The May/June Issue of Entertainment Weekly is to feature a rather provocative cover of Jessica Alba...
...but more importantly, a section on the new TMNT film
http://i.imgur.com/MBwxxo5.jpg?1
- perhaps some new images are forthcoming?

If they actually do a eye candy scene with the turtles, like they did with Thor beef caking with his shirt off. I'd accept the designs in a heartbeat.
No, not really, but I'd give it two thumbs up.

Well that cover sure screamed, "FEMINISM" didn't it?
Its nice to know in the year 2014 women are still used as eye candy for sex appeal rather than real people. I wonder if they have an article saying women should stay in the kitchen too.

Female will always be seen as sex object it seems. And it sells.
I wonder what if women loses their beauty... will they no longer be worthy at all to the eyes of the world?

Can we stop with this MSNBC garbage please? Keep telling people that they're victims. It's the best way to keep everyone angry and divided. Women are performing better than men these days. They perform better in the job market. They perform better in college. Studies have shown that they are smarter with money and have better decision making skills. Women today have proven that they don't need a man to survive. It's so obvious what has been happening over the last five years alone.. Rile up the victimization rhetoric.. whether its race or gender, right out of the Saul Alinsky play book. It doesn't help anyone.
Men are sexualized just as much these days.

IM not going to get into another argument about the quantity of how much we have gotten of how we have been regularly feed bits almost every week since the first trailer.

ITs all a matter og how it laid out , The section i edited Is a scroll feature But with font and everything It safe to just assume 2 pages at the least 3 at the most.
Sorry I just know once this is mainstream Its going to be picked apart just as much as everything else.
Though i will say They mention 350 Animators and artist working with ILM on these guys and much much more
The whole Mag Focuses On Jessica And sex no joke there three pages about sex in this thing SMH

Thanks for sharing bro, I cannot wait to get my hands on a copy and read in greater detail the stuff they reveal. I LOVE BTS stuff, which is no secret to anyone here. I'm just going to keep resenting the excuse that "Oh they're mutants! they're supposed to look ugly!"
I don't like the designs. Plain and simple. How they're meant to look in a live-action film means jack-s*it to me.
EDIT: Also, if all mutants are meant to be ugly, then I guess we're purposefully excluding exceptions like Alopex or Koya, who were neither ugly in design or overly-sexualized furry-bait-to-distinguish-that-they're-girlz.

Women today have proven that they don't need a man to survive. It's so obvious what has been happening over the last five years alone.. Rile up the victimization rhetoric.. whether its race or gender, right out of the Saul Alinsky play book. It doesn't help anyone.
Men are sexualized just as much these days.

 Wait...
Um.. what type of "entertainment" are they discussing now with that cover? It's hilarious how the very first line of the cover says: "Perfect Sex! Let the Masters show you how p.40" or how the words for "[Your Summer] Must List" are next to Alba's chest. Those crafty cover page editors... Seems more like a cover of FHM or Maxim with that cover.
Considering "Masters" is italics, I'm going to assume it's an article about the Showtime program Masters of Sex, a dramatization about the human behavioral scientists Masters and Johnson.
It's a cheap ploy, as is the image of Alba. Again, a cheap ploy that they could at least level the playing field for by having the same shot with "StarLord" in the pool.
Oh for the wasted opportunities.

Anyone else note that pic also seems to confirm collapsible bo?
Seeing it a little more clearly I hope the picture there isn't the final product. I don't like the dalmation-like spots on Leo's head. One of the things I didn't like from Secret of the Ooze was the added spots on them. It's far from a deal breaker, but they don't seem to be pronounced in the trailer that I've seen, so I figure that's a little different in this art. Just a personal nitpick I didn't like from the second and third movies, seeing it on Leo just reminds me is all.
I'm still more "nerd raged" by Raphael damn near literally having shell pecs and a six pack o' shell abs. I dun' like shell abs! -_-
The images look like the same ones we'll see in the Visual history book. No interest in buying a magazine for this, but will be interested to see if anyone scans just the pages in for our viewing pleasure. :)

Can't tell 100% with the higher rez shot cut off, but looks like you're right. Wonder if when that end is collapsed it's regular bo sized and the extender is used for specific purposes or something.
Another thing I have noted that I love is with the turtles being much larger in this version than past ones, notice how small the handles of Leo's katanas look in his hands? I kind of like that. It shows the weapons weren't made for him; they were made for humans and his hands are much thicker/larger than an average human's hands.

Turtle bones aren't human shaped. Why would they elongate and mutate into bones identical to humans? You're trying to rationalize one element of fantasy over another. It makes no sense. Your argument hold no weight in reality when the very concept is mutating turtles that take on human characteristics physically.
So basically, your argument is " it's fantasy, anything flies". Good for you, but that still doesn't hold a whole lot of ground. It's still illogical that the acutes on a turtles plastron would form into the shape of pecks, abs and the whole Shebang like on a human torso. The plastron is still the ribcage covered in scutes.
Ribcage abs.

Well remind people of that when they argue the Bay designs are more realistic with their protruding lips and nostrils and that mutant turtles would be monstrous looking and that the real TMNT would wear clothes because their individuals and so on and so on...
While that particular art isn't the worst depiction of the Bay designs, after all it has something close to their classic faces I still think Leo and Mike's expression look kinda dopey, like their half asleep despite their "dynamic" poses.

*sigh I've said this before but trashing previous iterations is not going endear this new version to fans or indeed the casual audience but it seems to be one of the few constants from people involved in this movie.
Even before reading that I thought that looking at the article and the pictures they chose to represent past iterations they chose pretty poor representations for most and the fact that they include generally overlooked things like the Coming Out of Ours Shells Tour and the Next Mutation which are well known for their bad costumes I thought they were trying to subtlety show their designs as better...now it seems there was nothing subtle about it.

Unfortunately no.. It just talks about how the old turtles had mouths that didn't articulate well and had huge teeth. " Gone are the cheesy grins " stuff like that. That's what I meant when I said that some might feel a little offended after reading it. They talk about looking at tons of different skin and textures from different reptiles for inspiration, along with a few quotes from a few interviews.

Besides, it's funny, that they use the same sentiment, that was in use by some of the defenders of this movie. If you do not believe in coincidences, this allows for some interesting conclusions...

