I would say DBZ:Battle of Gods. Even though it came out last year I still count it this year because of the English Dub got released this year. I cannot stop watching this movie. It gets me pumped up because it incorporated new style of Art to nostalgic storytelling. Loved everything about this movie. 10/10 for me!
Godzilla is my second choice as Hollywood knew they messed up with that other Godzilla and actually learned from it. They incorporated new with old and I got to say it was well done. I won't go much into detail but for me I am actually looking forward to the sequel than I potentially might see in the next film for me. Overall a 9/10 for Godzilla movie.
TMNT 2014....what can I say about this movie...nothing much. The story is bland and the characters are...meh. I'm not going to go into detail because of the rants I am sure to get.
Overall 3/10....meh
Transformers 4.....Didn't see it and I don't care to see it. I don't have a 10 yr. Old mindset. I was smart and stopped at #2. I gave the movie series a chance at least. 2/10
So I have it DBZ:BATTLE Of GODS #1 , Godzilla 2014 #2 ,TMNT 2014 #3 and Transformers 4 a fitting #4 What about you?

Had to vote Godzilla, but I've not seen TF4 or DBZ. Was never into Dragon Ball series. I'll probably see TF4 at some point to see what they did with it. I liked half of Transformers, didn't like TF2, felt like they finally got it right with 3, so maybe I'll like 4 okay. Probably a Netflix for me, though.

Eek, I can't think of anything that I have seen this year. I have been so disappointed in the movies this year. The only one that really truly stood out for me has been Captain America 2. GOTG was fantastic, but even that had a plot and a villain that was like, meh.

The new RoboCop was better then all of them.

Forgot that one and now that I think about it there was the new Planet of the Apes movie too. Guess it was a good year for if you wanted to see your favorite "Old" Franchise back on the big screen.

Godzilla was Godawful. The main character, just randomly keeps going to where Muto is going the whole movie and Muto just happens to be going to our main character's home city.
Robocop, was the most boring action movie I think I've ever seen. They took everything good from the original, and removed it.
I have never, and will never see anything that has to do w/ DBZ.
Transformers wasn't that bad, I just got a little bored because it's like how many more times do we have to see the damn transformers get into fights on earth. I actually prefer that they use humans to drive the movies, if it was just the transformers I would never see it.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is the best movie I've seen all year. There isn't one second of that movie where the apes don't look real. Andy Serkis should be nominated for an oscar for his performance.
TMNT was good enough for me. The Turtles are my absolute favorite form of entertainment. I was beyond satisfied with the movie.

LOL @ your Godzilla reaction
Robo was pretty uninspired action wise, but they were never trying to be the original. They played it pretty straight but certainly the best movie since the original 87 film. I can say the same for TMNT so its a close race for me, but I just prefer RoboCop.

The new RoboCop was better then all of them.
I like that movie (eventhough most purists love the original and bashed the hell out of the reboot), but overall I gotta say TMNT 2014 won me this year.

Although it had problems story and pacing wise, Godzilla deserves an honorable mention. 8/10.

Obviously DBZ Battle of Gods but in terms of overall fun, I had a much better experience with TMNT even though it's not a very well-made film.

Dragonball wins as far as the possible choices of course.
TMNT is so dull and boring and lazy that it doesn't even care. Transfomers is too long, too noisy and just as lackluster, Godzilla suffers a fate that it's just got a lot of pacing issues that takes you out of the film.
Looks like the only thing floydbanks7 and I have been agreeing on is the fact that Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is incredible. Next to Boyhood, it's my second favorite movie this year.

i didn't like Godzilla AT ALL, its funny how trailers are more awesome than the actual film.. Godzilla was a true let down, I watched pacific rim for the first time after watching the recent Godzilla and Godzilla was even more depressing.. not like Rim is a classic or anything but far FAR more entertaining then that crappy lizard who moves like Great Khali [do NOT look up great khali, trust me on this]..
I voted for turles despite not seeing the latest transformers

Can't say that I am surprised by first place...after all I did post on a TMNT website. I guess I shouldn't be surprised at Godzilla being a close second. After all for what little screen time Godzilla got he didn't disappoint. Not surprised that Transformers is dead last. DBZ:Battle is at at least respected by people who have seen it .To the others that it is another DBZ thing and they simply write it off because of it I advise you to at least watch it before judging it. You may be surprised at how good the movie is...I'm just saiyan! xDDDDDD

Godzilla's in first place now with my vote.:)

Then your vote is Planet of the Apes, not TMNT...

Yes? DotPotA isn't an option to vote on, if it was, I would have voted on it.

mmmhmm? That was added after I voted, and also, if you actually read my post, I did say it's the best movie of the year so............what are we talking about?

The restrictions of this board don't allow options to be added to polls once they are made public, so by that, it was already there.
Plus I did read your post, I simply posted what the option states.

Ugh why?? Just curious.
Although, I think Battle of Gods could have been better.

We all think all movies can be better xD. To me the DBZ Fanbase is not a pickys the TMNT Fanbase. Its probably because its been pretty consistent. The only part where people disagree is on whether new or pre existing stuff is Canon or Noncanon and of course Power lvls. Can't forget about that.

Because the animation was not appealing to me, and it just sounds dumb. I know a lot of people love it, so I'm not going to bash it. But for me, it's not something I wanted to get into. I'd rather just stick w/ TMNT, Deadpool, Batman, Superman, Gambit, and Wolverine.

Sorry, I wasn't trying to get an attitude, I remember why I didn't vote on Apes as "other" because I had already voted, then decided to comment after Apes was brought up, and now it was in the discussion.

If I had to vote based on critical analysis, Godzilla. Based on entertainment/enjoyment, TMNT.
