According Jonathan Liebesman and Brad Fuller, they want some more familiar characters in the sequel http://www.comicbookmovie.com/fansites/notyetamovie/news/?a=104330 i guess this means if TMNT does good at the box office there will be a sequel, and it looks like Jonathan Liebesman is looking foward to it! :D

So far Casey Jones and Bebop and Rocksteady are gonna be in the sequels.

Bebop and Rocksteady would be INSANE with this movie's designs.
RatKing would be a neat one too.

I can easily see Bebop and Rocksteady "working" with the designs of this movie. Visually, at least.
As far as characterizing them goes, though, they'll probably have the "Stupid" dialed up to 11, to the point where Tokkah and Rahzar seem intelligent by comparison. But I'm sure they'd look spiffy.

I want a movie with Baxter and mousers. I don't think a sequel is necessarily a definite thing though.

He'll yeah I was gonna say Def bebop and rocksteady and they need to cast guys that sound like the 87 cartoon, we need a krang if he's not in it ... Notice no one mentioned him... And 100% need mousers

I never liked the mousers for the same reason I didn't understand 'chuckie'...both are only two feet tall; can't we just 'ninja kick the damn rabbit' and be on our way. The mousers may have numbers, but still, I never understood why they were a threat.
But yes to bebop and rocksteady. I could see them going the 'stupid' route, but that's what might make them even more dangerous. Their antics might even force the Turtles to expose themselves...I'm digging it.

The Rat King would be good for a sequel, but don't know if he could be a main villain, but one of a couple.
Also Leatherhead would be a good character to bring into the franchise.

The Rat King would be pretty awesome, it would be cool to see Baxter and Leather Head too, i think a more ferocious version of the Mousers would be sick! :D but i just hope it makes enough for a sequel! :) maybe we'll see Krang in TMNT 3! if we get a trilogy :D

Utroms and Triceratons.
This is what I am hoping for in a sequel, maybe 3rd-4th movie if it goes that far. Fugitoid would have to be involved too

I'd like to see Casey Jones and new mutants to serve Shredder... ninja style.
And later sequels... how about Slash?

Y'know, people are mentioning Rat King but saying they aren't sure of him as the main villain.
What if you just threw a bit more into the mix here? What if you essentially had a build up for pretty much a war between Shredder backed Baxter & Mousers vs the Rat King and rather than a direct antagonist towards the turtles, our guys were basically caught in the middle of it with Splinter as the catalyst to get them mixed up in it?

Wasn't William Fichtner in The Lone Ranger, and wasn't some of the cast signed on to do 3 movies. And weren't people at one time so sure Johnny Depp was a BO smash? Just saying.

I think this movie is going to bomb. I really don't want it too, but I just can't see this being an office box success.

I don't think it will make huge money but I do think there will be a sequel out of obligation. They talked too big a game and put way too much work into defending all of their choices to back down. Same with G.I. Joe; movie didn't do so hot, but it was successful enough to get a sequel made, even if nobody wanted it.
I think we'll get a second one. Maybe not a third one.

They're talking about a third GI Joe already. Don't count Hollywood out!
I expect at least a trilogy from the new TMNT myself, but it will largely depend on the overseas success.

Eh, they lost me with that series when they killed the main character off (Duke) and brought The Rock in to "save" the franchise. Stupid Channing Tatum. "Waaah, I don't wanna be in a movie that glamorizes war! Just kill my guy off." They literally could have cast anyone else, and avoided all the nonsense, but then "Magic Mike" made a ton of money. I hate Hollywood.

Magic Mike makes me even more confused why they'd keep him killed off and not just written out or captured or some way of keeping Duke an option for another actor or if Tatum changed his tune later. It was really weird to off him.
But back on topic, I'm going to add in, just because I've really liked her character thus far, I wouldn't mind seeing Alopex as the more crafty addition to Shredder's side alongside Bebop and Rocksteady.
For a movie, she could stay straight villain, no need to get complicated in a series that apparently wants to be 90 minute movies.
......I may also say that out of slight sadism in making the FX guys have to render another full mutant, but now with the PITA of having to deal with fur.

I hate Hollywood.Nah, I don't like it when they recast characters. I would rather have a new character than the same character played by a different actor. Besides Duke was meant to die in the original G.I. Joe film anyway. What I don't get though is why they decided to get rid of Scarlett, Destro, and the Baroness.

Hey, when Snakeweed first came about, and I think it was Mikey who exclaimed, "he turned into, a weed?" Looking confused, I just assumed he turned into one because he was smoking some refer in his truck before he came out.
Hey, just thought of something. This is not so much as a new character, just an alter ego of a character we already got. In the 2007 movie, I absolutely loved the whole Nightwatcher story line. I would so love to see something like that in live action! It's one of the few times when one of the Turtle's is in clothing, and actually looks badass in it!
I'd also like Mr. Braunze, Carter, War, Cha Ocho, Starlee, Aramzedo, Kerma, and Spy-Roach.

How about Ace Duck in his fetish gear? would fit in with the "zany" feel of the movie. Bay could have all the gay jokes he wanted..
I'd love to see Bebop and Rocksteady, done right, don't get me wrong. I just don't want to see them in this version. Some things are sacred.
I'm afraid we'll get something terrible like this:

Nick's take on them is fine, relatively classic in terms of their faces, if nothing else. If anything, we'd have alarmingly humanoid versions from PD, which would be quite unsettling.

Yeah, Hun would be a good character to bring in the sequels. It would be interesting to see the big screen version of the Purple Dragons.

I wouldn't be surprised at all. Exactly why they should steer clear.
I'm betting we'd get a version of the "twins" from TF2.
I do love the Nick series, I think they've done a fantastic job of melding and fusing the various versions into something new. I think the writing is great, the direction is great. I'm just not sold on the new R&B designs.
