TMNT Season 2 Best Episode Tournament: Of Rats & Men vs. The Good, Bad, & Casey Jones

Welcome everyone to the TMNT Season 2 Best Episode Tournament. It's Round 2, Match 2. After the first match blow out, will the second match up be a ccloser bout? Round 2 polls will be a 3 day and a private vote poll, unless you decide to post your choice of course. :D.

Last time, The Invasion showed it is indeed the episode to beat after giving a first class beat down of the 17 seed Mikey Gets Shellacne. Any episode that faces the season finale will indeed has their work cut out for them, which will be one of these two episodes next.

I'm gonna go with The Good, the Bad, and Casey Jones though cause it was one of the few episodes that had him in it and NO love triangle mention! perfect!! XD

The Good, The Bad, & Casey Jones. The scenes with Raph and Casey fighting against each other and then later fighting together are my favorite of the show so far. :D

Both Rat King episodes achieved first round byes for these tournaments I've done. If this stands, neither Rat King episode will have won a match despite getting a bye. (#7 seed I, Monster lost to #10 seed Operation: Breakout last year after a first round bye)

Quick question which episode was the winner of the season 1 bracket?

This was actually a tough choice. I went with the good,the bad,and casey jones. There was awesome moments in of rats and men. Such as the rat king returning. I love this version of the rat king...very undertakerish with the trench coat and the hat. Awesome ending with splinter defeating rat king. The best part was one of the best mutants ever..ICE CREAM KITTY!!! Also a bonus to get kevin eastman himself to voice ice cream kitty. All that though definitely took a slight back step to the good,the bad, and casey jones. This episode showed off the full blown casey that we know up to the point where this series is now. Several scenes majority of the episode was a homage to the 1990 flick. Raph was the first turtle meeting him,casey seeing raph all pissed off on another rooftop. The ending where they worked together to take down that one footbot was great as well. They become fast friends and as donnie said it "WE HAVE NOW TWO RAPHAELS" This would be a nice victory to either of these episodes because which ever wins has a tough tough task taking down the invasion. Not going to happen.

By "original," I meant in the context of this show. It was more of its own thing, not just a continuation of a previous episode.

The Good, The Bad, & Casey Jones got my vote in round #1, and again in round #2 here. Round #3 is going to be interesting if this one gets through... Leo one-shot vs Raph one-shot! Especially since we seem to have more Raph fans here than Leo's :tlol:

Of Rats and Men was good with the return of the Rat King, though it's a lot like I, Monster with bigger mutant rats. It wasn't even in my original top 12 seeds to begin with. Intro of Ice Cream Kitty was a nice touch, but we have enjoyed seeing ICK even more in later episodes like Pizzaface and A Foot Too Big, not only in this debut episode.

Have to agree with most of you, 'Of Rats & Men' is basically the same as it's season 1 counterpart. It's a good episode but lacks some originality. Of course, there's ICK and she's just awesome! :lol: But I see her more as part of the B-Plot.

So I'll give my vote to 'The Good, the Bad & Casey Jones', we finally get to see Raph and Casey together and man, am I loving these two! In general I'm a big fan of the bash brothers trope.
Oh, and awkward Raph apolizing to Leo always gets me. So cute. :anime:

While I do like Of Rat & Men a lot, especially the introduction of ICK I gotta go with The Good, The Bad and Casey Jones.

Being a Raph fan, this was pretty damn good. There was great character development for him, lots of little nods to the 1990 movie and the 2K3 series and I liked seeing Casey and Raph's relationship develop. I actually thought the chasing scene wasn't boring at all, they had to work together due to the gravity of their situation and in doing so saved each other's lives which then developed into a mutual respect.

I voted for the Rat King centric episode, both are great episodes in their own right but this one really grabbed my attention.

The Casey Jones episode was great, so don't get me wrong but something about watching Splinter kick the crap out of the Rat King towards the end was a ton of fun. But I prefer "Vengeance is mine" Over any of these episodes, there was so much at stake in that one and the final moments watching Karai fall into the vat still gets to me.

Doesn't mean I dislike the character. Isn't it childish to make that kind of an accusation anyway without proof of your claim?
