It would be nice if they did a Christmas episode, but with the erratic way this show is aired, if they did originally have a Christmas episode in mind, I could see it airing in time for...Easter. :P:lol:

I can see them doing a Christmas episode next year, maybe. After all most of Season 3 was Halloween based and aired around October.

Its kind of messed up doing a Christmas episode, when NY has been taken over by the Kraang, while at the Farmhouse.

So they should take back NY and then do a Christmas episode after.

I wish. I miss when shows did holiday specials more - like a legit one, not just these days where it's "oh it snows in this episode so we'll air a repeat for Christmas" - now you're lucky if you even manage to find any old classics on. A TMNT one for this series would be so awesome.

I liked that they had spooky ones on prior to Halloween, but again, it's what's usually done now, it's spooky, but not directly a Halloween storyline. (Granted TMNT's timeline is not in the same season, but still.)

I just think them being at the farmhouse would be a perfect opportunity for them to do Christmas. :/
Agree very much. Even if it's just a quiet little holiday for them, given the circumstances of prior months.

Maybe in another season of the series, when the calender season in the show would be appropriate (or realigned with the real world season) and their families are reconnected, the show can have them all back up there at the farm house for a Christmas episode.

I thought they were past December by now. It was already snowing in Invasion parts one and two, and then April did say something about how Leo was in a coma for a few months (two to three) and snow doesn't start to hit NY until around November, so, by the time Leo woke up, it was probably at the end of Feb already. I wouldn't be surprised if A Foot Too Big was supposed to have been around Valentines Day. Either way, it looks like the producers skipped the X-mas theme altogether, probably to avoid ruffling any feathers.

I'd rather they didn't. I don't really like a lot of holiday specials, and I don't know where it would fit. When they're at the farmhouse, there isn't even any snow, so I don't think it was winter when they arrived there, unless NH is the type of place to not get a lot of snow in the winter.

If they did adapt his one-shot, I wonder what they'd do for it or how they'd approach it. Wasn't that the one where Mikey found the cat?

I'm glad they don't do that Donnie one-shot story with drawings coming to life. Don't really like that kind of story.

And we already have Kirby as April's dad so we don't need another Kirby.

-----------

Now Mikey and Ice Cream Kitty Xmas story I wanna see. Or something original that involves those two. :tlove:

Wait, what about an Apritello Xmas story? That'll be grand too.

Apritello Christmas Carol.

That's a nice ring to it.

I wish they'd surprise us with one and be the reason they aren't telling us any dates or what's next. Wishful thinking, I know. lol

And if they don't want to mess with it being off season in the show, then make it a flashback from when the Turtles were younger, maybe they're reminiscing over things like that in light of all that's happened in prior months.

If they did a Christmas moment during this time at the Farm house I could see that. What better time to join together than with giving each other presents and they could be ones from the heart. This could be done as an episode ender, even if it doesn't really go with the theme of this "horror"-ible season starter.

You know if they were to end this farmhouse series I say end it with a bang, a haunted house/poltergeist/monster house type of theme to force them to decide to go back to New York. They can't be away from danger for too long so let's have our heroes know that it is everwhere as they already know and let the final push out of this be that the house wants to keep them forever. This would at least fit in with the horror them set up in this season.

The spirit finding quest should happen before this so they have something new in themselves to fight back with when the house tries to keep them. This most likely isn't the way Nick will end this farm time fun, but I just thought it would be a fun way to go out, especially with the theme of these first episodes of the third season.

Straight up Mogwai.

Not a mutant, but an alien.

Donnie tests it, determines it's not a danger. Mikey gets a pet. Does all the usual mogwai no-no's.

Hilarity and Gremlin horror ensue.

Including but not limited to hogtying Raph up to the roof with christmas lights.

I would like this to happen please.

Oh, got some dialogue:

Casey: "Is it uh...a mutant?"

Mikey: "When was the last time you saw a mutant this cute? Besides ME at least." *hand under chin, big doe eyes pose*

Hey, it could still happen.

If the speculation about season three getting pushed back because of the movie is true, there could still be a Christmas special.

Just would happen after Christmas. Like all the horror episodes happened slightly before/after Halloween.

The Vision Quests and having proof of Splinter being alive will probably be the wake up call and push needed for them to go back to NYC.

For the quest, each turtle (Donnie, Raph, and Mikey anyway) faces a Shredder henchman. Tigerclaw, Fishface, and Rahzaa respectfully. They didn't show Leo's, but it's probably Shredder.

And I'm in that number as well. 2003 series just didn't grab me at the time. I'm about 2 seasons in now, and still get those moments where my belief-suspenders get stretched to their limit and snap me in the shoulders. It's bad when I start MST3King it...

Christmas/Holiday episode: I get the feeling a lot of shows don't have the guts to make anything specifically Christmassy for fear of the PC blitz they'd have to face. I'd be all for it as long as they could do something original and entertaining. "How ICK Saved Channukah" or something could be cute.

If this year is unlikely to see any such holiday kind of episode, I hope next season can get it's calender seasons realigned with the real world (ok, northern hemisphere, nothing against the south) and pull off a Christmas one.

Well yeah it does have those moments. It's especially bad with how far advance Donnie's technology can be but is it any worse then Nick TMNT's moments of suspended disbelief? At least the utroms knew how to blend in.

I was throwing a bit my imagination in there with what I have seen of these horror movie homages to get the story moving back to new york. Plus I like horror movies.

It got the family homeless in the original Poltergeist movie, so I figured it would give a push back to the city for the turtles and show a definite end to the farm house/healing situation. They take a breather only to find the house doesn't want them to leave.

I figured they would use the 1990 movie/comic spirit connecting stuff eventually especially with how the season 2 ended and the fact that this spirit stuff has been shown in concept and storyboard form.

And now with the mention of Gremlins, that would be great as a Christmas episode. I could see this happening as well. Especially since it also ties to Corey Feldman.

If it happened in this season, big bright Christmas tree outside destroys the gremlins during the final battle, immediate disgusting piles of goo.

Oh wait, how about combining various Christmas movie elements together; Christmas story, home alone, gremlins, christmas vacation.

How about a Tokyo Godfathers plot. I think there is an American equivlant to the same story.

The story was directed by the late great Satoshi Kon, and the script was co-authored by Keiko Nobumoto the head script writer for Cowboy Bebop and creator of the Wolfs Rain series.

The film is set during Christmas and follows a small family of homeless people Gin-An alcoholic, Hana-A drag queen, and Miyuki-a run away. While searching through the garbage the three of them come across a new born baby along with a note requesting for the babys care and scant clues pertaining to the baby's parents. So the three of them give the child the name of Kiyoko and go of in search of her true family.

How it would fit in the Turtles universe is that perhaps the Turtle are returning to New York when they come across a mutant child. The child tells them that they had been on their own since they were mutated. At first they think the childs parents abandoned them when they were mutated. But it turns out that the child had been afraid of being abandoned by there family because of what they are. April,Casey, and the Turtles reassure them that any loving parent will accept their child no mater what form they take. Giving the child the resolve to face their family knowing that their new friends will be there for them no matter the outcome.
