The first 2 episode won't finish in the top 10, I can see the 1st episode end up probably between 10 and 15 and 2nd episode probably end up between 15 and 26. But it depends on all other episodes.

Why was Raph the one that had to clean up Donnie's mess again? He had to do it in Slash and Destroy, and now, again with the bathtub scene? Donnie should have been the one to clean it up since he was the once that brought the creature home to begin with! Are the writers trying to tell us something?:-?

Ironically, my list would be the reverse for now. I actually enjoyed A Foot Too Big more than Within the Woods to be frank. I haven't laughed so much in one episode alone since Metalhead!

Within the Woods was really emotional and full of nostalgia in the first half, and then the second half turned into a horror film that ended up in a weird Deus ex machina resolution. In that sense, A Foot Too Big had a much better pacing which flowed naturally.

I know Within the Woods is the season premiere and continues where the cliff hanger in Season 2 left off, but that might give out a false sense that it has to be good. Yes, the first half is really good (up to the point Leo vomited), but I didn't enjoy the rest as much. For A Foot Too Big I enjoyed the entire episode from the beginning to the end, it felt more consistent for me.

Actually in Slash and Destroy he refused to clean up Donnie's mess. And I don't think he end up helping to clean at all (since he was paralyzed by Splinter's pressure-point attack :tlol:)

As for the bathtub, maybe he is assigned to clean it? Everyone in the house seems to have an assigned chore to do, Mikey feeds the chicken, Casey fixes the truck etc. Maybe Raph's in charge of the bathroom cleanliness (makes sense, since he spent most of his time in the bath room before Leo woke up). Their individual chores seems to be assigned based certain criteria/games/bets, such as the one who lost the Turtlehunt will need to clean the chicken coop :tlol:

No, Raph didn't want to clean up the mess, but Leo insisted that if he didn't want to do it, then talk to Splinter about it, and so he gets up and helps out, much to his dismay, and this is when the ooze falls off the table and Spike gets into it.

I just watched the episode again right before I typed my previous post. I think it's time you rewatch it too, anyhow it's a really good ep.

This was the scene by the way (it was Mikey, not Leo who confronted Raph in his room):

M: Uh, dude? You still mad?
R: What do you want, Mikey?
M: Master Splinter wants us to help clean up.
R: No way! Not a chance! Donnie can clean up his own explosion.
M: Hey, if you want to tell sensei you're not helping out, that's all you, dude.
R: Fine. I will!

* Raphael stomps out and slammed his door, causing the mutagen canister to fall and pop open *

R: Sensei, this is completely unfair. Donnie made this mess. How come I have to help?
S: Allow me to make a suggestion, Raphael.
R: Suggest what, sensei? I'm sick of suggestions. What could you possibly suggest?
S: Perhaps you should sit and meditate for a while.

* Splinter strikes Raphael's pressure points - Raphael got paralyzed *

And, I still took it that he still had to help clean up in the end, while Spike was mutating and getting used to his new body.

I'm guessing the rest of them already cleaned up everything by the time Raph recovered from his paralysis. And then he just went back to his room and found Spike mutated.

I just don't think that's it, considering the whole thing about his brothers holding him back and all. Guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I see Raph had to help with the clean up, and you didn't.

Well they did show the other turtles picking up rubbish and mopping the floor etc, but not Raph. Anyway I'll give it a benefit of doubt that either case could be true, we just don't know which one for sure, since it wasn't shown on-screen what happens after he recover from paralysis and before he return to his room.

2 Vision Quest
3 In Dreams
4 Within the Woods
5 Eye of the Chimera
6 Race with the Demon
7 A Foot too big
8 The Croaking

I love John Carpenters The Thing anyway, but buried secrets felt like it had the most actual development of the story arc. In Dreams is just generally very cool, and I agree most of Within the Woods is great. Chimera was solid and Speed Demon I enjoyed but found it wasted a lot of the other characters. I really dont know what to think of the Finger, though its hard not to give Foot too big points for trying to develop (and almost wrap up) Apritello - even if the last few seconds throw all that back up in the air again.
I never saw the Punk frogs in the OT, so Croaking kinda went over my head a bit. Its.... an episode.

edit:
Really like spirit quest, but it does feel ... compressed - which it is - but I was hoping for it to be a bit more fleshed out

My reaction was the complete opposite, I was enjoying the loony tune antics but that ending made me so angry and I wish bad things on April or person that wrote that ending. The original story board made that scene slightly different but final cut kinda dumb it down by changing final shot of Donnie's reaction from tragic to comedic.

And for those wondering why Clash of the Mutanimals is in last, it's because not only has it become unrewatchable for me, but it feels like a bad episode of the OT. Coming up with an original and creative idea, only to have it last for 5 minutes. Not to mention how great this could've advanced Raph's character, but it does next to nothing in that sense.

How is "Clash of The Mutaniamals" unrewatchable and worse than " A Foot Too Big"? It had good action funny moments and good writing. It was one of the top episodes of this season fo me. It's baffling how someone can think it's worse than a stupid episode like "A Foot Too Big". Although it's your opinion and you're entitled to it .

I also forgot to mention why I think it's worse than A Foot Too Big. My bad :P
But what makes A Foot Too Big sort of work is that it's a very hokey episode, and it knows it with the cartoonish animation and jokes spread throughout. It takes its own time to show that its cheesy nature is really on purpose, and is more or less to make fun of something cheesy. It's not supposed to be anything, really, just a humorous romp. But Clash was supposed to be something, and the writing just came off as lazy and uneventful.

1. I found Muckman's design ridiculous.

A foot too big
Raph told Donnie he had no chance with April and he understood that, that's why he went to talk to April. But, what did April do ? She still wants Donnie to follow her around like a puppy. Also I didn't like the "Big foot and The Finger"thing, it doesn't make any sense.

Any chance you're somewhat new to the TMNT? I could see a new fan being thrown off by Muckman, maybe. For me he's a favorite because I grew up with his action figure, which was just so damn cool. I guess I could see where you're coming from with the Donnie/April thing, though. Still, I dunno, I found that episode hilaaarious on a whole. The Finger was like Simon Bonesteel mixed with wrestling personalities & The Running Man's bounty hunters.

Just not at all into the whole Karai mutation thing (though I like her Snake form's design a lot!). I'm really impatient with it as I'm dying to see how her plot will be resolved, I really want to see her finally have some closure, peace of mind, & family. Besides that, I disliked Splinter having a super special almighty power that he never mentioned or used when their lives were at stake that he could conveniently whip up outta no-where for the events of that episode, & worse yet was his amateur son learning it on the spot. Rubbed me the wrong way. The fight was cool & all, but the aforementioned paired with the random Casey kiss just didn't sit well with me. Maybe if the concepts were handled differently I'd have liked them, but the writer for it was responsible for some of my most disliked episodes of the 4kids series. That probably played a part in my opinion of it, but mind you, I wasn't biased, I didn't realize who the dude was until afterward.

And to answer a question you asked in another thread, yes. I plan on doing a Season 3 Episode Tournament. I'm going to wait until next Monday to post the ranking/rating thread, to let the finale sink in. Will also allow me/others to re-watch the season in case my opinion changed on anything.

So stay tuned everyone.