Than it doubly strange that they omitted 2003 series, even though in this one Turtles are somewhat close to the "Bay-o-freaks". Or maybe they omitted them exactly because they were quite similar to the 2014 designs, but much-much better and more true to the source.
And muscles shaped plastron is ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure I've counted 5 digits on my red-eared/yellow-bellied sliders hind legs... Not sure where you get the 4 from.
And sure, it's all fantasy, but still. If the plastron, which is the turtle's ribcage covered in keratin scutes shaped like the musculature of a human, why isn't the carapace the same? Why isn't the carapace's scutes simulating shoulder plates, back muscles and all that juicy stuff?
Because it's a shell? So is the plastron, it's the same shell. There are some very jarring design choices in these designs.
And a few interesting tidbits that's just useless knowledge. In the concept art pages on one of the printings of #1, it's shown that the Turtles was originally going to have claws, retractable claws, but to my knowledge that have never been used, but the Turtles have for the most part been depicted claw/nail-less besides a few instances, like the live action movies and the game OotS. And as for the three digit on the hands and two on the feet, it's sort of incorrect. The heel is supposed to be the third toe as the heel is extra elongated, but I don't think that is ever utilized or brought up, and only appears mostly in early Mirage art style and Lawson's art style.

Maybe mutagen turned their ribcage into a thick layer of skin and gave them a completly new humanoid ribcage instead of evolving their bones into more human like shape...

You seem to be obsessed with this plastron. It's non stop with this one area. Both arguments are illogical. We don't get to pick what's appropriate or inappropriate to suit our arguments. Do you honestly think that the 1990 designs/suits were more realistic or logical? To be fair.. claiming either way is ridiculous

Maybe mutagen turned their ribcage into a thick layer of skin and gave them a completly new humanoid ribcage instead of evolving their bones into more human like shape...
But then... The carapace must have detached from the spine and taken the back part of the ribs with it, since the spine and ribs are fused with dermal bones to make the shell, the pelvis bones are also fused to the shell (but not on Cryptodira) so a new spine have to be grown as well as a new ribcage, cause there won't be any left of the "old" ribcage since it IS a part of the shell, the bridges are mutated to oblivion, and the plastron mutates from dermal bones and kreatin scutes into a thick layer of hide simulating the muscles of a beefcake.
And if they aren't of the Cryptodira suborder, the pelvis have to snap off to added mobility, or else it would be stupid if the still where attached to the former spine that is now just a hanging carapace, stuck on the turtle by only being attached to the skin...
That gotta be a painful procedure... The mutagen might have some healing abilities like the ooze in IDW

Of course it is ridiculous, we're talking about bipedal turtles. But the Henson turtles had a lot going on in them, their musculature might be similar to a humans but they are still somewhat different, be it by design or Henson Creature Shop isn't as good as anatomy as one would think.
And it do boil down to taste. I personally prefer the turtles to be... Well turtles, they have a human-like structure, but they still in several incarnations hold a lot of turtle esthetics, like their limbs. The fore arms and legs are much wider then their shoulders (often depicted in Mirage and Nicktoon) which is very similar to a Slider, they have small shoulders but wider paws, and big feet. The shell is the defining feature of the TMNT as that usually is the link that they are turtles and not just Repilians, removing the shell bridge won't add flexibility, it'll just add "stupid". And make the plastron look like a fit human's torso complete with scutes shaped like abs, removes more and more of their turtle ness.

I can understand why you don't like the designs, but I don't think you should argue about the realism of the designs. The turtles designs have never been realistic, they are almost always depicted with three fingers and two toes, when in reality turtles have 5 claws on their hands and 4 claws on their feet (the Turtles have never had claws either), and I'm sure you could argue more. The designs of the turtles are always more focused on looking good than actually being realistic. However, many people do no think these turtles look good, so their designers failed on some level.
Well said again! The turtles have never obeyed to the laws of "true turtle biology", there's no need to get all SCIENCE every time there's something one doesn't like about the design. And as I've mentioned before, they are mostly a blend of human and turtle, looking exclusively in the turtle-direction of biology just doesn't fly in my head. Doesn't mean it ain't okay to be displeased with aspects of the new look, tho

Mostly it talk about the design and how they went about figuring out the skin texture and color looking at hundreds of different reptiles, that the older design Rockport suit for mobility and expressive turtles, that they have 350 plus artists and animators, and that they talked with marine biologist and the turtles are technically teenagers

I'm sorry, guys. Nope. These designs are terrible. Ugly, overdone and unappealing on damn near every level. It's trying way, way too hard to be "bad-ass", and as a rule, I find when someone has meddled this much with the core design of something, it's a pretty big red flag that they've missed the point and appeal of the characters/concept on a fundamental level.
It's my opinion and nobody else has to share it, but there is no way I'm paying money to look at these hideous things for two hours.

Lets not pretend that people haven't tried in the past and have gotten absolutely nowhere, and there is a reason why people get nowhere around here while debating which anatomy/design is more " logical" .. We can sit here and go back and forth all day long with our superiority complexes while covertly doing a million google searches and reading books on plastron and turtle anatomy but at the end of the day There is nothing " reason-minded about it, "we're talking about four mutant ninja turtles living in a sewer!"
It's exhausting is what it is. Pretty sure that is what you're witnessing, fatigue. Spinning wheels stuck in mud. Every day it's something else and that's fine but it really doesn't matter anyways bc this film was " doomed " from the start regardless of how accurate or realistic these designs were. Ill just save myself some time and just... admit, that the older suits were way more " turtlish" than these retched things. They were more realistic, more logical.

That of course is not to say it isn't true to how the creators of this movie feel and went about designing the characters but that doesn't make it look better.
There's really no explanations no matter how well though out or articulated that are going to make them appealing if they feel they just don't look good.

Well you have me at a disadvantage as you've read the article but I'm guessing from what you've put it's an explanation of the faces rather than the overall designs, yes?
If so I don't think it's that cut and dry as you make out.
It is unnecessary by virtue of the fact that they didn't need to go the rout they did and several people with knowledge of movie making have suggested other ways and cited examples of the same effect being used without going the direction they did.
I personally feel that they didn't put much thought into it and went with the full motion capture rout since it's the "in" thing but lets for the sake of discussion cut them some slack and assume they really did seriously weigh up all their options and felt this was the best one...it doesn't really get around the main issue of it just not looking "good" to a lot of people.
It's nice that they've put a lot of thought and work behind this but that doesn't mean it's the right direction, does it?

