Don't think anyone posted this yet. Here's a new interview with TMNT executive producer Ciro.

Welp, seems the horror theme was made for the Halloween season like most theorized. Four out of six isn't all that bad anyway.

Well even though he wasn't very clear about apritello thing, it still nice to know that will be a end point for it.
That idea about the halloween kid that wouldn't leave would have been way too creepy for TMNT, but I still kinda want to see it.

I would've loved it. I'm not a horror fan, but I do like creepy, scary plays with your mind junk, especially around Halloween.
Think that kid would've gotten along with Mikey? lol

CIRO NIELI: There’s definitely a planned end point, but we don’t know how we’re charting it, so it’s a little bit of both of what you just said. It’s fun to meander there. The affairs of the heart are never planned that clearly so we’re kinda playing it a little bit realistically that way. We’re just having fun with it right now, but Casey definitely moves fast though. I think Donnie’s a lot more of a polite guy but Casey never waits that long. But you never know….I think April truly loves Donnie.D'awww :tlove:

I thought that was cute too. Now put your money where your mouth is!
I'm glad he cares about Karai. Things were great with her story until suddenly snake hands. e.e

LOL how he says he doesn't want to use characters from the IDW comics because they're too current, but then he goes on saying he hopes Tiger Claw winds up in the IDW series at some point. Like, what?
He also name dropped the "2003 TMNT series" so he's likely watched through it.

We had a really specific Halloween story that we couldn’t do about a boy who came to the door and knocked in his Halloween costume and never left — wouldn’t go home, and then wasn’t really wearing a costume.
OH COME ON. This would have been awesome to see!
Damn.

Hi, guy who did the interview here.
I wouldn't get too upset about the comment about Tiger Claw. Ciro's point was that in general he hopes Tiger Claw becomes a character who outlives the show. Consider it like how the current show is going to use Rocksteady and Bebop. IDW was used as an example mainly because I opened by asking about show length and if IDW stuff was available, so I think he read it as something close to my heart.

Hard to believe that The Invasion didn't air in UK yet. Toonzone News could have asked about Agent Bishop because of that episode.

CIRO NIELI: First of all, I’m glad you guys aren’t watching a show called Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles. Thanks for watching, I think the support’s been great. I’ve been seeing so much of a huge fan base from the UK, it’s kind of overwhelming. I’m open to suggestions, thoughts, and opinions but for the most part thank you and I’m always happy when I can show this show in a different country and still keep the original voice talent too. You guys get the real effect of it and the voice talent is really strong on this show. I’ve watched this show in Italian, Korean, Japanese and Chinese and it was really strange. Italian was very strange as I speak Italian and it kinda freaked me out. The language gets a little blue and cheeky in translation and they’re cool with it, which is odd.
Actually, most of the Asian dub of the show are quite good, I have watched the Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese as well as my own country's Malay language version of the show. The Japanese dub is probably the most bizarre of those I watched, the voice actors tend to raise their voice a lot and over-exaggerate emotions in their voice tone, but I guess that's a pretty common thing in Japan! The other language dubs are relatively balanced in tone and more similar to the original English dub in terms of expression quality.
That being said, translation quality is sometimes a hit or miss as certain jokes do not translate well to a different language (such as the time Mikey thinks that "wrong" is spelled with R). On the other hand, I also came across some translated words that made even better sense than the original English dub, and sometimes more fitting to the situation at hand! These cases are of course culture-independent and only people who understand the language well would get the inside-joke or intended meaning right. I laughed so hard at the Cantonese version of Parasitica when Mikey said "Leo, you went crazy, dude" and got translated to "李奥,你发神经啊" which is a very funny way of teasing someone that he has gone absolutely nuts, if you know the language. Although it doesn't really sound that funny in English, if at all.

Maybe he meant too current as in, It's too Nostalgic? The Nick series has been taking a totally different approach with all its characters, Take Bebop and Rocksteady for example, The IDW series, They are true to the origins of those characters, in Nick, They went on a completely different direction.
I never read the IDW comics, But I think it would be cool to see TigerClaw in that, Have a Old Hob vs TigerClaw fight, That will be one hell of a Cat fight. :)

It would have worked well had the Halloween episodes ended when October month was over.
Not that it matters, I'm not even a fan of horror flicks and I don't like how it's all going either but that's saved for the trashing thread 8)
