Toy Sculpt Sneak Peek!

For those of you who aren't subscribed to Dan Berger's Official TMNT List, they've got some cool sneak peek looks at some upcoming action figure sculpts. One is of Silver Sentry's arch nemesis, Dr. Malignus (http://www.ninjaturtles.com/toys/2003/drmalignus/drmalignus.html) and a Shredder Clone (http://www.ninjaturtles.com/toys/2003/cloneshredder/cloneshredder.html) from the upcoming Return to New York saga.

That's awesome! Does this mean we might be getting a silver sentry, and a turtle titan?

Very nice, very nice. Hopefully this does indeed mean that Silver Sentry and Turtle Titan are on the way. I can give or take SS or Dr. M. But TT is an actual variant costume for Mikey that appears in the cartoon. :)

Heh, I'm excited that they're gonna look like the ones from the comics. I wonder how they're gonna explain them, though, since in the comic they were failed attempts at recreating the original Shredder.

Yes, but what about someone who hasn't read the old comics? The only TMNT comics I've read were:

Volume 1 Issue 1 (on the official site)
Volume 4 Issues 6-8 (I own them)

I think since they are sculpting the toys, we are going to see them in the cartoon first. Dan dosent know when the toys are coming out so I don't thenk we will see them untill the show has already explained their existance.

They both look really cool! I hope the shredder clone IS in the show and not just part of say a Mutant line of figures. Even if its not its still awsome :)

Well as far as I know they are really sticking to the toys being from the show, this can be good and bad. I want to see remakes of old figures that I cant see appearing in the new show simplt because it would make me too happy.

Dr. Malignus I guess I could do without... I'll wait to see what he looks like finished. I guess this means that they will be a Silver Sentry, I mean, it would be pretty stupid to have Dr. Malignus but not the Silver Sentry. The Shredder clone as far as I'm concerned is perfect. They got the look down (but I would've expected, say, a Baxter before a Shredder clone, because he plays a larger part in the show. So the descision is rather puzzling).

And the Shredder clones are certainly going to be in the series.

Yep. It's what he was like in the comics. Atleast it's better than all the mutants in the old show. :lol:

The Shredder Clones are three of my favorite characters from the comic, I almost hyperventalated when I first saw these pics, the clones looks soooo freakin' cool, looks exactially like in the comics!!!!

Oh, and I thought Dr. Malignus was a cool brand new villian. He has a great design and I'll be happy to own the figure, and of course they have to make Silver Century to go along with him, and I really hope they make a Turtle Titan figure too. That was such a great eppisode, proved that 4kids is cappable of making their own good stories, even without adapting mirage.

Why or who tried to clone the Shredder in the comic book? Also, why, if they were trying to clone him, did he come out in 3 different looking versions? :-?

I just hope these new figures will be a tad more articulated. The first wave of new TMNT figures was great with the ball-jointed shoulders & hips, but after that they seem to be going with the "are-figures-have-no-hip-articulation-so-they-can-never-ever-sit-down" type of articulation. Maybe they should bring back the old socket-jointed hips like on the original figures. That worked kinda well & they at least could sit down (sorta, but more so then these new guys).

Ohhh...Okay. So, wait, if the clones are in the cartoon, then I wonder if the Shredder that was seen in the last 2 episodes aired (that 2-parter when Leo gets the smack knocked outta him) is the final perfected clone of ol' Shred-head? :o :-?

Nope, he definitly survived that last battle on the show. Keep in mind that the new Shredder costume is able to endure alot.