Lions and Tigers are cats...it fits in the same logic of looking at other reptiles
i mean if they are just going to use other reptiles as reference why even make them turtles?
ANd THATS NOT EVEN THE SAME,
no sam it is the same..if i was going to build a lion puppet, i look up pictures of Lions.....i don't just use my cat as a reference be cause they are both feline
if i was going to build a wolf puppet i wouldnt use my dog just because they are both canine..i would look up pics of a wolf
if someone is going to design a turtle they should never have checked the reptile section past turtle..the are almost countless versions of turtle species they could already use as reference
hell i do it when i make my custumes...my cosplay shell is a combination of Sea, Tortoise, and Slider
To me at least, the past designs never seemed to look much like turtles at all, at least in their faces. However, they still looked really good and were overall great designs. Although these new designs are much more human looking, they don't appear to be less turtles looking. Although I would definitely prefer more traditional designs (like the artist whose art I am using for my avatar), I do not find these designs ugly, although I definitely can see how some could find them ugly.

Why is increased physical abilities ramping up marital arts action contradicting to one another? They can still be crazy physical specimen while simultaneously being skillful marital artists. Your complaint makes no sense.
Strictly speaking when people think of ninjas, they think stealth, agility, ability to conceal ones self and so on. Obviously it's harder to imagine rather large "hulk-like" figures doing this, especially if they are loaded with tons of accessories which would make it difficult.
Obviously with cgi creatures they can be as agile as they want to make them regardless of how big they are. Same with Mike's chains and Leo's bamboo armor and Don's machinery. None of it will make a noise and certainly like Raph's magic shades will never fall off because it's not really there.
That doesn't really stop people from looking at it and thinking "hmm that doesn't seem quite right".

Your complaint makes no sense. to me the appeal of stories with martial artist characters has always been the underdog factor with them having to use skill and will to overcome greater odds whether its being outnumbered or outmatched in some way like size or strength. that's what makes their battles thrilling to watch. but when the good guys look as big and strong as they do here all the tension is gone. Seriously what normal human is going to stand a chance against a highly trained creature of hulking stature who can apparently crush a vehicle under his weight?

Martial arts is a skill, not a body type. Increased size, strength, agility, quickness, speed, leaping ability will only amplify their martial arts action on screen. As we briefly saw with Leos super super somersault leap off the water tower.
You are missing my point Garry, they are suposed to be Ninjas, not body builders, Martial Artist and Body builders have completly diferent body types, one has small but well defined and lean body while other is just blown up like a ballon, it's way easier to move if you have a smaller body. Of course they can move unristricted when you do them in CG but it looks completly unnatura when you look at the way they are designed. Maybe they have full prison style weight lifting gear down in the sewers and pump their muscles every day, who knows...

The Avengers could have made the Hulk do backflips and sumersaults if they wanted, but they didn't because they knew it would look stupid and fake.
We know the TMNT are gonna be CGI. We know they're basically cartoon characters cut and pasted to interact with Fitchner and Megan.
The thing is, when you watch the movie, you're not supposed to know it's fake. You're supposed to lose yourself into the movie and just go with it. That'll be hard to do if we giant-sized two-ton Turtles somehow able to do backflips and cartwheels. The obvious fakeness of it all will take us out of it and distract us from the movie.

Interestingly, my sword art instructor told our class once, that the bigger muscles you had, the harder it would be to do a lot of the techniques in our sword style correct, as it involves a lot of "making yourself a smaller target", keeping arms close to your body, stand I a certain way to not show your entire body etc.

Lions and Tigers are cats...it fits in the same logic of looking at other reptiles
i mean if they are just going to use other reptiles as reference why even make them turtles?
no sam it is the same..if i was going to build a lion puppet, i look up pictures of Lions.....i don't just use my cat as a reference be cause they are both feline
if i was going to build a wolf puppet i wouldnt use my dog just because they are both canine..i would look up pics of a wolf
if someone is going to design a turtle they should never have checked the reptile section past turtle..the are almost countless versions of turtle species they could already use as reference
hell i do it when i make my custumes...my cosplay shell is a combination of Sea, Tortoise, and Slider
Yea but I think people are kind of taking that and running in the wrong direction with it. Yea they looked at a bunch of skin and textures of different reptiles for "inspiration" but it doesn't mean that they went with anything other than the skin/texture of a turtle. Bc it seems obvious to me at least that they went with a " turtle texture" like skin. People were even saying that Donnie had acne when it was clearly turtle-like skin., scales. I just think that this is another interview that is being taken out of context. But on the other hand, people haven't seen it in it's entirety yet so it's understandable.
Considering that those ideas directly contradict each other...you must be fan of milk and cucumbers, don't you? :D
No.. they don't actually. I no it's become common place around here to assume that just bc you're a large person or creature means that you can't be a ninja. Yea being tiny or small in some cases would be beneficial. But it's not essential.. it's not required. Ninjas were trained assassins. Size has nothing to do with it really, Skill and awareness of your surroundings.. that is what's important. I'm not pointing the finger at you personally but I understand that some will do back flips and jump threw hoops to invalidate this film in every way. Some of it being totally unjustified blatant stupidity. Another thing I keep hearing people say is " Umm.. the Foot are a clan of ninja thieves, and? " I hate you Bay for turning them into a black ops team with guns." Smh... It's painful to read some of the crap being said lol. For one this movie doesn't take place in feudal Japan. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure it does not. and from what I've read.. The Foot had ray guns back in the 80's.. not one peep about that though. But sense it's Bay lets throw it out lol. This is the 21st century and imho I think they look the way Foot SOLDIERS should. A ninja IS a mercenary.
A little passage from wiki:
The ninja were stealth soldiers and mercenaries hired mostly by daimyos.[45] Their primary roles were those of espionage and sabotage, although assassinations were also attributed to ninja. In battle, the ninja could also be used to cause confusion amongst the enemy.[46] A degree of psychological warfare in the capturing of enemy banners can be seen illustrated in the Ōu Eikei Gunki, composed between the 16th and 17th centuries:
I know I'm wondering off topic again and I apologize. But back to what I was saying before. Size has nothing to do with being a ninja. It is all in how you carry/handle yourself and how aware you are of your surroundings. If you've mastered your environment and are skilled enough to use it to your advantage to achieve stealth and misconception then size will not be an issue imo. I remember seeing in the beginning of the TMNT trailer the turtles taking out the foot from within the shadows. I think we're definitely getting the " ninja " in Ninja Turtle.

The issue with the Foot, for me at least is that TMNT have a very unusual style portraying the Foot Clan's "ninja uniform" that we (at least I) haven't seen in any previous depictions before in fiction. It's "always" been the mono (usually black) dogi with the atypical mask.
The bug-eyed Foot is so unique, I think it'd would have been a great add-on to a movie franchise of having very recognizable enemies, like the Stormtroopers in Star Wars. The PD Foot Soldiers, look very generic military, save the grimy kabuki mask. Even the Foot Soldier action figure looks like a generic soldier GI Joe toy.

