Definitely Eastman.
What happened to him? He had a difficult choice to make between writing dialog for some cartoon reptiles, or staying home and bagging a porn star/model. God Bless 'im. :D

The really strange thing is that writing and drawing comic book reptiles is what made him able to be bag his porn star wife. :-?
Hell, cuz of those reptiles Laird turned one of his homes into a ski ranch. Who'dda thunk it?

Actually, according to the Heavy Metal website Eastman met Julie at a comic-shop which he probably would still be shopping at if he didn't get rich off the TMNT.
Plus, he and Julie seem to have a real relationship, so I don't think TMNT had much to do with that.

I like the love child of both eastman and larid, if that were possable. This is because I am a fan of their collective brain child, its a lame cop out but thats what you get.
As for eastman, at the time, the turtles werent really going anywhere when he sold his shares to Big L. He wanted to concentrate on his music carear, producing and what not. My guess is that there wasnt any love loss of the turtles, on his part.

I should of known along time ago that Eastman isn't around these parts. They been doing it together until like 1998. At least Laird is incharge of the series any way. Those two may never see each other for a long time or infediny. TMNT had began with 2 ex-friends. If they weren't friend before. We wouldn't be here.
I wounder what would Eastman would say about the new series if he were to be still around.

I'm sure they still talk to one another from time to time, and sometimes it can be hard to get in touch with old pals, especially if they live on the other side of the country.

Actually, I seem to remember reading somewhere (I can't remember where it was!) that they haven't talked to each other for quite some time. Not that it was that they didn't like each other, just that they hadn't done it.
But I may be mis-remembering of course...
Edit: And can someone please tell me why I keep spelling it "remeber"!

I ment now they are ex-friends, I think. I heard that their relation broke up when eastman wanted to do something non-TMNT and laird dis-agreed with the next Mutation plot.
I don't know how the last time they spoken to each other.

Laird said in an interview something to the effect of:
They haven't seen each other in 9 years and they haven't spoken in 2 years.

From Kevin's Artobiography (writing about issue 50):
"By trying to work the way we used to-- plotting sessions, my layouts, and equal chores for all the rest-- I believe we hoped to recapture the kind of relationship we once had in the early days of working together, but we feel we mostly found out how far we had drifted apart. Nothing bad, we just did."
