them.
Is it so hard to give fans what they want? :flaming: Apparently so for Nick. :trolleye: Fine, their loss.
edit: How can we make Nick take notice that we want this show on blu ray? Spam their email? Twitter flog Ciro? A petition maybe?

Let's make this with a constructive twist then.
How can we make Nick take notice that we want this show on blu ray? Spam their email? Twitter flog Ciro?
I want this to happen.

Yea and the complete season 1 set are just the first 3 DVDs in a fancy box sleeve... I dont even think there's anything new.
For BluRay they need to, IMO, do full season sets, with the DVD features... maybe make mutation of a scene more of a PiP type feature... and get a buncha other things for bonuses on there, like how they developed the new series, the design process, cast interviews, etc.
The show is CG... this needs to be presented in the highest, clearest, crispitist 1080p with as best we can get to reference-style 7.1 audio. The kids can enjoy the DVD... the rest of us want to see ourselves reflecting back from the character's eyes. lol

Eh, I'm actually fine with what we have now, DVD releases with 5.1 audio and iTunes/Amazon digital downloads for the HD video. I can mix them myself to get the supposed "Blu-ray" version if I want to.
Now if they release it in Blu-ray 3D, or 4K, or BOTH! Now we're talking :thyper:
And maybe Dolby Atmos :teek:

yea know... I haven't gotten any digital codes/VUDU on my DVDs since Mutagen Mayhem...

If they were to do a Blu-ray, I think the obvious special feature would be to give each episode an isolated score. It doesn't even have to be lossless (though that'd be nice)! It's just one extra audio track for each episode, and given the remarkable capacity of a Blu-ray I think they could do it if they wanted to.

All of those 3 shows are infinitely better than TMNT btw...and I don't just mean in technical aspects!

considering two of those three properties never got toys, or anywhere near the advertising that TMNT gets, I'm finding it a little hard to drum up sympathy.

Shell panties are in a bunch over this? :P
I can't really see them not doing it at some point, but maybe as a larger collection. Unless of course Bue-ray is shoved aside by other newer formats.
All I can figure is maybe it was simply a decision of doing only one or the other for the time being. And most are prob still able to play DVDs, but not everyone has jumped on the Blu-ray bandwagon.
Had no idea Thunder Cats even came back to be honest. And with it seemingly gone already, as well as Young Justice and Korra ending too... I assume Bly-ray is prob a way of trying to milk any amount of worth out of it, which isn't really a concern for TMNT right now. By it's end I'm guessing we'll see it, or via digital or whatnot if TMNT outlasts Blu-ray popularity.

Thundercats and Young Justice are completed? You mean no one renewed the shows for new seasons. That's what one of the artists for Young Justice told me when I went to Anime Detour earlier this year.

Yeah. Young Justice and Thundercats were both canceled / not renewed. Korra actually ended because Nick finishes their stories instead of tossing them off a cliff like other networks do.
Leave here forever.
I agree completely EXCEPT for Korra lol I have to agree with that one. It is very rare for me to be impressed with anything American and that show blew my mind completely. Avatar was awesome but Korra was less teen titans and more Nagi No asukara (beautiful) to me lol

Episode commentary is my favorite thing on anything. I'd love for a Pizzaface commentary, because I want to know what they were on while writing it!

Pssh, I would never diss the legendary classic Thundercats. :tlol: It's still very well remembered by people even today, it could rival OT TMNT imo! Such influence; respect!
I love the style of modern Thundercats too, maybe I should pick up that blu ray after all...

Screw stinken blue Rays, we've had to deal with two year waits for new episodes for crying out loud, than what the poor staff had to. It was messed up :x
Blue Ray was just one of those odd things Nick decided to randomly give us.

They're taking their sweet time. Time is money and they're running out if they keep this up imo.

What you need to understand is Korra is a totally different beast then Nick TMNT. Allow me to explain Legend of Korra is a kids show that kids really don't care about but it has a large amount of adult fans. Adults who have there own money and excess income. Adults who know what 1080p is adults who wont buy something if its not a full season set. Now Nick Ninja Turtles is a kids show that kids love and adult who aren't die hard fans of the whole property are just meh about. Kids who have to ask there parents to buy a dvd. Kids who don't know **** about 1080p or care if its a season set with commentary. Kids also have parents who want some peace and quite for an hour or two and don't want to pay to much to get it. Nick knows this and since they know they can put out a product with little effort and money put in there going to do it.
Infact look at the examples above Young Justice and Thundercats both shows had a pretty strong older fan base.

There's also the fact that kids aren't likely to be collectors, and why would mom and dad shell out for a full season hard copy of a tv show when they can rent it on netflix, or buy it on itunes?

You seem to disregard that tmnt have tonnes of adult fans as well. If they didn't, 2k12 won't be heavily influenced by OT, there won't be reissue of classic playmates figures, there won't be classic figures of OT and Bebop and Rocksteady, the new movie won't even be influenced by OT as well. But they did. :)
So yeah, that was way off. Think again.

I actually find the show to market to both audiences for both reasons. The single disc dvds market towards the kids and the collector's stuff markets towards the adults. Besides, most companies after they buy a highly-respected franchise would most likely do a whole lot of merchandising off of previous incarnations.

Bluray just isn't worth it. There's nothing really great about it. Instead of having to buy all this bluray junk and premium dvds why not save some stash and keep it simple?
