Hi,
I'm a turtles-fan from Hungary. First of all I apologize because of my bad english, I try my best. :twink:
I became a fan, as I got an original turtles-poster from a relative in LA back around 1988. It was an artwork in the Mirage-comic-style, I think it was drawn by Eastman and Laird.
This was my first time I met the turtles, you know at that time in Hungary nobody knew them yet. Unfortunately I've lost the poster in a moving to another town.
I suppose I had some othe turtle-goodies back then, but I only remember on that poster...
Two years later I saw the live-action movie in the theatres, and I liked it very much, an then came the Fred Wolf cartoon around that time to the hungarian TV (there were only two TV channels in Hungary that time...). And of course I was a huge fan of it.
And at the same time they were selling the action figures too, and I got some from my parents, and - again - from the relatives in LA.
I knew nothing about the Mirage-comic at that time, because only the Archie-comics were translated to hungarian. And of course I collected them, and I liked them very much.
And then I was getting older, and I tought turtles were childish, and I abandonned this stuff.
But for a year or so (I'm 35 now) I came upon the Mirage-comics, and I was astonished, how cool that is, so I decided to read some and read more about the back story.
And now I'm wathing the 2012-cartoon, and the 2k3-cartoon, that I have missed because of "getting older", and I like both of them very much. And I'm collecting the IDW collections of the Mirage comcs (Ultimate collection, Classics and Tales) and the new ongoing series... and I'm very much thinking about to buy some toys for my bookshelf... and perhaps some of the Lego-Turtles...
I guess I have the Turtle fever... again. And that's just awesome. :tgrin:
