Hi there,

Maybe a strange question.. but i'm hoping somebody could help me :D.
I am thinking about getting a tattoo on my heel. On the inside of my heel i got a pretty ugly scar, it is just like a 'pirate scar'. I think it would be fun to put a turtle mask above the scar (the scar would be the mouth).

Now i'm searching for a good picture for the tattoo. Could somebody help me with that?
When i'm searching in comicbooks or on the internet i think its hard to just look at the mask, without a turtle on it. So i can't decide from a picture if it would be a good mask to make the tattoo.

(Sorry for the sh*tty English)

Are you asking for photos of the TMNT where their bandanas look cool, basically? I'm a little confused.
Also, do you want comic versions, cartoon versions, or movie versions? I'd like to help, but I need more info.

Also whereabouts exactly on your foot are you thinking of getting it? Do you mean like, on the back of your foot? Because depending on how much space you have to work with, that's going to affect the artwork that you choose; a small space means you're not going to want to choose something with a lot of detail.

be careful with foot tattoos that don't fall on top of the foot. I've had many friends get tats on the sides of the foot and if it's not a quality artist, the ink fads and they end up looking like complete crap.

On the heel? So something small then?

An Utrom could fit.

Thanks for the reactions. I am searching for a good bandana to put above the scar, but i'm not sure what a good one would be.

So my question would be, what kind of bandana would you put above this ugly scar. (Yes, i know, it's kinda a bad idea but i think it would be fun to put one above it:trolleye::tgrin:)

I think you'd be better off talking to a tattoo artist about potential ideas - placement is gonna be tricky and a professional tattoo artist will have more knowledge about what design is going to work best with the area (if at all) than a bunch of people on a messageboard. You may well come up with an idea but then go in to discuss it with a tattoo artist and find it can't be done for a variety of reasons.

I find it's best to have an idea as a jumping-off point -- which you do, and then collaborate with someone who knows what they're doing to make it the best it can be.

If a reputable tattoo artist tells you it can't be done - you're best listening to their advice, rather than going to some scratcher who's going to give you something ugly and poor-quality.

Totally agree with Pennydreadful. Your tattoo artist is the best person to discuss this with! Maybe bring in some photos of various bandannas to give them an idea of what you're thinking, and they should be able to sketch up some ideas that will make sense for the area of the tattoo and your aesthetic preference. Good luck!
