About the The Eye of Sarnath miniseries, I swear watching the whole thing on one commercial VHS. Does anyone know if it existed?

I think it did.but can't be for sure. As it has been so long.

This is the back of the VHS case...it says it's almost 100 minutes...which would be the whole arc...I'd assume.

Judging a video by its cover:

Giant April O'Neil tries to eat the Ninja Turtles.

This arc was pretty interesting but turned out to be pointless. Shredder gets the 3 fragments and then loses them because... they blow up. Lame ending to an arc.

I wonder if the writers had planned on writing more arcs like this one. Notice that after this one, we didn't get anymore arcs except for the last 3 episodes of season 3 until the red sky seasons.

The Archie comics actually continued that arc, and put an unique twist on it, and led to the 'Black Hole Trilogy'.

I really liked this arc. Just a fun, goofy arc that as a kid I can remember really enjoying. Loved the whole tiny turtles bit... I actually own the original painting for the front cover of the VHS collection as well that can be seen HERE (http://www.comicartfans.com/gallerypiece.asp?piece=1008159)

I quite liked the arc too, other than the anticlimactic ending. Of course, how could it have turned out differently without say, a huge destructive battle or something.

Season two was really a true "season". Seasons 3-7 were, for the most part, just a whole bunch of stand alone episodes. Seasons 8-10 were a little bit more true seasons.

Black Hole Trilogy?

A short arc in the Archie comics where the Turtles and Ninjara go to space and have some adventures, including, yes, a black hole. It started when they encountered the real "Sarnath", who was that guy you've just seen.

Eh, the Sarnath arc is just a big MacGuffin hunt, but at least "It Came from Beneath the Sewers" was completely insane (in a good way), and I'm entertained by Baxter Stockman in his best Renfield mode, capped off with some actual competent villainy. There are also a lot of cute moments scattered throghout.

Sounds fun, I'll have to read it sometime. :) I wonder if "Sarnath" wasn't too happy to hear about what happened to his ship...
