What easter eggs did you all notice? I started realizing how much effort went into the easter eggs about halfway through, so I'm assuming I missed quite a lot of them.
1. The pizza cutting scene with a slice landing on splinters head. Shame they didnt have mikey shouting "IT SLICES...IT DICES..."
2. Mikey mentioning raph being the hype man in their christmas album
3. Shredder has the foot symbol from the 2k3 cartoon on his chest armor
4. Comments about batman/superman (Original comic was designed to poke fun at other comics)
5. Pizza hut pizza box (old TMNT games used pizza hut)
6. Crush soda (more product placement than easter egg) - crush is currently doing a TMNT promo, I saw the can promos like 2 months ago so this was funny to me
7. "Tonight I dine on turtle soup"
8. April faints when meeting everyone for the first time (As always)
not sure if you can count the TCRI / Mutigen canister being an easter egg or not, I don't think they even said what TCRI stood for, so maybe? Also ive heard baxter was mentioned, but I didn't catch that, where was that?
Anyone notice anything else?

Yeah when I saw 2k3 Foot symbol on Shredder's chest armor, I was like :o They referenced it!!! Eventhough it's OT heavy material, 2k3 was in it eventhough a tiny bit.
About Baxter, I think I saw him when Sacks was talking to the other scientists about extracting the turtles blood. He's a black guy in a white lab coat.

This is one of the things I loved about this movie. I really think the writers sat down and looked at all incarnations of the Turtles and gave us bits and pieces for older fans to remember.
I loved the pizza slice scene....and the turtle soup reference.....and the fact that the origin is similar to IDW.
My contribution......the Ninjitsu book Splinter learns from has "Eastman" on it

I did love easter eggs! The ones I picked out were:
-Nice nod to Usagi Yojimbo
-It said Eastman & Laird on the Ninjitsu training book
-Classic theme song for the horn of the turtle van
-Mikey sings "Happy Together" by The Turtles
and probably some others that I didn't see :tgrin:

You also hear the classic theme when Donnie hacks April's computer.

Too bad Splinter didn't do the "I made a funny!" line.
Maybe for the sequel?

Yeah I saw all these I loved all these throw backs to the series they were all. One east egg (If you can call it that) that was spoiled for me was the turtles saying Cowabunga, they spoiled this in the trailers.

where was the nod to Usagi?
Sacks said to the turtles when revealing his master plan that they almost went with rabbits.

Yeah, I actually laughed at that one, and everyone was turning to me. I told them it was an inside joke.

The goggles Donnie wears are similar to the ones Donnie has worn in a couple if episodes of season two.
Physical structure of the Turtles is similar to nick show.

Huh? I find their physical structure more in line with the 2k3 toon than anything else. The large builds, the two toes facing forwards...
But anyways, you think that line about Batman might be a jab that Ben Affleck is playing Batman now, and he also played DareDevil, which the Turtles are a parody of.

Well maybe a bit of the 2003 and the Nick version. I mean in the 2003 they all had roughly the same body build. In the nick version they all have different characteristics. Such as Donnie being the tallest and scrawniest build. Raph being the one with the bulkiest and so on.

That didn't start with Nick toon though, the 2007 movie started that, with making Raph slightly bigger, giving Mikey blue eyes......

they were bulletproof and in the 3rd movie they claimed to be bulletproof ;)... ok i doubt that one is a true nod but most of mine were mentioned

I did the same exact thing. It was just too much to elaborate on so I just said I thought it was funny. But I did like the nod. Thought it quite ingenious. If only they had put that much time and effort into the actual script.

the fact that the last scene was like the first movie, fight on a roof and shredder falling,

Haven't seen anyone mention Raph's eyepatch. It's show in several scenes of the turtle tots playing bock (or whatever it was called)..

