Baxter's Mutation

You know what would be an awesome thing to do that no other incarnation has done? Give Baxter a reason to turn into a fly by giving him a fear of bugs that he openly expresses, giving Shredder or whoever something to threaten to him. I think it's a pretty good idea.

I think it would be interesting - I mean, bugs are pretty disgusting to start off with. It'd be an interesting play to have a bit more of the 'body horror' element where you explore the psychological elements of being turned into this completely repulsive, alien creature. Kind of like The Fly.

Even though I haven't followed the Nick TMNT religiously, I have watched Stockman mutate again into Baxter the Fly.

And I will agree with Penny and then I will take it a step further by making Baxter Fly even yuckier in appearance (as if he needed the extra help) by suggesting that he could have crossed mutated into a fly / roach or a fly / spider mutant. Or even make him more humanoid but have him retain some really mutated attributes like humanoid fly legs or extra fly arms or keeping his face halfway human with a fly's mouth parts. Y'know, go Frankenstein on Baxter with those housefly body parts. Not only would be much more gross in appearance but it might make him more deranged and all the more dangerous for it.

As if the animators would allow any of the above to happen to Stockman.

What they did to Stockman in the 2k3 series was awesome. I don't think even Nick has the balls to do that, and they did some messed up stuff in the new show.

I always thought Baxter's mutation in the OT was a bit horrifying. Baxter was a weasel, and a bad guy, but I felt a bit sorry for him. The disintegrator unit scene looked really painful, and for no other reason than Krang thought he was useless.
