Hi guys I found this clip from NY comic con 2014
They give some spoiler for the upcoming season 3 episode
NqN8ZRM3NEo
In that video start from minute 02:32 until 05:10, as you guys can see the producer explaining about the turtles have their own element
Here is a screenshot of the video
Updated: Just look for Ninjinister post below for better quality picture

The element for each turtles write in chinese character (ps. sorry I am not that good with chinese character, correct me if I am wrong)
start from the right:
-Ralph is huo/fire element
-Leonardo is feng/wind element
-Donnie is san/mountain element

-Mikie is lin/wood element

http://www.chinese-word.com/chinese/ww/wx06.gif
I wonder why there is no water element
and somehow I prefer leonardo to be water element though since his mask is blue and he is a leader, and water is the symbol of serenity and calmness, which calmness is a trait a leader must have
But I think there is no water element cause they all are a water turtles in the first place and they can swim well, so I believe there is no need water element for it
In the video start from min 03:00, we can see all the 4 turtles are fighting with each boss
But for me I can only see ralph with his element which is fire, in that video we can see ralph use like somekind of flamethrower, and for the other turtles I can't really see their element though
Basicly I am very excited about this, cause they actually add some new stuff to the turtles, which I believe there is no 4 element turtles from the old TMNT
How is your thought about this guys?

I'll skip the video for now to avoid spoilers, however from what we've known previously from that concept art, it's a fun idea.
Leo with all his centered, oneness with everything sort of mindset - collectively speaking over the years, this 2012 youngster is still growing into all that I think - I'm kinda surprised he isn't the earth one, but wind works good for him. Wind is storms, storms are awesome. Hurricane Leo.
Can't wait for this part of the season, I hope it's spread across at least a few episodes and takes it's time with it a little.

Okay, thanks ninjinister for clarifying my picture
And btw their weapon looks more violence, and I hope the parents won't sue Nick because of this since Nick's TMNT is child show to begin with.
I really love their new weapon look really badass
And I actually don't know about the Fūrinkazan (japanese war philosophy) cause I think they base it on element like the legend of aang but looks like it's not
and I think the Fūrinkazan actuallly more of samurai than more of a ninja but I am still okay with it
Love this series, how they make each of the character grow and I am hoping they can explain about this element well, what is their outfit, their weapon, their special skill (like leo with his burning fire) and etc

My hope is that most of said parents are members of the original Turtles generation and won't be so fast to flip out over their age group's iconic heroes. Little bit of a safety net there in that many are still fans themselves.
It's more those that are the grandparents now I'd be worried about, since they were likely the ones to raise a stink over it in the past. But hopefully most of them can take a step back now and let the current parents decide without having to freak out over it.

yeah, they stink
How they changed the movie of TMNT II: The Secret of the Ooze
and they insist the turtle to use some really lame weapon, like mikie from nunchuck to hotdogs and other
YSvTkMPB9mI
But TMNT is not that violence though, there is no blood in it
There are other more violence cartoon and anime out there compare to TMNT

A good way to do this is have the clip we see in the video be a collective vision sending them on their quests. Leo and Mikey's quests I can see as being shorter in comparison to Raph and Donnie. Because Leo and Mikey are the most intune with themselves and their surroundings. And Leo at the least is the most spiritual of the four.
So say Leo's journey is the first ep he would have a memory of receiving his swords as his memory of Splinter. Then through out his vision quests he will also gain a memory where a brother (or for the sake of time all three at once) helped him with a problem and the solution is the key to completing the quest.
Next ep focuses on the journey of another turtle.
Weapon origin with Splinter
Turtle begins journey
Memory where they received guidance from one bro
Turtle encounters conflict
Memory of guidance from second brother
Turtle faces off against conflict
Memory of guidance from third brother
Turtle defeats conflict
Rinse and repeat with next turtle.

Yeah from the picture it is already said, the turtles will have their quest
But for each turtles quest, they get one episode
I am not really sure Nick will do this somehow
But if they want to do this, it sure will be cool, we can know each the turtles more deeply
BTW looks like only ralph (fire) and leo (wind) that has special skill element attach to them, while mikie and donnie just have a new weapon for them

Anyone else think that don's mask looks a lot like Casey's?

It's funny though. Raph has the fire and Leo has the wind. In real life wild fire incidents, it's the wind that spirals the fire out of control. Makes it rage even more. I wonder if this is a quest, or a foreshadowing?