- The "New Turbo Ginsu" scene reference when they're kids was cool.
- I also laughed at the rabbit line and everyone was like, "What the?"
- The old theme song when they honk the horn was a simple, but fun touch.
- Kevin Eastman was in the movie.
- The TCRI canister seemed ominous...
- I'm reaching for this one, but in the first TMNT film Mikey is watching the news and exclaims, "She's a fox!" in regards to April's looks. Anyone think Megan Fox being casted may have been a joke on that? Again, I'm reaching. haha
- In the elevator scene, Leonardo pantomimes crashing two cymbals together as they all beatbox. This may or may not be a reference to Mikey scaring him with the cymbals in the antique shop scene in the first movie.
- The pillow case that Raph used to cover April's head had a turtle face drawn on it and it looked an awful lot like the original cartoon turtles, or at least someone trying to draw a turtle in that style. I don't know if that would be considered an easter egg though.
That's all I've got.

Pizza Hut box and Crush soda line were deliberate product placement, obviously. As for the Easter Eggs, I caught the rabbit line, the classic theme song, and the ninjitsu book, but totally missed the 2k3 foot symbol on Shredder. Have to look for this on my second viewing.

One of April's colleagues is named McNaughton likely referencing Jim McNaughton who was the reporter covering the incident at TCRI in the Mirage comics. It seemed kind of weird that they would mine something that obscure unless Eastman recommended it.

I might not like the movie but I'll give credit where credit is due.
Raph is the first Turtle to make contact with April like the original movie.
April is saved by the Turtles in the subway
Mikey has the hots for April and openly flirts with her like he did all the way to the 2nd time around.
April's apartment complex is called the 2nd time around
Kid Raph has an eye patch over his right eye a universal constant it seems?
Raph throwing a bag over a humans face but I'm stretching this one.
Shredder has the Foot Clan symbol from 2k3
The orgin is similar to IDW
Usagi Yojimbo was mentioned as a joke
The Turtles don't finish off Shredder seems to be a constant in these movies?
April fainting granted she and IDW April are the only one's not freaked out by Splinter.

In the flashback scene, Leo is slicing pizza ( like the 1990 movie) and it falls on Splinter's head (like the 1990 movie)
But that's more of a reference, than easter egg.

When we see April's video of the baby turtles, Mikey's name is spelled "Michaelangelo," which is an error Eastman and Laird made in the first comic book. Without spellcheck or any research, they thought it was just spelled "Michael" and "Angelo".

The tradition of thier first lair getting trashed early on in nearly every version of TMNT? (minus Nick)

Oh, I don't know if this is an easter egg, or just a coincidence, but in the 2007 movie when the Turtles were fighting at the end, Raph calls out to Donny to batter up, and Donny offers his staff and Raph grabs onto it, and then Donny whips it and hurls Raph through the air to knock down some monsters. In this movie, Donny does the same, only this time, Raph hits a hummer!

I could be Kind of reaching here But the book that splinter Found for Ninjutsu, Might have been the Abridged Version of Ninjutsu an Easter egg from the first movie when raph says the foot use and Abridged Version of Fighting.

I don't think anyone mentioned this one. But when Raph pulls April from the fire escape he uses the chain with what I think I saw was a weight on the end. Just like he used as nightwatcher in 2007 movie. At first I thought it was something mikey had but Raphael is the one who said "I got her" and it's something he could of kept on him if mikey had the combo like he does in the nick show I think we would of seen it more.

I laughed at the rabbit line, too! Don't think anyone else in the theater got it, though. And it totally slipped my mind who the band was that did "Happy Together", LOL! That scene just became ten times funnier, IMHO. Mikey's off-key singing and all....
I also noticed the Foot symbol on the armor- on my second watch-through. And did anyone think Donnie's line about it sounding ridiculous when April said Ninja Mutant Turtle Teenagers might have been a jab at their own title? It's as close to a fourth-wall break as I can come up with. (Because they never call themselves that except in the OT.)

A reference that I noticed that I don't think was brought up before is shredder getting the turtles to relinquish their weapons. This happened in the lair after splinter got beat up, shredder did the same thing in the first movie.