I don't get why people are arguing about this at this point at all. We've seen the skin textures and they actually look great and are among the things that most people seem totally happy with. So what if they "looked" at other stuff when they were working on it, it's the end result that counts and in this specific case it turned out good.

I agree about this. I was a bit disappointed and still am that we won't get foot soldiers with much recognizable traits (appearance wise) from any of the previous incarnations. They wear black... and cover their faces, that's about all the similarities there is and it could be applied to x number of villains in various franchises! Had a fan been shown these foot soldiers a year ago without any context they wouldn't have a clue what they were looking at.
Very true. More human looking then the 90's turtles: Yes. Less turtle-looking then the 90's turtle: No. The Henson suits looked more like frogs or gecko's or something in the faces, but it's what people were used to from the Fred Wolf cartoon and comics too, so it still completely reasonable to be needing a bit of time to get used to new version (and some probably never will)

I agree with you that there isn't really a size reqiurement to be a ninja but the thing is that being bigger and larger than an average man would without question make it more difficult and for that reason it seems like an odd route to go in. The fact is that the turtles as they are usually depicted would have an easier time being stealthy and staying out of sight than these scaled up versions would. And I don't think you can really campare this version of the foot to the ones in the original cartoon because of course there would be no complaints against that depiction seeing as the audience were kids who were just being introduced to the concept and had nothing to compare it to. If id have been old enough to know about the source material I don't think id have been fond of the robots with ray guns idea either. Plus I barely remember the foot bots being used all the much in the series anyway. I think they were mostly regulated to the games after the first season.

The Avengers could have made the Hulk do backflips and sumersaults if they wanted, but they didn't because they knew it would look stupid and fake.
Or maybe they didn't have Hulk do backflips and summersaults because he's never been know for that. He's 'Hulk smash' not 'Hulk flip', so the reason they didn't have him doing those things in the movie isn't because they thought it would look fake, but because Hulk isn't a trained gymnast or martial artist.

Yes, Raphael in the 2k3 show did physical things. But nothing even remotely in the same vein of this Raphael Killing a Humvee like a Transformer or an Incredible Hulk would do.
And Yes...Mikey took on and beat a Tall, alien gladiator by using his Martial Arts Skills because he is a Trained Ninja.

My point was is he doesn't Do anything even hulk related AS he slide down the mountain at a high speed is thrown ever faster then flips( like a ninja would) making contact with his shell a shell that can with stand exponentially more then 2,900 pounds of pressure which an average turtle can. I'm doing my best to keep an open mind on many aspects of this film, but the military foot is something that I have absolutely zero patience for. I freely admit, I understand why some people like the concept/why they feel it makes sense. I understand that Bay has his audience, and I'm definitely not here to rag on anyone for liking Bay.
Myself, I am not a Bay fan - not because I think it's somehow cool to hate on him; I'm just not his target audience. His movies aren't the kind of thing that I usually watch. That doesn't make me any more right or wrong than anybody here.
That being said, I find it frustrating when any filmmaker starts repeating themselves to the point of caricature. There's a difference between having a distinctive style, and just sticking things into your movies because you like them, regardless of whether it's appropriate for the project. There's a reason why I haven't enjoyed a Tim Burton film in a long time - because as much as audiences do like familiar things, it's a fine line. Edward Scissorhands was a masterpiece, but eventually I am going to get tired of every project having Danny Elfman, Helena Bonham Carter, Johnny Depp and curliques, with absolutely no variation.
Yes, it's Bay's movie, it's Bay's money and he can put whatever he wants into it. The fact remains that I would have zero interest in this project if it weren't Turtles-related, and I'm not looking forward to sitting through the military stuff to get to the Turtles parts. It's not that I don't enjoy the military being in films - Aliens is one of my all time favourite movies - Bay's jarheads just don't work for me personally as characters or plot devices.
And I know he's "just a producer" - let's just agree to disagree on this one; my partner's an indie filmmaker so while that doesn't make me a genius on the subject of filmmaking, I'm well aware of exactly how much influence directors and producers have over their projects.
TL;DR - I don't like the way Bay has to put the military into every single movie he does.
Probably this'll kick off another round of kvetching, but it's just my two cents. *shrugs*

Which kind of goes against the who stealth thing if they can't perform an action like that without damaging their surroundings.
Of course as I've pointed out this will conveniently not happen when the script doesn't call for them to. Just like Mike's chains wont jangle or Raph's shades wont fall off his head; that's just the magic of these things not being real.

