New movie questions, about tattoo?

I just noticed something tried searching it in the forums, but has anyone noticed that in the new movie it looks like mikey is sporting some tattoos? I saw it in the new book that came out and looked at it for like 5 mins and there is writings on his forearm and a tribal of some sort on his upper arm? has anyone else seen it?

and if this has been beaten like a dead horse already im truly sorry, I did search in the forums for "Mike" "Mikey" "Movie" "Tattoo" and nothing came up

And here, including the bit on his shoulder... (Is this from the book?) Looks like a turtle image on his shoulder, I think that's been mentioned somewhere.

Leo appears to possibly have one in one of the early posters as well, but can't really tell if that stuck around. Little hard to believe he'd have one though as straight laced as he's at least supposed to be.

yep I wanted to make sure I was seeing the same thing so it is a tattoo.. pretty cool, I wonder what it says, maybe laird or eastmans name or who designed it? like they do n Disney films that the crew making it hides their name or their company name or studio number they work in the films...

I thought my eyes where playing tricks on me lol

They're pretty clear it that image. I can't tell from the trailer if the actual model still has them though, will be interesting to see if he does.

I'm pretty sure he's sporting tats on both arms in some of the concept art. I think I still see it in the new posters and the trailer, just not as much ink.

at first I thought the tattoo might be like a branding, maybe if they were lab turtles, but now I think not so much. This isn't really as related I like the colors on the back of their shells, which might tie into the lab testing thing and give reasoning to their color choices later in life. I kinda like a back story to their colors aside from just to tell them apart, because with all the other flair, they could honestly be all red in this movie.. :ohwell:

Browsed through eBay for a min last night, saw one of the 11" figures listed and noticed on the packaging Leo fairly clearly seems to have a tattoo on his right forearm. Maybe similar to what's on Mike's shoulder? (Either that or it's a really odd birth mark... lol)

But yeah, so now this is going to have me trying to see if it exists in the movie or not.

I guess I just don't see anything. His skin is a bit darker in places, but it doesn't look like ink or anything close to the tattoo in the 2D rendering.
