Favorite Brotherly pairings?

I just finished the most recent episode, and I come to realize that I think the interactions that I enjoy most are Donnie and Mikey. Donnie always seems so annoyed by everything he does! and the way he shouts "MIKEY :x" lol

maybe I also like them is because they really represent the older bro/younger bro relationship i had with my brother when we were younger.

Leo and Raph. They might be competitive and argumentative, but their dynamic is a part of who they both are.

Not to mention amusing and relateable if you've ever dealt with sibling competition.

Leo and Donnie are my favorite pair.

Because they are like two equal parts of the same whole. And while both are skilled in their own ways as individuals, they are at there best when they work together. Take one away and the other loses the stability they would have other wise.


Leo's a tactician while Donnie is a strategist.

Leo believes in and follows tradition, Donnie believes and follows innovation.

It's hard for me to decide between Leo and Raph and Raph and Mikey, because they're both great for different reasons. I like how Raph tends to butt heads with Mikey, but is super protective of him when the situation calls for it. They're the perfect foil for each other. Leo and Raph also have a really good dynamic though, because even though they butt heads a lot, they're each the more sensible side of the other. Leo tries to keep Raph from acting instead of thinking, and Raph is the common sense component Leo when Leo's common sense fails him (as with Karai).

Leo and Raph win out, but not by much.

Mikey and Raph for sure. They have the best scenes when they're together! This was the case in 2K3, too (e.g. Turtle Titan & Tortoise Boy, Mikey with that Raph puppet in FF).

Donnie and Mikey a close second, however. Pity we don't see much of Leo and Donnie or Raph and Donnie or Leo and Mikey, for that matter.

I like Mikey and Raph a lot. I loved that scene when Raph and Mikey are hanging out in his room and they have forgotten they are there to look for the squirrel. They seem really close to me.

But...
I love Leo and Raph and have from the beginning of time. They are yin and yang and that will always be.

I would love to see more Raph and Donnie(which we get in the 2014 movie) and Mikey and Leo, although I feel that Leo thinks of Mikey as a child more than the others do.

I'd have to say Donnie and Mikey, just for the sheer left/right-brained dynamic of the two. I'd love to see more of Leo/Mikey, too, though.

leo and donnie, bcause, other than a few rare occassions, they trust each other. when leo gives an order, donnie follows, when donnie tells leo an idea or fact, leo believes it. they just seem in sync to me.

but, close seconds are leo and raph, just for the brotherly rivalry, and donnie and raph, probably one of the more rare pairings, brain and brawn

Favorite has always been Mikey/Raph because it seems to be at the cornerstone of what TMNT is, and I say that because they seem to have the same relationship in every iteration. It kind of goes beyond whether its tv, comics or movies. I love it.

Definitely want more Leo/Mikey though. I remember some of the best episodes of the 2k3 series was when the two of them teamed up. I loved when Leo trained Mikey for the Battle Nexus rematch.

I'm hoping that 2k12 will be the first one to establish a firm Raph/Donnie relationship, as that's one that's never really been done. I love their interactions in this show.

Mikey and Donnie, for sure. We haven't seen this pairing much after season one, but once they're together it's comedy gold (yes, imo even more than Raph and Mikey)

How do you see their relationship differing in the old toon from other incarnations?

I used to like Donnie and Mikey best, but when I read TMNT Mirage Vol. 1 #4 it really touched me. From then on it's been Mikey and Raph. :) Too bad that IDW gives them no real relationship.

Actually that's kind of frustrating. IDW needs to get on that. Even the 2014 movie did better.
