As an animator and huge fan of the show and art of books, It would be awesome if the desire for that started buzzing around and it happened on day. The ultimate visual history is awesome, but I wanted more Nick stuff!
I for one, abosluetly LOVE their drawn model sheets for all the characters and would love to see zbrush models and in progress shots and things like that. I would really be into seeing how they went from the initial concept for the new show to how they now look, because I feel like I read the show was pitched as 2D and tests were made and shown. Also I love their animatics and would love to see a huge collection of boards because I always want more of the "Mutation of a Secene"s, I'd watch the entire episode animatic, I'm sure I can't be the only one. I am not a big fan of Adventure Time but they have a really fantastic Art Of book that I've seen and I'd hope the Turtles would at least be considered for fans interested in the art and process.
Anyone else here think it'd be a good idea? I'd buy a 35$+ art of Nick's TMNT no question.

I also had an idea of a mutant field guide with its fictionalized author either being Donatello or Jordan Perry as a reference from the TMNT 2.

It would be an insta-buy for me too. I would love it if they added cut content (scenes or dialog) to it on top of storyboards and concept art. Model sheets are also awesome and with their exact color palette keys.

I suggest taking this idea directly to IDW publishing (current holders of the TMNT publishing licence). They have good form with these kinds of books, with writer Jim Sorenson having already put out a number of similar books for Transformer and GI Joe in the last few years. He has some great connections in that regard.

I too would pre-order the shell outta that kind of thing. As it is I have saved as much concept art & the like I could find, to study & admire. I'd even be happy to contribute a scan of my TMNT group shot that Ciro drew for me. :tcool: (Totally bragging, I don't even care~)

I'd totally get this for sure. And I agree about their maybe being rough cuts of the scripts so we can see what might have gotten cut out if they had to.
