I knew Power Rangers was airing on ABC Family. They have a new one on there with a yellow guy and a blue girl. It's weird. Anywho, I actually wanna check this out.

Too bad, I'm quite certain I don't get that channel. Those would be the only two episodes of Power Rangers I would willingly watch.
This sounds interesting. Probably something I'll have to see once and never again, just like The Next Mutation...

So, there's still time to write a letter to them begging them to show something else instead?

So when does TNM start airing on ABC family?

Never at this point. He's just pointing out that ABC Family will be airing the Power Rangers: in Space episodes featuring the Ninja Turtles. An epic moment in pop-culture history I'd say.
Sadly ABC Family will probably never air any Saban live-action series OTHER than Power Rangers. Which means no Masked Rider, no VR Troopers, no Beatle Borgs (not that I care), no Mystic Knights of Tyranog, and of course NO Ninja Turtles: The Next Mutation. It's a real shame though, because the only rement of that series is that one VHS that has far too many time cuts which are incredibly poorly done. It's even less watchable than the original product. It is interesting to hear the Ocean group's cast for the Ninja Turtles though. Kirby Morrow as Michaelangelo... I would have picked Scott McNeil for him or Raph actually, but Morrow did a great job for what it's worth.

Next Mutation is better-off erased from history.

Come now, it wasn't THAT bad.

Well It was better than seasons 9 and 10 of the old cartoon and, I liked Dragon Lord and the TMNT's costumes, but EVERYTHING ELSE SUCKED about that show! The stories were lame! Venus was AWFUL! NO April or Casey! That dumb motorcycle! Bad dialouge! UUGGHH!
Yes even I, who loves the show, will admit that it had several things that were simply wrong.
Of course, I'll be sitting right there to see the episodes. :D

Hmmm... I've never actually seen these episodes of this crossover, but I must say, my curiosity is getting the better of me. I think I only watched two episodes of TNM, and none of that incarnation of the Power Rangers... darn it. Now I have to set my tape. I'll never get up that early. :) I do remember not being totally thrilled with TNM, but hey, I still wanna see what this is about.

It is a must see!
The never ending debate of: who's better TMNT (obviously we think they're better) or the Power Rangers?
It's awesome stuff, a bit corny, but awesome!

first I loved Next Mutation
Second this ep is a must see, simply because its so messed up, and it has some lines that are rather funny delivered ny the TMNT
Third, I would kill to Have Mystic knight put back on
Forth- If they had teh budget, the ep should have been the Turtles being controled, pull the Rangers into the sewer and just have the guys humiliate them for half an hour while teh ranger girls freak out.
Fifth- Bone steel should have been on the ep for teh soul reason of him being that damn cool

Ah, so I see that ABC Family is airing the crossover again. I thought it was okay, and it did have a few funny moments. Definitely worth seeing at least once.

As a Turtles and Power Rangers fan it was cool to see a crossover, even though it was disappointing in places. The promos for it implied that the Power Rangers would actually fight the Ninja Turtles but that doesn't really happen. It was also completely ridiculous having the Turtles beating the Power Rangers so easily when they are on the Astro Megaship. It has the ever annoying Venus although thankfully she doesn't steal the entire episode for herself like in The Next Mutation.
On the plus side the actual action scenes with the Ninja Turtles are much better then that in the Next Mutation (remember all those cheap sound effects), you actually get to see the Turtles doing more faster paced stuff in the crossover which is nice and of course seeing the rangers and Turtles working together was cool too. Anyway better not spoil it too much for those who haven't seen it yet.

Weirdest part of the show was watching the TMNT beat the crap out of that monster in under a minute. It takes the Rangers a whole yep yet the turtles did in before the rangers could ven draw their weapons.
Either the monster was a total wuss, the turtles are that good, or the rangers aren't tring hard enough

watching it as we speak and I have something I need to say before I forget
The opening is way weird
Venus- Its astromama the Prinsess of Evil
Later
Raph- Hello the power Rangers are pretnd, Make believe
So teh bad guys are real and the heros are fake? Kind of a big cotradiction

Astronema and Dark Spectre are known throughout the galaxy, while up until 3 episodes ago... the earth-based Power Rangers were only known from Angel Grove. That's a pretty far distance from the sewers of NY.
Anyway... the Turbo Ranger's command center was destroyed by Divatox, and Zordon was captured by Dark Spectre on his home planet... so 4 of the 5 Rangers (now powerless) hijacked a space shuttle to head there, but were intercepted by the Megavoyager. One thing led to another, and they were given new morphers by Andros, the sole space ranger (at this point). SO... they are still pretty new to their new powers. It's only the 4th episode, and they didn't even get their powers til the tail end of episode 2.
Besides.. the whole monster fight was probably just a ploy created by Astronema.
:D
As for the action sequence... I know Saban made the Next Mutation, but does anyone know who did the choreography and stunts? Alpha Stunts, who has been doing the PR stunts since season 4, actually did stunt work on the 3rd TMNT movie... but I'm not sure if they were involved in the show.