'Raph smash'? I hate that comparison ... he backhands a Foot soldier, and, um, uh ... he's big. Also, 'destroying' (really, he put a huge dent in it) a armored humvee isn't really THAT out there, with the context of everything else in that scene going on. TMNT has some pretty weird things going on in all franchises, and being thrown into a humvee and making a dent isn't the biggest 'out there' thing.
However, I see where this is all coming from. Size. They are huge. I don't think everyone's real problem is 'Raph smash'. It's that, when we see this big turtle size, we think of Hulk. We see him hit ONE DUDE with the back of his hand, and we see that comparison of Hulk. And because we haven't seen any martial arts yet, we blame the film of being 'Raph smash'. Isn't that a reach? It is at least for now, since we've hardly seen anything. And I don't think everyone's true problem is the Humvee being smashed, it's more the fact that, again, they are huge.
Which I get. But let's complain about what we truly want to complain about. And let's not draw a lot of conclusions either. We haven't seen 'Raph smash', at least I believe. We can't say there will be no martial arts in the film, since all we see in the trailers are a few flips and a cut of Donnie fighting the Foot (from behind). Also, we can't confirm there WILL be martial arts in the film, even if we do see them doing some flips in the trailer, Donnie fighting the Foot, and we've seen a few glimpses of some behind the scene stuff that has led us to believe what we believe.
Its not like he runs up to it and smashes it with his bare hands dude. He is throught while traveling down the mountain and a very high speed, he Does a flip(very acrobatic) and connects with his shell, If a normal turtle shell can with stand over 2,900 pounds of pressure, then th increase size increase its strength relative to its size. they are Invulnerable but there shells are very strong.
Very reasonable approach to the scene.
Name me one other time where any turtle completly crushed a Humwee with their back?
That is a flawed argument. When have we seen this exact same event in the turtles franchise happen before? It hasn't? Say whaaaa? Then I'm going to complain about it.
We don't want a cut and paste movie here, guys. No one does. Even the negative people. If we saw the EXACT same fight sequences, heard the EXACT same lines, saw the EXACT same events as past TMNT cartoons, movies, comics, etc, then it would be the most boring thing ever.
They were trying to make this movie different, and the way they tried to do that was to make things very, very different. As in, change a lot (for better or for worse). They don't want to be a copy of versions in the past, and I'm glad they didn't. (However, they could've easily made a great film with more traditional TMNT elements.)
The reason we haven't seen Raph slam into a Humvee before and put a dent into it is because, in past versions, they haven't been this big. Also, there isn't a lot of snow on huge vast hills in New York. And, usually, there aren't armored cars chasing the turtles sliding down their backs during the certain snow scene because THIS HAS NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE.
If we are just sticking to what has happened before, if we just want to be copies of the past, nothing would ever go anywhere. If we aren't up for change, any change, and are always asking ourselves when something has previously happened, we'll never be content with what we get. Ever.
Most of the turtles stories take place in modern day New York, and I never heard anyone complain about the Foot using ninja weapons. Even the Fred Wolf Foot had ninja weapons in the old toon in addition too their ray guns. Hell it makes no sense why the turtles would use ancient martial arts weapons against soldiers with modern arms. We might as well give them guns too because Raph used them in bodycount.
Just a thought, but ... would you guys have preferred military Foot soldiers, or robot Foot soldiers that would have a familiar Bay touch on them? I'm seriously asking. Personally ... I don't know.
So...let me get this straight.
You show a time where Raph turned into pretty much a Dinosaur to prove your point?? Am I missing something here? I'm not trying to be rude but...seriously?
You said earlier, speaking of humvees and 'smashes', that "I don't think Raphael has ever been known for doing that stuff." You know what else he wasn't known for? Turning into a dinosaur. You see, things change. Creative teams go out of their way to make things new and exciting for everyone.
And, Peter Laird, the co-creator behind the TMNT movie, approved of this. And guess what? I think it's a cool, interesting story that I'll be happy to read someday! Because I'm not allergic to change, and I'll be open to seeing something new, even if it isn't what I prefer the most.
We can't just be critical of this new movie for change in things like size, just because it was 'changed'. Yes, we can dislike it, but I'm not sure we can put changes like size change down as negative while being positive about similar things in other versions of the turtles.
Just stating that writers do certain things to entertain us, why is it ok to change one turtles into a dino reject and make him destroy walls and rip robots apart with his bare hands but make them break bricks and smash humvees is not?
People hating on this movie are quick to complain about everything in it, but at the same time are willing to accept everything that comes out of Peter's mind, no matter how stupid and unrealistic it is.
Well said, even though I may not agree with the 'stupid and unrealistic' aspect.
I just want to say I have nothing against anyone that I'm replying to, even if I may be passionate. It's late. Sorry if I may have offended anyone, or came off as angry, and I'm really not trying to start any arguments, even though I felt like I had to say something and touch on this subject.

I can't recall an instance of it. In fact I'm willing to go out on a limb and say it's never happened in the franchise before this.
Well, Leo did crack the concrete in Blind Sight when he fell down a several stories building and became concrete pizza. Besides getting skewered by his own sword, he also broke several bones by the impact. (And died ofc)
But, that was a what if scenario.

Just saying...
And, when Raph hulked out after being bitten by Vampires, he was first just a rage monster. And when he got his mind set right, he was still a lumbering giant, had to make adjustments for his big bulky size.

Can you explain why bricks break when Leo lands from that jump?
I might be wrong here but.. " F = m g h / s "
Maybe the bricks were old? Did you not see how high that tower was? If we're gonna nit pick like this we can go ALLL DAYYY LONGG on other superhero films including the untouchable Marvel franchises lol.
^^^
Which kind of goes against the who stealth thing if they can't perform an action like that without damaging their surroundings.
Of course as I've pointed out this will conveniently not happen when the script doesn't call for them to. Just like Mike's chains wont jangle or Raph's shades wont fall off his head; that's just the magic of these things not being real.
However it still seems wrong.
You haven't read the script...? am I missing something here? How do you know they will be wearing this stuff the entire film. In the trailer it seemed like they were being pretty stealthy to me when they were taking out the foot from the shadows. Just bc he damaged a couple bricks while NOT trying to be stealthy doesn't mean he is unable to be when necessary. Everyday its a different straw around here lol

You're absolutely correct dude.. No offense to anyone personally but, it's honestly mind boggling. Also.. if you point this out you get the " What, it's my opinion, Am I supposed to love EVERYTHING this franchise has to offer? So I'm not a fan if I don't like this movie? Why do you guys get so mad just bc we state our opinions on this crap? " BUT... lol if someone points out just ONE fault with the original live film? all hell breaks loose lol. Let one of us go into a thread about the original film and start ripping it apart the way this film has been ripped apart and see how " tolerant " people are. Not saying that I find any fault in the first film. As of right now it's my favorite piece of TMNT. But some of the stuff people gripe about with this film and ONLY this film seems unjustified.. and yet all these other films get free passes? It's just... whatever.

One of two things with this thought process.
1. He's right and Leo breaks bricks by landing in one scene and then they can flip and move silently with no impact upon landing in others so they can be ninja. Just internal inconsistency (something I've ripped Man of Steel apart for) if one scene their weight has this much affect on their surroundings and in others they don't.
2. He's wrong and all scenes will have such effect, in which case, how are they silent and stealthy ninja?
You noted the equation. If they are stealthy in some and not in others, because Leo didn't want to be stealthy in that scene, then we're also suggesting they can alter physics to suit their desire for stealth. ;)
I dunno. I just don't expect the look of them to lend itself to traditional silence and stealth you think of with ninjas. But then, it's a Hollywood brain-dead action flick. I don't expect a lot of internal consistency and remotely any logic.
Michael Bay specifically? Bad Boys II taught me to not expect rational plot.
Hollywood as a whole? They made A Good Day to Die Hard.

Oh, and if you think nobody criticizes the original films, you're crazy. Secret of the Ooze and III get a lot of flak, even if the original largely gets defense. Rotten Tomatoes shows the decline of general public opinion on them as well. ;)
Then again, the Transformers films are all fairly rotten on there, but the International box office LOOOOVES them. Though TMNT doesn't have giant robots, so we'll see if mutants are loved internationally as much as hot cars and robots.

