As part of the Summer of Shell, Nick Hotel in Orlando, Florida is featuring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in a poolside stage show. This video shows a portion of that show, taken indoors due to rain, featuring Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello along with April O'Neil showing off som emoves to the TMNT theme song and dancing with kids.
NOTE: this is not Nick-themed only, they also have Retro weekends (read the website)

I absolutely love those mascot suits, they're adorable! Especially the part where they were all doing the synchronized dance. Sure, the video was ultra cheesy...but the kids look so happy and excited, and that's all that matters. I'm sure a lot of kids acted the same when they saw those hideous Coming Out of Their Shells characters in person...One thing that annoyed me a bit was April. The costume is nice but they should've got someone who was just a bit younger, IMO, the actress they chose didn't feel like April at all.
That whole video reminded me of the C.O.O.T.S. tour...they should totally do something like that with these, imagine how cool a live show would be? Theses costumes are so much nicer, too...they someone can move around really greatly, and are not reduced to standing around like the old ones were.

Just take a look at some of this vintage Coming out of their Shells footage... I think the kids reacted about the same to that as they are to this new stuff.
I'd like to see the Nick turtles do a concert more like Coming out of their Shells though, cause it had a lot more to it. Granted, we don't know EVERYTHING they do/show at Summer of Shell, there might be more song and dance numbers.

Ha, that's so cute. I agree that they should have gotten a younger April, but other than that, the whole thing is so cute. Now I really want to go and get a TMNT-themed room.

I'm interested to see/hear the details for the TMNT Retro Weekend activities since the events seem to be catering to the adults ("Not Your Kids' Turtles!"):
http://www.nickhotel.com/tmnt-retro-weekend
If anybody out there is attending, please post up the details. I'm curious to see how they are trying to appeal to the adults especially with these 3 bullet points (outside of the usual Panel discussions and "Meet and Greet"):
*Answer Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle trivia from the original episodes.
*Participate in a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Scavenger Hunt.
*Play Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle poolside games.

bSXgamB9JusI just listened to this while typing out my transfer forms for the substitutes that'll be replacing me next week since I'm going on a business trip. I couldn't concentrate on those. I was too giddy from the overwhelming nostalgia. I couldn't concentrate and laughing along and enjoying Cam's antics.
It's so ironic how Cam is the goofiest one, as I've come across in interviews past, and how he had to play the most calm one. I bet he had a blast voicing Leonardo in "Leonardo Lightens Up" when Leo was hit by Donnie's personality ray (or whatever it was). Anywho, I could definitely see how they had trouble deciding on whether or not to have him or Townsend voice Michelangelo. Cam is still energetic and fun after all these years.
Oh and I love when Berry asked who knocked out Donnie's tooth for the Nick version. We all know that's not really a gap! We know Raph accidentally knocked it out. :P:lol:
I was feeling pretty down today too, but watching this, thinking back to how into the show I was (and the games) at the time just completely cheered me up. Times were simpler. My worries back then, how soon I could finish my homework so I could watch turtles (before it was on CBS and still in syndication and prior to the existence of the Disney Afternoon). So yeah, thanks for sharing this. ^_^

I'm really happy to see these guys do more things together. I was worried that the cameo appearance of the 80's turtles in season 2 was "the end of an era" for them since someone mentioned on Townsend's Facebook that it was a "Passing the Torch" moment. I'm glad that their work on the original program still leaves an impact. I'm also happy that Cam got to return as Leonardo for a new video game. Here's another interview they did at that event.

They also did another reunion at Calgary Expo with Renae Jacobs (April O'Neil).

And here they all are singing the theme song.

No, I think it's "Cool but rude." That's how I always heard it when I listened to it.

Turtles' Happy Together get in the short "Behind the Magic" video! It really proves how something that was originally intended to be just some passing gags can become a symbol for so many and continue to resonate, and learning so gives us our second childhood as is mentioned.

The only reason I have for visiting the Nick hotel is seeing the final resting place of the Nickelodeon time capsule, oh to be in the early 90s again :(
