Did you? Do you remember the experience at all? Well, I wasn't even born when the original three were made, but I did see TMNT 2007 in theaters when I was 8 years old. I remember showing up a bit late, I'm pretty sure I arrived with my dad when April and Leo were talking in the caves. I know I liked the movie but the whole experience is vague. I remember the theater being packed and everyone laughed when Mikey said "I had dreams of birthday parties" and I remember the scene of Leo and Raph fighting was really shocking and intense for my 8 year old mind.

Wow you are a young dude but to answer your question yes I have seen every TMNT movie at the theaters. The original I saw twice and I was 8 or 9 years old myself when that came out :tcool:

Yep, I saw all of them in the theaters, and the original and the last one I saw multiple times. (It's going to be 25 years next year for the 1990 film. Yikes.:o

But, yeah, lets see, I would have been 12, and I was so used to the kiddy version on TV, that I was shocked at the violence and swearing in the movie, but I welcomed it. (I remember getting upset at Raph getting beaten up)

I know I definitely saw TMNT II and III in theaters when I was a kid, and of course I saw the 4th one in 2007.

But back in 1990 I was only 5 years old, so I cannot recall if I actually saw the first movie in theaters or not.

Yes. The first one and the third one. The 1st one was the first movie I ever seen in theaters. My brother didnt even tell me what we were going to see and I remember the exitement I had when I seen rapheals head pop out of the sewers watching april get his sai and ive never been happier. That and when him and leo rolled on the rooftop then split with leo coming up with a round house is really all I remember, but it was still great. As for the 2007 movie I thing I seen that movie 12 times before it left the theaters. Everyone knows what a turtle buff I am so it seemed like every other day someone was wanting me to go watch it with them, and who am I to say no to a free turtle movie? Lol.....

I think is missed the First and second As i was Over seas in England at a young age with no movie theaters close by. Every once and awhile they would have a Movie truck come with certain movies.

I saw the original opening night to a sold out theater. Stuck in the first row.

Saw TMNT at the Alamo Drafthouse midnight screening. Had green pizza and received bandanas.

The first film was bought for me on VHS as I missed it in the theaters. I did see SOTO at age 9 and III 10 in theaters an I still remember the theater where I saw SOTO (Chagrin Cinemas) because it was the only time I ever went to that one as a kid.

I've only seen the Imagi movie, saw it the last day it was running, I was the only person watching it.

I don't think cinema was on my mother's priority list when I was a kid, I didn't get to see a lot of movies as money was tight.

Unfortunately, the only one i saw at the cinema was TMNT from 2007. I wasn't alive for the other 3.

I do not remember seeing the first movie in theaters and it doesn't mean I didn't just that I do not remember, being five when the movie came out, many things was a blur, I do remember the ad on tv when they were showing that the vhs tape has come out to own, luckily I had just bought it and I was gloating to others about it while I was being babysat. I know for sure that I saw the second one in a mall where I got a secret agent Don in the local KB Toys afterword from my aunt, where I was introduced to the word "original" by the store employee trying to sell me on the original figures. I do still own all the original vhs tapes I watched over and over as a kid, including the third movie.

I saw the 2007 one in theaters during the regular week not on the weekend or anything. Not really as memorable for me, but I still liked it. I loved the ending with all the helmets and props from the previous movies.

The first tmnt movie was my first movie I ever saw at theaters, I vaguely remember it, but I remember my dad(RIP) taking me and my bro to see it. Dad for the win.

I can recall watching tmnt II in the theater but can't remember watching the first one but my mother told me before that she brought me to the theater to watch it.:tcool: But to be honest after watching it again (when I grew older) I hardly remember the plot, scenes and characters that were involved in the movie. I didn't even know Casey Jones was on it!

I remember wanting to see the first two in theaters, but my parents thought I was too young. I did see the third, though, but left about halfway through. I don't remember why exactly, but I do know the first whole movie I saw in theaters was The Lion King. lol

Ha, I got the VHS as a birthday present the following year (back then, you had to wait nearly a year or more before major movies hit the home market) I would watch that damn thing every day after school. I still have that too (I got all of the 90 movies on VHS, but they are now just put up as collector items since I upgraded to DVD)

All my old school VHS were given away to the local library because my did wanted to get rid of all of them Cuz dvds, which sucks but at the same time I have all the movies almost all the 80s show on dvd. I which they would re-release the 2k3 show on dvd properly. but i watched the crap out of my turtles lol had them all on VHS as a kid and watch all of them often lol.

I saw all of them at the movies. Distinctly remember being disappointed with the 3rd. I remember seeing the first two in the mall theater. After I saw the SOTO my parents bought me the Movie Star Turtles @ the KB toys. First film I was the ripe age of 5. Perfect age demographic for that flick, and the original era of Ninja Turtles.