It would be awesome if this was the case. Everywhere they go they leave foot prints in concrete. They rip doors off the hinges just by opening them and then destroy the frame by walking through. April invites them to her apartment and they smash all her furniture.

For your own information, you need to stand up and try this: First, jump up as high as you can, and land softly. Next, jump again as high as you can, and land with a thud. You will be amazed at your own ability to alter physics! And you aren't even a mutant ninja turtle, you're just a regular human (do you even know ninja? Or yoga? Can you even jog on a treadmill for 30 seconds without needing medical attention?!)
The fact that this is the kind of **** that people are upset about with this movie is incredible. Who cares, it is a ****ing movie about mutant turtles. Just let it entertain you. If you can't get past this kind of thing in a movie, then I don't understand how you can be a fan of this genre in the first place. This is just far too nit-picky.

As a comment on the brick breaking jump from Leo. I think it would have been less of an issue, had the Turtles had a more traditional size to them, and considering the things we've seen in the trailers: Leo cracking some brick from landing, Raph impacting a Humvee and punts a Foot off-screen.
it piles up, from several small red dots to a big blinking warning light :P

Sound of impact and altering the force of impact to landing light as a feather versus landing with enough force to crumble brick aren't exactly identical.
Nice insults, though, Internet tough guy.

For the moment, I'm talking hypothetical, but my point is I expect internal consistency within the film.
If Raph's shell can damage a humvee like it does, I wouldn't expect them being struck in the shell by a baseball bat to even phase them, nor any other blunt weapon swung by a human. If they go with Blue Door influence and their shells are bullet resistant, I question how much damage other weapons could do to the shell as well.
If Leo's weight is enough that it damages brick upon landing, I expect the same principle applied throughout a film.
If Raph can backhand a human off like they were nothing, I don't expect him to struggle against a human in combat.
And these may all remain consistent throughout the film, we don't know. It's just hypothetical examples.

I very much agree with all of that.
Plus weren't there folks being thrown back & around like they were Rag Dolls (subway or docks stuff) in the promotional material? If so, wouldn't that also further enhance that 'super strength' factor? And if people bring up 'well, the older films had folks being thrown like that'...these are the same people that do say that the original films were more cartoony than realistic.
But the same people keep bringing up that this film is supposed to be 'a more realistic approach'. The same people who say 'well, the reason they look like they do is because it'd be More Realistic for them to look that way'.
So if you are going to bring up that realistic card, then the only Realistic Way people will be thrown around like they were Rag Dolls is if the Turtles have Much More Enhanced Strength. To me, that would be boring.
And if that's the case, then it begs the question...why wouldn't combat be nothing but an Easy Breeze for these Turtles in this movie? Which again, to me that would make it Boring, not Exciting.

I suddenly came to think... In the toy pictures we see that Raph has a huge crack running down the back of his shell, and in the trailer it appears that he has pieces of scrap metal in a cross attached to his shell... I'm wondering if this can actually imply that Raph indeed bit over more then he could chew in that snow-escape scene and perhaps Don had to do some improvised first-aid to at least try preventing it from getting worse until they can get to safety?
Just me randomly putting things together based on very little here, but I'm interested in knowing how and if (big if here) any of this connects in the actual film.

Turtle shells can handle a lot of pressure, but they can still crack or get pierced. It's not unlikely Raph gets majorly injured with the humvee impact.
Cause remember. One of the more effective methods of braking a turtle's shell is gravity. Just ask turtle meat hungry birds of prey.

Thank you. That sums up my own feelings on it perfectly.
And when I watch a Turtles film, I'm not looking for 'superhero' stuff. I never thought of them nor ever wanted them to be amped up to 'superhero' status. To me, that would make it more boring. Not exciting.
I'm sorry, that is not what I look for in a Ninja Turtles film. Just because it's different doesn't mean (to me) that it's Good. The Turtles don't Need that. I just don't see what would be Exciting for them to be like that...

Regular turtles? Sure. These are like 6'5 hulking genetically modified, mutated super soldier turtles. Stop with attempting to realistically explain the lack of PLAUSIBILITY in what happens in that scene by comparing it to real world turtles. And who knows, he might get injured there. Sacrificing his body to take out a humvee. It looks cool AF..
Still not unlikely that he gets injuried.

Stop with attempting to realistically explain the lack of PLAUSIBILITY in what happens in that scene by comparing it to real world turtles.
And yet if someone complains about the looks of the Turtles and talk about why they don't care for them, others will ridicule them and use the main argument of "Because it's More Realistic, so stop crying. This is how they'd look in real life."
So in other words, some people can't use 'the real life argument' for certain things but the 'real life argument' can be used for other stuff (like the Designs/Looks of the Turtles)?

Another idea came to my mind after reading some of the stuff here. More like another reason why I don't like Bay's Teenage Mutant Brawler Hulks.
When TMNT is regular human-sized, its make easier to see them as human-like characters. You can understand how they feel in a battle against multiple Foot Soldiers for example, who usually attack in numbers. Or how the act, when they some big (size-wise) menace. One of the aspects of TMNT, which I always like, was Turtles difference from regular superheroes. Aside from appearance they're pretty much like people, which makes them all the more relatable and interesting, personality-wise.
With Turtles being giant monstrocities, it's harder to empathize with them. It's hard to see how even MANY Foot Soldiers will pose any kind of threat to them, if Shrek'les can dispose of them with one single punch. And, if infamous Hummer scene is any indication they also have superdurability and superstrength. Basically it makes them quite similar to any other superstrong superheroes, which instantly destorys a lot of of appeal of their characters. There are pretty much like any other superhero at that point. They lose their uniqueness, and this is certainly is something, that I don't like.
So in other words, some people can't use 'the real life argument' for certain things but the 'real life argument' can be used for other stuff (like the Designs/Looks of the Turtles)?

