Hi there!

Fellow German TMNT fan and experienced forum lurker here. Usually I wouldn't do those introduction threads as I often feel rather embarrassed writing about cartoon characters as a grown up (29 by now) but since it would be rather rude to pop in and out, as I usually do, I'll try to give it a spin. It's a good thing that comic movies are all the rage nowadays. Serves as a good cover :D

Barely remember the old show, honestly, although I distinctly remember me totally falling for the turtle van commercial from the TV and wasting a precious Christmas wish for it. Was worth it though.

The time I really started getting interested in the turtles (with all the comic back story stuff and all) was when I stumbled over the 2k3 series somewhere around 2010 and watching pretty much through all of seasons to the end of Fast Forward in one holiday week. I got the bad habit of obsessing over such things when catching interest and invest an unhealthy amount of effort and time collecting information. Until I loose interest in about one or two weeks afterwards. But I was quiet baffled finding such a rich history behind such a silly concept of mutant turtle ninjas beating up bad guys with varying degrees of violence.

Gotta admit that I never read any comics though, as I was pretty much burned out at that point.

Now I've stumbled over the new 2012 series and the circle starts anew. Plus the new movie that got out (quiet a moral dilemma, really. I know it will be a dumb popcorn flick at best but then again, those things only got a chance to shine on the big screen with good sound in my opinion).

Anyway, if anything, I want to say that I really appreciate the effort of y'all that you invest into this franchise with such an enthusiasm that I can only admire. This is both educational and inspiring. Also I'm grateful for making me look less silly, o'course :P

Hi and welcome! Hey, I remember that Turtle Van commercial, my friend. I drooled over that thing for weeks before finally nabbing it. Best nonChristmas gift I ever got. I seem to remember getting it around October or thereabouts. Like you, I've not really been able to read much comics, but enjoy all the animated incarnations. I'm wading through all of them at the moment. Anywho, glad to meet you and see ya around the forums!

Howdy - and welcome! No need to feel silly for being passionate about the Turtles; to my mind, a hobby is a hobby, whether it's scrapbooking, supporting your favorite football team or a tv show/comic book series that you enjoy.

Anyhow, glad to have you here, and I look forward to seeing you in the forums. :tsmile:

Hey! :anime:

Always nice to see some fellow German fans. :D
(But I'll write in English, that's politer towards the forums.)

No need to feel embarrassed! I'm 23 and I just recently got into tmnt, mainly the 2012 version. Heck, I'm still loving Pokemon and play it regularly.

I hope you enjoy it here! :)
