and I guess some black people won't mind but some will get in your face about it. I personally find it disrespectful and don't get why they chose to popularize it but whatever.

I honestly don't know if you had a lifetime of people calling you that when you were younger or whatever but it seems to hit a particular nerve to you and you alone. Either way I was called out on it, again by you and you alone, and I refrained from using it. So what's the problem?

I'm not saying they carry similar weight, but the point remains that just because some people say something is okay doesn't mean it flies with everyone.

It doesn't fly with you so I stopped using the term. So why keep bringing it up. And Cubed, does the n word count as Ebonics?

While we're on the subject even though our thoughts clash heavily, you know in cool with you right Cubed?

People use this thing for fan art/stories, information, debate tmnt, sell or buy toys. No where does it say belittle people. Create a flawed hierarchy, and express your opinion of false superiority over other members of the forum.

So a thread about the minutiae of TMNT has devolved into bitching, backstabbing, insults, accusations of racism and people calling Powder a jerk?

It's like the entirety of the 'Drome, crammed into a single thread...

MsMarvelDuckie

Amen to that. But to get BACK TO THE SUBJECT OF THE THREAD- I recently re-watched some of the early episodes, and noticed this, myself. Incidentally, I don't think it was his ROOTS showing, since that would make the Mohawk itself brown and the ends purple, not the other way around. Maybe he just stopped dying the ends because it was too much work. Warthog hair is extremely stiff and thick, after all. I'd imagine it doesn't take dye very well. :tcool:

Coola Yagami

I just realized... Didn't bebop just have a normal Mohawk as a human and then the Mohawk/ponytail thing after he mutated?

Powder
02-08-2014, 05:27 PM
True. & given it wasn't dyed, are we supposed to believe that he gained an actual tail on the back of his head? Never thought of that before, but it does totally look like a warthog tail.

MsMarvelDuckie
02-08-2014, 05:54 PM
No, it's just a ponytail that's tied lower down instead of at the top. I've got some screen-caps that clearly show it has a band of some sort down near the end. And it's very clearly part of the Mohawk. Maybe he did it that way to LOOK like a tail?

Edit: I just went back and looked through those screen-caps, and there is one shot during the scene just before Shredder mutates them (when they are strapped down) where you can see his Mohawk goes all the way down the back of his head, so it looks like he grew it out into a ponytail afterward.