I disagree.. yea he cant change his weight but there are other factors at play.. Esp. when we're talking Ninja. Like basic decision making skills lol. It goes right back to what I was trying to say before. If it was his intention to be "stealthy" I don't think he would have jumped off of a 30+ foot tower. Not sure how high it was.. but it was high. I think it's a question of judgment. It is obvious with that scene that Mikey and Leo were not trying to be stealthy. I think we will get some " stealth " in this Ninja Turtles movie. I know ill probably get reamed for saying this but.. its is a movie.. I think some slack should be given anyway.
In other parts of the trailer they were taking out Foot members from the shadows. I assume that's how the beginning of the film will play out. All stealth and build up. I'm all for it. I remember when I used to skate.. it was all about weight distribution and foot placement. After all it is the broken bricks that some are griping about " cant believe that I'm saying this but it is what it is ", when taking all of the other factors into consideration I don't find it to be that mind boggling. I actually find this whole topic amusing. Every once and a while ill stop and think to myself.. wait lol why the hell am I talking about broken bricks lol.
it's a Hollywood brain-dead action flick. I don't expect a lot of internal consistency and remotely any logic.
I agree with the fact that this IS a movie.. but I wish there was some consistency in the griping around here. I wish people wouldn't discriminate against a film and how "logical' or "practical" it should be just bc it has the Platinum Dunes label written on it while other franchises get a free pass in this area. I don't expect it to be as brain dead as some of you expect it to be. Yea I know the second some of you see the word BAY on a film you think all intelligence goes out the window. But again he is one out of six producers. A lot of them were hand picked by Peter Laird. Walker and Mednick get TMNT. So does Kevin Eastman. I also think that you have to be somewhat of a decent writer to write the screen play for a Mission Impossible flick, but that's just me. I enjoyed Ghost Protocol.

Lets just say it.. only this film deserves to have every single little detail dissected, torn apart and dismissed.
then we're also suggesting they can alter physics to suit their desire for stealth. ;)
Lol come on man? Have you ever used a skateboard? It is not altering the laws of physics as I understand them. Mass is not the only factor in play here.
I'm pretty sure judging by the Trailer that we will see some stealth in this film. God lol you guys will go to any length to invalidate this movie. At least you acknowledge it being a Hollywood film. About their shells, on the mirage comics (don't remeber wich number sorry) one of the turtles get's shot at and survives because the bullet hit's his shell, and on the Archie comics all 4 turtles survive an explosion by hiding inside their shells. If that's ok then why is it so wrong that Raph crashes the humvee and survives?
And the bricks? A Giant Tortoise can weigh as much as 300 kg (660 lbs), try and drop that on a couple of bricks and see how much of those stay intact, now imagine a turtle as big as an human and do the same, the whole building should collapse on his weight.
And about the faces being like that because they are more realistic, I don't think that it's realistic as in what a mutated turtle would look like in real life and more as in what their faces would look like if they would talk and have more realistic expressions.

I'm talking about people on here and other sites/forums, who if you complain about the look of the Turtles, they literally do say 'because it's what a Ninja Turtle would look like in real life. It's More Realistic. They wouldn't look cute. They'd look Ugly and like Freaks and etc.'
Thus they use the realistic argument on that front by literally saying that. But if folks who don't look forward to the film use the 'realistic angle' in their arguments...then they are deemed 'In The Wrong'.
That's what I meant.

lol I too have heard that same thing. I guess wearing Trench coats wouldn't work today...even though Raph gets dressed in one in that one photo/pic and looks like a Creeper/Pervert trying to find little girls.
It'll sound silly but...then wouldn't it be more realistic for Raphael to use Guns then instead of his Sais?
Since people bring up other/past comic book issues, I do remember when Raphael used guns. Whether it be Bodycount. Or even in the Image Comics, he used guns and took care of some guys before he wore the Shredder's Armor.
So again, why not just have Raphael use guns (that he gathered from gang members, because Realistically they would have guns. Not baseball bats or chains or anything), modify them to fit his finger to the trigger, and just use those instead of his Sais?
Why not do that? Wouldn't that be more realistic in this day and age, a guy fighting crime with guns instead of Sais? And you can't complain...otherwise you just don't like Change ;)

I suddenly came to think... In the toy pictures we see that Raph has a huge crack running down the back of his shell, and in the trailer it appears that he has pieces of scrap metal in a cross attached to his shell...
I sort of got the impression that that was duct tape, not scrap metal? I could be wrong though!
I do agree that a big part of the reason that I don't know how to take some of the changes they've made is down to this "real life" thing - as in, is a more realistic take what they're going for, or not? I have no idea what context to take some of the things they're doing in, as I don't know whether this movie is meant to be more cartoonish in scope, or whether we're getting the Nolan treatment on the Turtles.
I don't care either way which path they choose, I'd just like it to be consistent across the board - at least it would give me some framework to properly judge what they're doing.

My guess is Sach holds a blade to Splinter's neck and forces them to put down their weapons...
That, or they wanted to be captured so they are taken to the villain's location, and they know Raph, April and Vern (should be Casey) is following them. Maybe Sachs is going to try and do with the mutagen that Magneto was trying to do in X1, make everyone into a mutant and the Turtles have to stop it.
Ugh, I'm thinking too much on this.

You literally have people making arguments that it isn't plausible for the turtles to be large, muscular beings and still have ninja abilities. When the very context of the argument is fictional mutated, humanoid shaped turtles.
Oh, and muscular plastrons is blasphemous departure of reality in terms of how they would mutate. Or them having lips. But it's totally fine that their bone structure completely alters to mimmic humans in the first place.

We all know these stuff is fake but this is not the discussion.
The discussion here is how fake can some one take.
Anthropomorphized animals have been around since forever which is why a turtle standing up and having human-like physique is not that strange, but when you start going further and further into either side then stuff may end up looking strange to some folks.

Hello Technodrome, I think the issue is how realistic will they look in the world they have created. People are using examples for this world. The world of the movie might be perfect for the turtle designs. Putting the 90's turtles in this film would look unrealistic to the 2014 world. Just like putting FW turtles into the new IDW comic would be silly. I can see why people think they look ugly or have to much baggage, but lets hope in the 2014 world it works.

