Ok, you know how the first episode of TMNT had the turtles with like a verticle line drawn down the center of their faces? Same with Ep 4 (hotrodding teenagers from dimension x), and all the clips from the intro? Well im lookin for which episodes the intro clips pertain to. I know some of the intro was just animated purely for an intro, but other segments from it were actually taken from episodes (at least im pretty sure i remember this). Im also looking for any other episodes that had the higher quality of animation with all the detail on the turtles and shadows, all the shine marks on shredders mask, and of course the lines on the turtles faces etc.
Lastly, can anyone tell me at what point the voice for leonardo went from deep and hard-edge sounding to all goofy and hi-pitched? Same with rocksteady! (think they were voiced by same guy) In the first few ep's and the pilot, hes all badass sounding. Then he turns to a total goon, whats up with that. Who did the original cool sounding voices for those guys?
-Thanks!

All the changes happened after the first season, some gradually. First season was animated by Japanese company, thats why it's much better animated than the rest. If you want more episodes with good animation, I suggest season 8. It's the second best animated season.

Was that when they changed the character designs to more movie style? I liked that, it was cool.

Yeah, they changed the animation totally. The intro had clips from the movie.

Finally, someone who agrees with me. Everyone back at Mikey's just loved that crappy intro.

The 2nd intro was kind of catchy but I didn't like it. It was really stupid showing footage from the 1st movie. Personally, I never even noticed that the animation changed after the 1st season. I just don't pick up those things I guess.

Now when you say first season, you mean the 18 episodes after the first week pilot? The "pilot" was a 5 episode series aired for one week, which had the best animation. And random episodes in season 2 have the facial lines and grittier style you say?
And what about the intro clips? Im so sure i specifically remember seeing the ep with mikey using his chucks to deflect various objects thrown at him. Also the scene where leo is introduced pointing his sword foward. And finally the scene where the turtles stand outside of a rising technodrome in the city. Those were all clips in the intro, and part of actual episodes were they not?
And what about the voice thing, when did leo go from manly to kiddy?

No footage from the first 2 TMNT themes were actually from the shows. However, the 3rd and final intro was all scenes from the 8th season and 1st movie.

First season is the 5 part mini series. 18 episodes made after that are animated by murakami/wolf[I think] and are considered 2nd season. Basicly it changed from a action adventure to regular children's toon, like He-man with much more comedy elements. Animation for season 2 was good, but far from the quality of the first season.
Im not entirely sure about Leo's voice thing, I think it changed gradually after first season.

The pilot was done by Toei animation. The fine people that brought us all series of Dragonball, Sailor Moon, Digimon, and several other animes and live action shows.
