Anyone been to the ice cream truck lately? [Archive]

I wasn't sure where to post this, but toys are merchindise and this is sort of merchindise... Anyways, I was wondering if anybody had noticed that they're selling TMNT ice cream again at the ice cream truck. Its the same as the old stuff but the wrapper has Raphael from the new series (what a great choice!) And the turtle on the ice cream itself is Leo, or at least on the three or so I've bought.

Note: The bubble gum eyes still taste horrible....

I've been looking in stores like TRU and anywhere else I see that carries character ice cream, but I've had no luck...

I haven't had them in years! Not since the last time the ice cream man came to my town, which was probably three years ago. I really liked those...

I'll have to keep a look out, and if I see them anywhere else, I'll let you know.

Now I want the ice cream man back... :)

ha....I wish the ice creem truck would come around this area, to tell the truth I havent seen any ice creem truck around minnesota ever, only ice creem stands in the zoo......mabey I need to go to the zoo again

The only time I ever had a a Ninja Turtle ice cram bar was at the pool when I went to the snack bar and bought one. The thing was so sickeningly sweet, I could barely stand it. Never ate one again.

Somthing's telling me that these ice cream bars are nothing but old backlogged bars from ages ago (how or why they would do this is beyond me) with just new labeling.

I don't think they ever stopped selling those bars in my area. Every single time the ice cream truck comes by, my siblings run out to get what they want. In their excitement, they decide to do something nice and buy me a TMNT ice cream, 'cause they know how much I love TMNT.

Well, I get the ice cream, and get all excited. I unwrap it, and take a taste. THEN I remember that I don't like the taste! :lol: I forget every single time! But if they have new wrappers, I may have to buy one...

heres what i know blew bunny is making the turtles bars this time. so i find it hard for them to re-package the old ones. And heres what saddins me, the sonic the hedge hog pop is also blue bunny and it is made of ice cream like the old mario pop, and thats what i fear, an actual ice cream ninja turtles pop. I prefer the icey kind of pop. anyone remember the slimer pop.......... second best to a turtles pop.....

as for GK's comment about the sailor moon pop is still alive, they repackaged it its now a sabrina the teenage which pop, same exact pop.

Side note: if you cant find a turtle eat a hulk, its green, buty its cherry and fruit punch flavored

You know, that could be why the ice cream man never came back to my street... The last time he was there, he was chased for a block by me, who was already twenty-something and my brother, who was in his late teens... :lol:

~My local grocery store used to sell those Turtle pops in boxes-- and yeah, they had all four back then cuz their signatures were on the sticks. (Um....yes, I still have those....)
Ice cream trucks are a rarity around here, which is kinda odd, really. Small towns with wide streets full of kids should attract them more. Gonna have to keep my ears open.
And check out the freezer section in my little market.

I saw a bunch of Ice Cream vendors on the street selling the new ones when I was in Washington DC in the middle of June. None of them looked like anyone I'd buy food from, though. :dead:

Funny thing, they also had the old ones...which seems impossible. I can't imagine 10 year old ice cream being that great for a person.

Actually, if Blue Bunny is the one making the new TMNT pops, check Wal*Mart. BB used to be the store brand for Wal*Mart, so they may start selling them by the box.

ice cream! (yum yum!) you know, ever since i made that post, the ice cream man hasnt been back.... His daughter drives around with him and she's about nine, so she looked at me kinda funny when i danced around with big smiles :D ordering two Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle ice creams (one for my bro)..... Does anyone really like the taste of those by the way? Everytime i tell someone that the TMNT ice cream is back they're like "oh, that nasty character ice cream?" yeah....

I'm deeply considering buying 2 of those bars (one to keep in the wrapper, the other to take out) and then keeping them in a special freezer that will only be opened once in a while for people to see them, plus it would have a glass front :D

Then I'd wake up... :(

I thought that the old ninja turtles bars were the tastyist think that musical truck had to offer (aside from slimer) People are probably like ewwww yuck he likes them?!?!? but i do, As for actual ice cream bars, yuck, but ill eat umm and like hem if they are turtles.

Like Kali said, I don't think they ever stopped selling them here (Dallas) but I have to say, I haven't seen an ice cream truck here for at least 2 or 3 yrs. This reminds me, a couple of months ago I found a wrapper from one of the old TMNT ice cream bars in the bushes of my grandmothers house! It was really old, and the color was almost completely faded out. I wonder what I ever did with that....
