Subtitle Speculation

Most film sequels nowadays have a subtitle, like in the case of the similar in tone Transformers flicks. The TMNT also have their own history with the trend (Secret Of The Ooze) so it seems a given that Bayturtles 2 will have a secondary name. What do you think it will be? A nod could work, like the recent Nick-turtles game "Danger Of The Ooze". Bebop & Rocksteady are confirmed to appear, which suggests they will be the primary focus villain-wise, & mutagen may very well get its own plot-line like SOTO. So what do you think the subtitle will be?

The Foot Clan is in shambles since the arrest/disappearance of Oroku Saki and Eric Sachs, with Karai trying to lead one faction. Maybe some Purple Dragons for cannon fodder, and Casey Jones as one vigilante who initially butts heads with the Turtles but joins them. The Turtles feel compelled to try to quell the violence. Shredder comes back, mutates a rhino and a warthog to use as WMDs...

As nice as legit title speculation would be, that's surprisingly difficult to think up something that sounds good that might be plausible knowing the unpredictability of these film makers.

I wasn't directing that at him, or anyone specifically. I get that people wanna make jokes & that's cool but I'm almost shocked how quickly this turned into a "Let's continue to bash the film" thread. Obviously y'all know what side of the fence I'm on when it comes to the PD flick(s) but that doesn't mean I'm opposed to having objective discussion about aspects of the sequel & whatnot. I mean, we can't even guess what the title might be or make it into 2 pages of thread without it being riddled with nonsense... Y'all are funny, & I appreciate that, but it's really not helping anything.

Just play with it people... no need for mean spirited bashing or defensiveness. Jokey stuff isn't necessarily bashing. :P I'm all for hearing both the funny ones (because really, some elements have asked to be poked fun at :trazz:) as well as cool ones others come up with.

Right now, I can't even begin to imagine what the writers and whoever might be coming up with or what twists they're going to add, so what ever they come up with I doubt it will be a run of the mill name.

To be honest, as long as they leave Rise or Revenge or Return out of the title, all good.

I think the best thing Platinum Dunes can do regarding a sequel subtitle is to copy a pre-existing title from either one of the cartoons, comics, or video games.

After all, it's what Marvel Studios is doing for Captain America with "Winter Soldier" and "Civil War". Also "Age of Ultron" and "Infinity War." The studio doesn't have to 100% follow the original storyline to use its excellent title.
