the more i see, the more hyped i get. the changes they made to the RAPH/HUVMEE moment especially - leaps and bounds better. leads me to think, that they put in the original moment, which was very stiff upon impact as a place holder until they finished the actual scene.

I'm always annoyed by vertical videos on Youtube, but these looked super cool!

I wish the individual weapons could have had their own sound at the end, instead of the same standard "sword/blade" sound. It didn't really fit with some.

I LOVED the subtle telescoping bo animation on Donnie's closer, though. Way cool detail.

Worth nothing: an empty 20' shipping crate weighs 4,850 lbs. And an empty 40' one weighs 8,380 lbs. This is the same staff that was seen launching an armoured military vehicle into the air, and a lot of folks were chalking that up to the vehicle hitting a rock, or having a certain momentum that helped propel it upward. But this would suggest that, actually no, the staff is just capable of easily launching several thousand pounds of weight from a stationary position.

Kinda curious to see if it's explained how exactly his staff can do that. Clearly it's pretty souped up, but... that seems like a lot of weight for a small metal stick to be able to move the way this does. (Though I admit I'm not an expert.)

Donatello's "badass" line caught me way off guard by so much, it was way too awesome. It wasn't the fact that a turtle sweared, it was that Donatello sweared, and it didn't even sound corny or forced. Pure awesomeness.

The Transformers isn't Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and yeah they might be "made by the same explosionphile" or whatever, but I was still caught off caurd to hear Donny say it. But I mean if I went in with a "this is going to be exactly like Transformers" attitude then I could see why you wouldn't be surprised, and I wouldn't even blame you given Bay's history.

They're designed to be played on vertical monitors in movie theaters. The vertical orientation looks similar to traditional print one-sheets.

Personally, I'm not a huge fan. I'll take a Struzan poster over a super-cropped trailer any day of the week.

That shot of them grabbing their weapons is proof that they have more than one set, Donnie in particular has several bo staffs to choose from, but I'm betting the retractable one is a personal fav of his being the resident techie.

See, if they're going to embrace the sci-fi/alien tech element, I'm actually fine with that. I'd rather they introduce it later on in a sequel or something, but it's always been present and I have no issues with them using it.

It's like they wanted "gritty realism" as a design style, but also wanted slick, crazy sci-fi technology, and didn't much care if those things "fit together" all that well.

Well the skateboard and hologram-phone looks like it is made from old junk from the trash so it kinda has a theme going for it. As long as they have a point to them using the old remains of society's goods will I be totally ok with the cloths and tech on Donnie. If they don't, ya it was just a ploy to make it look gritty and more so called realistic.

You know what, I work in a technological development lab, and the nerds/geeks/engineers swear up a storm. All of them except for one, but I think it's more due to the fact he's a hard core Catholic from Columbia. So, just saying, the stereotyping of geeks as being soft spoken and complete pacifists is just that, a typical stereo type.

And even then, the one day the Columbian was testing out a new design, and the design literally blew up a diode in his hand, he still swore "Puta". So, geeks and nerds do swear, quite frequently. Out of all of the Turtles, the one I seeing swearing the least would actually be Leonardo. The whole "setting an example, Bushito code, ethnic code" and all of that seems to make Leo more refined than his brothers.

Unfortunately they cut out the shot of Mikey punching a dude in the face, and maybe it's just me but Raph slamming into he hummer doesn't look anywhere near as dynamic, like they used the footage from the original render or something.

it kind of bothers me when they do that...simply because you know that one of them is the real line of dialouge, and the other is just wedged in for the trailer - I know its such a minor detail, but hearing the 'wrong' line bothers me. :lol:
