Hey, I was just thinking:
Wouldn't be kinda cool if they made a cartoon or comic about the Turtles' early years, before they met Shredder, April, Casey, and the Utroms.
It would tell how they developed their personalities, how they got their bandanas, how they got their weapons, what adventures they had growing up, etc.
It would be called...Pre-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. :D
What do you guys think?

well in the ep tales of leo the turtles and splinter tell stories of leos early years to him to keep him from blacking out so we might see some pre-teen turtles.

oh i wonder what type of villions they would use in somthing like this....if it was a tv show super powered enemys...comic probably street thugs and bank robbers

Hey, I’m all for it. Still, I’m not 100% sold on the idea of an ongoing comic book or TV series just yet. However, I do think it’d make for an ass-kickin’ comic book mini-series or a cool three-parter for the new ‘toon. (And, as I've made known before, I'm totally comfortable with the idea of Pre-Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles action figures! Heh. :D )

That would be awesome, but it would be hard to find bad guys in it because they never actually went to the surface before hand. The best I can come up with is the Rat King, possibly other mutants like in "Notes from the Underground", or just thugs hiding out in the sewers. All I know is this would make a great character driven series instead of new villian every week.

Major... it would be hard for them to have villins, cause the fight inthe ally was their first fight, and first time above ground. If they did it it would probably be conflicts within the family or overcoming personal hurdles. Mabye they could have some conflicts with sewer dwelling creatures.

Furthermore, that would set the stage for a slightly different team dynamic than we're used to seeing with the guys. Imagine Splinter, still the father and teacher, but not yet as old, and shown in a more physically active role as the team leader; Leo showing the potential to one day be, but not quite there; Raph not yet as angry as he would become in those difficult teen years and some contributing factors that would eventually lead to the Raph that we know and love; etc., etc., etc.. There's a lot of potential in the idea.
You know . . . with Mirage's new Tales of the TMNT series coming up . . . heh, heh, heh . . . . :evilgrin:
Splinter should might as well be the main character.

Its not really streching it that much, its quite plausable, they could even go as far as that it was their first fight above ground, on the surface. :tsmile:

In the Archie comics, there was a PTMNT storyline. But this is for the new series, I assume? I don't think a PTMNT episode is a bad idea, I just can't think of any good story lines for it. But then again, I'm not getting paid to like the writers are.

well there could be a story were the turtles are forced to go into the sewers and attack splinter from the shadows, to help them on there ninja skills
I know if I think harder I could come up with 12 nmore ideas

They had a few stories in the old Mirage comics concerning the turtles when they were younger, and they worked, so it's feasible that another comic/cartoon based on pre-teen mutant ninja turtles would work as well. It might be lower on fights, but higher on character development. They could go in-depth into their training, which would be cool, maybe how they chose, (or got assigned) their respective weapons. I wouldn't mind a mini-series of some sort, myself.

Its an awesome idea. but it should reflect on them and the building of there personalites..maybe Leonardo and Rapheal used to best friends, untill they got older..but there shouldnt be any enemy fighting

well there would have to be some type of enemy, even if its with in them self........like raph fighting his inner demons
any way if its a comic and theres no enemy it probably wont sell well, because after a lot of training the turtles will have to test them selves sooner or later
but thats my opion
It would sell as character development, and the Ninja training they did, but it would at least need one bad guy.
Hmm...how about Venus? :D
