So my first figure arrived today. I am officially a collector :D

I was sooo envy of my friend when I was a kid for having the Foot Soldier and I never did. So he was automatically chosen as a first pic for my collection. I constantly played with his figure when I was over at his place but now I have my own. Better late than never right?

Not the best pic but not much to show yet as my collection is still in it's infancy.

Now my second purchase will be Bebop as he was my first ever figure back in the day. I can still remember vividly my mother buying him for me. But if I can't find one I like and something else pops up I might change my TMNT schedule :tgrin:

Hmmm...can you have a collection with just one item in it? I'd say at the minimum two pieces will work. :) So get working on that Bebop if you really want to be one us!

Great start! I just started collecting as well. It's a wonderful link to childhood and something I can share with my son when he's old enough. Happy hunting!

Thank you guys for all the replies and encouraging words. Means a lot to me!

No Bebop yet. I find it hard to find figures on ebay that I like :/ Anyway, I was hoping to have a Mikey by now but it seems to not be happening but I did find a Splinter! So "just" 8 more 10 backs to go for my first goal.

I was going to collect straight 85s but I guess Splinter will do with a 90 sub :) Now where is my Bebop!? :tlol:

Excellent - I agree, ebay can be a bit scary, especially with all the fakes out there. Looks like you're off to a great start though. :tthumbsu:

I do look at some of the newer stuff out there but I do not have the same connection to it as the vintage stuff.. I did pick me up the new movie Raph though :tgrin:

Yes, will probably be doing my TMNT collection in AFA. I guess there will be pieces I will need to send in myself as eBay isn't really flooded with them. Like Sgt Bananas for exampel, is a figure I really want as he was one of my favorite toys as a kid and I do not see myself finding a graded on eBay soon :) But I do like to purchase graded as it saves me the fuss to send it in myself and I know what grades I get.

7 to go!

Got a UKG one this time. Might send him in and be re-graded by AFA after the holidays. I had a AFA graded on my radar but this one being a pop up display I went for this one. And with a 90 sub on the card I felt like it was worth it :)

Still no Bebop :tsad:
