I don't have an answer, I just want to see what things others value.

You mean like rare stuff? I own a couple of rare comics and toys that could be worth a lot of money, but I don't exactly favor it and it can be replaced if I ever lose it or it gets destroyed.

Prized possesions don't necessarily need to be rare things. For example, one of my prized possessions is my Andrex soft toy I've had since I was about 4. There is no way that can ever be replaced.

I can't name 5. I don't really own anything that old, let alone valuable. Like CC said, I own plenty of toys, mostly action figures, but I could easily replace them if I had to sell them someday.
And even though, I'd be sad if I had to get rid of some things, it's not like I couldn't easily replace them. I don't really have anything I'd call a personal object.

No, I don't mean stuff that's rare, necessarily. I mean stuff which you have a deep emotional connection with really (although you can name anything you like). Some people might care more about that free family heirloom than their £100000 sports car.

I don't have any that I can think of. There's plenty of objects such as old consoles and such that I wish they'd last forever, but when they eventually stop functioning, I'll just accept it and eventually replace them.

Yeah, I get ya.
Some people might name an heirloom - something which has been passed to them from a loved and deceased relative. Others might name a video game console which they use constantly. It's all relative.
Relating to your final point, when I say 'prized' you shouldn't take its accessibility into account i.e. your game console isn't less valuable just because you can buy it again. If you use it constantly it's still very valuable. Think about it in terms of something being irreplaceable.

I know what you mean. I can't think of any object I possess that I deem irreplaceable.

Me either, which is why I wanted to see what other people have to say.

This one is tough. It would be hard for me to pick, but I think one of the tops on my list would be the binder containing my first -ever attempt at both fan-fic and novel writing, that I wrote when I was in sixth grade in 1990. It's the basis of my most popular current fic, and I've kept it for all these years out of sentimental reasons (since it was the first major thing I ever wrote) even though I've contemplated burning or trashing it out of embarrassment on many occasions when others made fun of it over the years. But I didn't, and now I'm glad, as it has shown me just how far my writing has progressed.
It would be much harder to pick the other four, probably my wedding ring, even though I almost never wear it anymore, since I work in fast food and am always a little afraid of it slipping off. I do still have some original movie posters of Star Wars that were my mother's from when I was VERY little, and those would probably be the most "valuable", but not treasured. The other "valuable" items that spring to mind are a Mara Jade Star Wars figure that I found in a comic and game shop years ago (she's the rarest in my collection besides a Special Edition theater-only version of Jedi Knight Luke that a friend gave me for my birthday when the re-release came out) and my first-print Issue #1 of New Avengers that is signed by Bendis and sealed with a certificate with the print number and signature authentication. It's mint.
The only other one I can really think of is a copy of Charlotte's Web that was my mom's, and then mine, and was my favorite book growing up. However, that's no longer in my possession, as I passed it on to my own daughter a few years ago- and she lives in Iowa. But it has both my name and my mother's name on the inside of the cover, so hopefully, my little duckling will treasure it just as much as I did.
And my writing file-folder on my PC, of course. If I ever lost those files, I'd cry. Seriously. My writing is the ONE thing that means the most to me as far as "objects", and I've kept nearly everything I've ever done. So- yeah....

Thanks for your comments, MsMarvelDuckie. It's really nice to hear that you love writing.
Seeing as you're a Marvel geek, have you read Bendis and Brubaker's run of Daredevil? I'm reading it right now on Marvel Unlimited, I've been enjoying it immensely.

It would be easy to list one, for me. It's my entire picture library. I think, when I'm old and forgetful or have a funeral for my remembrance or celebration of my life, there will be a lot of smiles because of the pictures that I've collected throughout my life.

I'm not sure...but maybe...
My Cabbage Patch Doll I got the Christmas of 1984
My Smurf bank (which I named Jokey as he was my fav Smurf back then) in 1982
My VHS tape of Saturday morning stuff taped off TV from about 1985 (with an ep of the Droids/Ewok hour) and other stuff was on it too, like the USA Cartoon Express! And we have a Beta of some early Nickelodeon stuff like Livewire!
My photo with Rie Fu and the CD I had her autograph when I met her in NY back in 2009.
My Do As Infinity CD/DVD/merch collection. I don't own everything but it's something
Maybe an honorable mention can go to my taping my finishing up Mortal Kombat Trilogy on super difficult and choosing the Ultimate Demonstration with all the Fatalities (no stage iirc), Brutalities, Friendships, and Babalities.
Another, maybe my She-Ra coloring book from 1986 or the very first fanfic, technically, I wrote back in the late 80s for Mother's Day about the Gummi Bears. lol
For those who don't know Rie Fu or Do As Infinity, I'll share.
Rie Fu did a song for the Bleach anime. The first ending, "Life is Like a Boat". I know some of you may like that show. I was a fan prior to knowing this though...and I'm not a fan of Bleach.
Do As Infinity is one if my fav groups period. ..although it's not as strong as it was in years past. They did a couple if songs for the Inuyasha anime. The second ending, Fukai Mori and I think the fifth ending, Shinjitsu no Uta. One day I'll see this group in concert. Sucks I'll never see m.o.v.e (formerly move) in concert...disbanded last year. move is another group where I went out of my way to try collecting (importing) their material.
Well, there's always Akino Arai. I'll see her someday.