And aren't forests just fuel to keep the fire going? This is not comforting foreshadowing.

considering that, Donnie might snap raph out of it since rocks/mountains don't really burn unless theres a hidden volcano in 1.......

Considering, Leo and Mikey are the ones that are most likely to piss off Raph the most!:P Heh, maybe Donnie could be the one to break through to Raph during his dark arc. It would be the least expected outcome, and one I wouldn't mind, considering there are so little Donnie/Raph moments, across all of the TMNT universe.

Or the forest is completely burned up, ending the fire. In other words, something terrible happens to Mikey snapping Raph out.
I have to agree there isn't a lot Raph/Don, so that would be interesting.

I think that image actually belongs to Raph, simply drawn over Leo because it was space to put it.

Nice observation, would be interesting if it does foreshadow something. Although...just going on the concept of fire itself, not necessarily a wildfire specifically, if wind hits hard enough it could also knock it right out. :P I could see that being Leo, either helping to feed the flames or stop/calm it depending on his own approach/actions.
Either scenario could be helpful in the right situations, i.e. helping Raph channel that rage and put it to use in the right situations, or get it under control.

Yeah, I think you are right
and btw why the furinkazan word for mikey is different with the original furinkazan word from wikipedia here
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/F%C5%ABrinkazan
In that 4 element picture for mikey, it is said = your compactness that of the forest
but from wikipedia, it is said = your silence that of the forest
I wonder why it is different
and what actually compactness means in that mikey furinkazan word, is it dense or density?
and in that picture, we can see mikie use leafy camo face paint on him
http://i1272.photobucket.com/albums/y391/marketfx/Season_3_ninja_turtles_zpsa2b5bff2.png
So if mikey use camo face paint that means he is trying to be stealthy or silent, so why they change the word silent?
and btw if mikey is stealthy or silent, and as we know his mask colour is orange and that is a standout colour and people should be really easy to find him because of that colour
It's actually quite pointless though with his camo forest face paint, but his mask still a standout orange colour, he should put that facepaint to his orange mask too

What concerns me the most is that Donnie looks a lot like Death with the stone mask. It's also ironic that it is a lot like Casey's mask. Does this have something to do with the whole triangle thing going on between them? And is that cape he's wearing the one he had on in the "Kiss" storyboards? It sort of looks like it. Does that mean that they maybe switched up that kiss by moving it up in the season? I can't wait for these episodes to get here.

I think the better fit for the 4 would be:
Leo - water
Raph - fire
Donnie - earth
Mikey - wind
Matches their personalities better.

Personality maybe, though maybe it's intended as a focus to learn and grow from, not necessarily fit something they already have.
Not real sure what they mean in terms of "raiding & plundering," the Turtles aren't much in the way of plunderers... but I could see the fire thing, while it may already suit Raph, being a focus for learning how to control/harness the blaze within himself and use it for good, rather than just harming himself with it.
Wind... given that Leo is the sort to want to go in with a plan, not just jump right in, maybe the wind is about being able to act on instinct alone and swift decision making when a plan is not possible.
Earth... maybe for Donnie to find more inner strength and learn to stand his, well, ground.
Forest... guessing maybe Mikey is learning focus and control of his livewire nature, existing inconspicuously within the forest.
Or, who knows.

I thought it like that too,
But looks like nickelodeon just want to follow the japanese culture stuff rather than to make it looks like the 4 element of the legend of aang
After all, the TMNT is a japanese ninja though, so it is more make sense to nick to follow up toward the japanese war theme, the furinkazan

It kinda would counter balence them too.
Water beats fire.
Fire beats wind.
Wind beats earth.
Earth beats water.

Raph as fire works because when one is angry we describe it as burning with rage. Fire is destructive. But is also calming because fire keeps things warm, it lights up the darkness and guides us
Leo as wind works because it is swift and silent as well as calm and gentle. But it also is fierce and strong. It can fan flames as well as extinguish them. With mountains wind can ware away at stone forming them into what they are. With the forest the wind carries the tree pollen, leaves, and seeds so that the forest can continue to grow and thrive. But its fiercer gusts can knock down entire trees.
Donnie as mountain works because mountains are tall and strong. Vastly patient and contains many secrets. They can contain fire, they are shaped by ice and wind, they offer shelter to the forest and those that seek it. But those that underestimate the mountain also die by the mountain.
Mikey being forest works because the forest can be dense and offers many places to hide. It can offer food for those are hungry in the form of animals for meat and plants for food and medicine. But also death comes in the same forms. The forest can welcome you but it also strikes the unwary.
