Even Transformers: Age Of Extinction got 6.3, so I guess that's pretty bad... :ohwell:

Bit of a shame they give it 6.0 but at least it wasn't under 5.0.

IGN do give strange scores even for the 2K12 shows. They give The Kraang Conspiracy an 8.6 and it wasn't even a good episode and they give The Lonely Mutation of Baxter Stockman an 8.0 which was a great episode.

Yeah. I think I'll like the new movie. Judging by the way I like movies, my overall taste, I think I'll give this new movie a 7.0+ or more.

I agree.

I remember when i was reading the review for Man of Steel and they gave it 9 because Superman was too serious which was quiet dumb.

It was dumb that they had a complaint about a film that they gave a near-perfect score? I think a 9 sounds incredibly generous, myself.

It sounds like the reviewer is down scoring the movie based on the turtles being large and stronger than other iterations. I saw the movie and I would give it 7.5

9 is still a good score.

They could've mention other reasons to why this movie got this score. It could be a scene that they didn't like or the dialogue didn't make sense but to say Superman was too serious is silly.

im confused? are you for or against the 9? did you think it should be higer or lower?

to be fair Superman isnt all the serious as they made him out to be in this movie

this is just a review about a person'a opinion about the movie. But to be fair I say that to the others on this thread complaining about the review or saying its horrible. Seriously it's just your opinion also and I really don't care about yours either. I'll make my own review of the movie and not let you or IGN make an ultimatum for me.

I don't think people understand what a "review" actually is, it surprises me at the sheer stupidity of some people.

6 seems low. I'd put it at around 7.5 going by the trailers. but maybe it does kind of suck. We'll see.

A 6 seems a little harsh, but since I never took IGN's word for it why start now.

Right, because IGN was the only site to give Mass Effect 3 a high score.

Nice try there buddy. I'm not talking about that particular instance, I just used that as an example...

A 6 isn't that bad. This means the basic plot is coherent but doesn't go above and beyond with complications. So it is a linear experience. The characterizations are just mere stereotypes. Definitely, good enough. However this is IGN. The rating from rotten tomatoes is more important to me because the rating is determined by the average score of multiple critics.

A 6/10 isn't bad. I expected a lot lower.

I wouldn't go that far. They're pretty legit in terms of game reviews, except CoD of course. :P But as far as movie reviews, yeah. They're not the best. Especially since they no doubt chose someone who doesn't know the first thing about TMNT to review the movie.

Filespit

6/10 is not a bad score, but it looks bad because of the 10-scale they use. Had it been a 5-scale it would've been 3/5, and suddenly it doesn't look so bad. Based on what the reviewer wrote though, I think he could've been a bit more generous with his score.

The True Shredder

Whose to say that this wasn't a generous score? You weren't the only one to grow up with TMNT.

The goal of reviewing is to express the writer's feelings on the movies, not cater to yours.

And yet that's exactly what IGN does with a lot of their game reviews.

I read the review, and I felt like he would have given it a higher score. He listed alot of positives of the movie and a couple of negatives. To me, I think he should have gave the movie 6.5 or 7