I am sorry, but it doesn't make sense. World of 2014 is not very different from 1990s. Classic Turtles designs would've worked as good as they always did in realistic setting.
Your childish attempts to irk people by continuing to call them Shrekle's and giant monstrosities I also find amusing.
You need some help, if you take such things as personal insult.
You've got that right lol. I thought this was someone else's response to your post but it's not. It's all you Smh
And this guy talked some stuff about me using childish arguments to irk people. Now THAT'S amusing.
I love it when people like you call this " lazy " just bc it's not the cut and paste duplicate that you want.
So using actually good stuff that worked in the past is "cut&paste" now? LOL. I bet all this time, when Batman looked remotely similar to his classic apperance is "cut&paste" job, which doesn't deserve any recognition.
It doesn't make sense, but on the other a lot of things don't, when it comes to people who protect every little decision regarding this movie.
Once again another double standard lol.
But of course!!
I've yet to see sheep being as rude as AF, who constantly insults everyone, including mods.
See, I don't follow this at all, though. You may be right that there is some legit martial arts stuff that we haven't seen yet, but all that the promotional materials have shown us so far is "Raph Smash" style action. These trailers and ads were specifically edited to showcase the movie's style, tone, and content. It's not a "reach" to judge based on the material we're specifically being given to make a judgment of the movie. If they do have something that better represents the actual movie and they haven't shown us, that's just bad marketing. Nobody is required to give this movie the benefit of the doubt in spite of that - and you can blame the studio for that, not the fans.
I've also heard the argument used for the "gear": Teens would dress to display their individuality...it's realistic!
And as we know, all teens were raised and trained from childhood as ninjas, separated from humanity.
The turtles should have wings under their carapace, cause it's cool. And it's totally just fantasy anyway.
And wolverine claws, cause it's kewl
And a million pouches and straps all over, and glowing eyes, and guns half the size of their bodies. Ninja Turtles to the extreme!
Putting the 90's turtles in this film would look unrealistic to the 2014 world.
...how so? Updated versions would be necessary, of course, but those designs were able to effectively "work" alongside human actors 24 years ago. There's no reason something similar wouldn't be able to now.

im honestly having a hard time understanding where all the hostility the some of the people on the positive side seem to be expressing toward those who aren't on board with this is coming from.I swear there seem to be some people here who actually take offense to the idea of people being against this movies alterations as if we're supposed to except any and all changes made by a movie team without question. The simple truth it that by all appearances it seems this movie has made some substantial changes to characters and concepts that go against the reasons many people (myself included) were ever interested in the turtles in the first place. Then they release a poor trailer NOT ONCE BUT THREE TIMES which does absolutely nothing the try to alleviate worries and concerns people have. I'm still trying to wrap my head around why the most prominent action shot in a tmnt trailer was rapheal totaling out a motor vehicle through sheer force of impact. something that you would not expect form the turtles no matter how (arguably) cool it looks because beyond being man sized they are in no way super. plain and simple this only looks like a turtle movie on the most superficial level. I like to think im a pretty easy going fan I never go into an adaption expecting a copy/paste story but what I do expect is for the the people involved to stay true to the spirit of the characters, their abilities, and their motivations while telling whatever new stories they want to tell. kind of like what nick and idw are doing. telling new stories using old concepts in new ways, creating their own characters and plot twists. staying true to what's come before while doing their own thing and getting well deserved appreciation for it. I can't help but question why it was felt that that so much change was need for this film adaption and the answers that came to mind are far from satisfactory.

If you're referring to my post, you're completely misconstruing what I said. :p
Sadly, short guys can rarely be the heroes in movies.
I do sometimes wish Hugh Jackman (who I really do love his portrayal of Logan) had just happened to be the height for it!
You could be dead right on this. Please do understand I'm making hypothetical speculations and I'm fully open to the possibility that all these will be addressed and well done.
Thank GOD Marvel doesn't come from Hollywood lol. "Wipes sweat from forehead"
All these other superhero films are no more "logical" than this one should be. People are just picking and choosing..
Again, a big key for me is internal consistency. The key reason I favor Avengers climax over Man of Steel is the lack of internal consistency and missed opportunity in MoS that wasn't present in Avengers; at least not so glaring that it contradicted what I felt was established for the title character.
But Michael Bay himself will never get a benefit of the doubt from me! Cuba! Freakin' Cuba! Narcotics cops invade CUBA!!!
But I will give credit. I thought Transformers 1 & 2 were bad and 3 was the best, yet general consensus (Rotten Tomatoes, Meta Critic) love the first and hate 2 and 3. And yet, despite that collective opinion, every one makes more money than the last.
And don't even mention how much cash Resident Evil makes. My brain can't even comprehend that one.
I am obviously referring to the forum. I've experienced it first hand many times. " Wow how dare you criticize the original film to defend this crap". People preach about tolerance but when someone else criticizes something they feel is sacrosanct or untouchable tolerance goes right out the window it seems.
The original has a lot of defenders, but you said originals, plural, so I assumed you meant all three. Some defend Secret of the Ooze and even like it better than the first one. I watched Ooze over Memorial Day weekend.... ehhhh, no. I like the first way better.
I disagree with most complaints on the original too, though. My problems with it are more the portrayal of some of their personalities, particularly Leo and Don.
Btw my friend.. you sure wink a lot lol

I didn't know it was converting to IMAX. I figured Guardians would have 'em locked out because of Disney's partnership with IMAX.

I continued to say that, along with claiming there will only be 'Raph smash' material in the movie, claiming there will only be martial arts in this movie is a reach too. There's elements of 'Raph smash' in trailers (Raph's backhand, and some qualify the hummer scene as 'Raph smash'). There's also elements of martial arts in the trailers (Don fighting the Foot, Splinter wielding a sword, the fact they have martial arts weapons, and some qualify the backflip as 'martial arts').
The truth is, as I said, we can't really say one or the other. We haven't hardly seen ANYTHING fight wise, yet, actually. Some may view parts as 'Raph smash', some may view parts as 'martial arts', but we have hardly seen much of either. The fighting has hardly been showcased to us.
Is that bad marketing? Well, I may be wrong, but if we are going to get a taste of what this movie has for us (in more detail) eventually, I don't see anything wrong with it.
Also, I wasn't saying that we should give anyone the benefit of the doubt about anything. I'm just saying, judging from what we have seen, I'm not sure we can assume one way or the other quite yet. Not that we should automatically assume this film is filled with martial arts.

I think maybe we should all consider taking a break from this movie discussion section of the forum, stop all this bickering and arguing about things we've already bickered and argued about before, until some new still with the turtles is released, or the new trailer, or something really new and BIG worth discussing. I want to be friendly with everybody on this forum, regardless of what parts of the franchise they like. Can we please all just get some perspective on this?
Seriously, do you not realise how many people are avoiding the boards because of this sh*te at the moment? GAH. We're all Turtles fans, some of us like/dislike different things, for the love of god stop turning it into World War 3.
I think maybe we should all consider taking a break from this movie discussion section of the forum, stop all this bickering and arguing about things we've already bickered and argued about before, until some new still with the turtles is released, or the new trailer, or something really new and BIG worth discussing. This constant nagging and debating from both sides about the same things over and over again can get really old, and I think it sort of drains some people.
Some of you need to step back and lay off the manic flame-throwing in the sections.
I really wanted people to treat each other civilly, so that we could ALL enjoy the forums without someone ripping each other's heads off. Unfortunately, it looks like treating some people like ADULTS was a mistake on my part.
