The Turtles are run out of the city by Shredder and the Kraang, and retreat to April's farmhouse upstate. As they get used to their new environment, they'll encounter new mutants and creatures within the wild woods!

In 2013 and 2014, Nickelodeon and Paramount Home Media Distribution put out six "volume" DVD titles for Nick's 2012 TMNT animated series, covering episodes from the show's first and second seasons. These 1- or 2-disc releases each contained as few as 6 episodes, and no more than 12 per title. A number of fans objected to that, asking for season sets, and Nick/Paramount responded this past October with a general release of "The Complete 1st Season." People were very happy about that!

Today, Nick/Paramount announced their next season set DVD release for this show. Nope, it's not the second season! Actually, the studio is jumping ahead and has scheduled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - Season 3, Volume 1 for DVD. The date provided to retailers today is March 10th. No other details were provided at this time, so we don't have pricing or package art for you right now. Stay tuned and we'll update you as soon as we can!

Still waiting for blu-ray sets. Not buying any of these DVDs just to have to sell them off later when blu-ray's come out.

These might be the only option for awhile. Look at 4kids, some of the dvds are pretty expensive.

I do like the cover! Too bad that Casey got cut out of the pose though!

Awesome. Kind of wish it was February though since that's my birthday month, but oh well. I can wait. I'm also curious as to why Casey's not on the cover. Seems weird that he'd be cut out considering he's with them.

I was going to pick up a copy at Wal-Mart this afternoon after a meeting with my job coach in town, but my mom really wanted to get home and do some chores around the house, so I'm either gonna ride bike back downtown tomorrow or wait until Thursday after my eye doctor appointment. Either way I'm sure I'll be able to find a copy.

Picked up a couple of copies today (one for myself and a friend) at walmart. Not bad for $10.

I got my copy from Amazon because the last one I bought at Walmart was full price. I don't know why it was discounted other places, but not Walmart.

After having watched them again straight through I found it funny the things that I saw differently this time around.

Leo didn't seem as weak and injured as I remembered him and hearing him with Seth's voice didn't seem as jarring or odd this time. I guess I'm used to him now.

Raph didn't take over the guys as much as I thought he had. I'm not knocking how great he was as the adult figure for the group though.

I still didn't like several of the episodes, especially a foot too big. I just can't stand that finger guy.

I may have liked the Croaking a bit more than when I first watched it.

I wish it would have had The Vision Quest on it, but I guess they are putting that one with the return to NY cluster.

Am I loosing my mind or did they completely skip over the DVD release of the Invasion? When Karai is changed into a mutant, the Kuro Kabuto being stolen... did I miss a DVD release?

That's pretty awesome, not gonna lie.

I'm not sure why I haven't gone to pick this up yet...

Mom picked this up at Wal-Mart for me on Tuesday after her retiree breakfast. I watched some of it and am glad I have this now as it has some of my favorite episodes on it. Haven't watched "The Mutation of a Scene" stuff yet, but I'll get to it.

Basically. xD I've decided to buy no more TMNT '12 until it's blu-ray.

But if you wait, they may not release it on Blu-Ray at all. I say buy these DVDs because not only are they cheap in price, but if you do this, it'll show Nick that you're interested in the series and they may release it on Blu-Ray at a later date. If you don't buy them, then you won't be contributing to the success of the DVDs, and if that happens, they may not release it on BR at all. Just saying.

As much as I want bluray releases I still buy the DVDs because I prefer to have physical copies of my media instead of digital and if this is all we are going to get I'd prefer to get them now with nice embossed slip covers while I can. I hate digital unless I absolutely have to go that route. Working in music for years I have come to realize that the sales of a product do a lot for the companies in terms oh how and what they will release next. Without the show of support the purchases give the company blurays may not be a possibility. If bluray sets are ever released the double dipping will suck but in the end I'll probably just pass the dvd copies I already have to someone who will appreciate them or sell them and use the money toward the bluray releases. In the end it'll be worth it to have the show in higher definition and hopefully new bonus features.

BluRays would be awesome and I am amazed these still dont have BluRay releases. Season 3, part 1 is out and we dont even have a complete season set on either platform? And how no BluRay?!

Well... I bought "Retreat" last night... can't wait to watch it. Again, I haven't seen anything on this disc except the first episode with Seth Green who is mostly mute 'cus Leo is recovering.

EDIT
And agreeing with BubbleyShell... They are $8-9 new (You could buy one of the toys for that much!) and it's been consistent through all the releases. I hold no hopes that, in the future, a better collection will be available. If that were the case, where's the rest of the 2003 series? Point being: we don't know the true fates of these properties. I don't understand why they don't make note what seasons or parts these DVDs fall into. "Retreat" doesn't mentioned anywhere on the case it's part of a 3rd season collection, etc.
Meanwhile Legend of Korra makes sense with complete season sets and "Book" numbers, etc.

Since TMNT is marketed so weirdly from the Nick show, I'll buy up what I can get until a better option is available... and then consider if it's worthwhile. I cant really sell the old stuff when that time comes, it's old and the DVDs are $8 each.

Just burned through this disc. I highly enjoyed the episodes! I just wish there were more.
A Foot Too Big and The Croaking were, IMO, the weakest on the disc. My favorite was In Dreams by far. That was a crazy fun episode!

Is there a complete set of Season 2 yet or not? I don't mind the DVD releases since I use a portable DVD player for my collection of Kung Fu classics which are usually foreign DVD releases anyways.

From my post earlier:

Nothing announced for US release yet, but Australia already has it, and UK will be getting it by end of this month:

There is a box set of season 1, but I think season 2 will be out later this year, probably over the summer.

Not yet, but if it's anything like the season 1 box set, it will be out in four or five months.