Yeah I was 5 in 87 and watching the Turtles was like watching the moon landing or something. It was just so ridiculously awesome that words can't really express how fun it was to be a kid. I'm sure most generations feel that their cartoons and pop culture was the best but I really do think that the 80s shows and that age of cartoons is the standard that set the stage for all that would come after it. People forget that you didn't have as many options to watch cartoons like you do now. So for a show to really last it had to develop a following or it would quickly be gone. TMNT was an absolute cultural phenomenon and I think that even if this Nick show lasts for 5 or 6 years it still won't match the original wave of Turtle Mania. That's not to take anything away from it. I'm just using that to bolster the fact that the 87 popularity was absolutely off the charts.

Seen all four movies in theatres or cinemas as we call them here in the UK.

I actually won a competition that I didn't know I'd entered just by buying one of the toys. The prize was to see the first showing of the first movie in my area which was pretty cool.

I saw Turtles I and II in the theatre, but not III for some reason. I remember the first one vividly; it pretty much blew my head off. I would have been nine at the time, and I had no idea how special effects worked, so the Turtle costumes were like magic. I knew they were suits, but they seemed so completely real.

I can't remember much about seeing The Secrete of the Ooze, except that it was sold out when we tried to see it the first time, and had to come back a few days later.

I saw Turtles III for the first time on VHS and I was not impressed.

Watched the first movie at the Drive in, man I miss watching movies from the comfort of a vehicle. Miss the ole mono speaker on a wire that you put on your window. The rowdy teenagers drinking an smokin in the back row, in their party vans with the airbrushed barbarians an scantly clad wenches. Okay don't miss the last bit. Second and third movies were in the theatre with the floors that when you lifted your leg to take a step you could swear your shoe would stay behind. My brother was late coming home from a show one night, and I figured he tripped and I wouldn't see him till Saturday matinee:)

Extremely fond memories of seeing the first, pretty much at the height of turtlemania, and I remember being extremely disappointed by the silliness of the second.

Saw 1 in theatres when I was 12. That christmas got the VHS and played it 10 times before christmas break was over. Missed the second movie. But made sure I got it on VHS. Saw third movie in theatres. TMNT I saw twice in theatres. And will go see the new one when it comes out.

On a side note my earliest memories of seeing a movie in theatres was either rerelease of Bambi or Star Wars episode VI. Whichever was released first.

Believe it or not, no. I first saw the first two movies on VHS shortly after released on video and the third on a cable TV channel only about six months after release since it did poorly, and could understand why. IMO I tend to only go to the movies once or twice a yea if its something I really like, so home video/streaming/TV movies are my thing. I never watched the fourth movie on DVD (let alone see it) until 2010 when I purchased a copy at a yard sale right as I was rediscovering my love for the Ninja Turtles.

Before I die..I have to see the original in a deluxe cinema.

I can't..just can't leave this earth without seeing Shredder and the Turtles on the big screen.

The fight must have been epic in the theaters.

For those who did and can remember..what were some of the best crowd reactions? That's a very difficult thing to ask someone heh

I remember seeing all three in the local theater, in same theater room all three times too. I remember the light up sign with the TMNT picture on it over the door, not like now its in led text. The theater has never changed and it went from the theater to go to in town to the crappy old $1.00 movie theater... every time I sit in that room I can sit in the same chair I did when I saw the movies. It really brings back memories..

as for TMNT I saw it in san diego when I was stationed there.

I hope the new movie when it comes out my other local theater that plays all new movies does what it previously has done in the past. Which is play all the old movies the day the new one is out before 11pm then they play the new one at 12am. If that's the case ill be there all day long!

I will also wait for it to go to the $1.00 theater and then see if its in the same room like the others that would be cool!

Yup! All three, in fact. I never saw the CG one in theaters, but by then I was busy with life, bills, job, etc, and didn't have much time or $$ for movies. But I saw all three of the LA ones on the big screen, and the first one I went to opening weekend with two friends- and haven't been the same since. No, really. That movie actually brought me out of my own er, "shell" as it were. Went from a shy bookworm constantly getting walked on by others to a more outgoing "people person" who learned to stand up for herself. And yes, I owe it to that movie, odd as it sounds. Sometimes you just experience something that makes you look at the world differently, and changes how you see yourself. I guess that's why I love the TMNT so much. It did that for me.

I remember watching the original film in theaters and quoting the movie the whole drive home..."I love being a turtle!" ::backfist to the face::

...needless to say, my parents did not love being my parents that afternoon.
