Yeah, it completely does. Hadn't even caught enough of a glimpse of the first two images after quickly spotting the third.

It's mud. Yeah, has a poo sort of shape to it, but it's mud.

dont know if it was intentionally related or not, but i paused on the actual artivle, and towards the end of it, it says something along the lines of "...'theyre kind of cute' said someone with optimism (and questionable taste)..."

couldnt read it that well, as the pause bar at the bottom blocked some of it, but thought it was a comment towards the fans when they first saw the designs

:lol: Willing to bet it is, sounds too coincidentally similar to comments made when the designs went public. So I suppose it might be a safe bet to guess roughly when early production of this episode was happening? :P

But if a subtle comment was their intention the Nick team above and beyond had the best medium to do it with over anyone else, so points for that. lol Nick team getting a little catty there for a moment. lol

As annoying as a two week break was, that was worth waiting for.

many people believed that in the nick shows season 1 finale, mikeys line "Atleast were not stupid aliens!" was a dig at the new movie.

also, dont know if it was aimed at the old movies or the pre production pics of the new movie but in season 2's 3rd episode raph had a line along the lines of "thats more ridiculous than a turtle in a trench coat"

The nick show is not afraid to take some shots :tlol:

It was pretty neat easter egg. I really didn't catch what the other two headshots looked like.

I think the turtles have worn trenchcoats in pretty much every version of TMNT before Nickelodeon. I don't know why they drew the line at that.

It's stuff like this that makes this show amazing to me. It's the best version of the turtles in my opinion (after the 90's movie of course).


Regarding that trench coat jab, i think that's a shot at the OC because they used to go out in little trench coats and hats. Then of course the 90's movie has Raph in the coat and hat.
