I watch fights, be they back yard, boxing or UFC matches. I'll search for a song I haven't heard to check it or the artist out. Sometimes movie previews. I like checking out Injustice and Street Fighter tournaments too.

Mostly just music videos, wrestling matches, and the occasional video game or movie trailer.

Honestly, almost everything else on YouTube just seems like a bunch of people who are desperate for attention playing "Look at me! I'm an internet celebrity!" Some stuff is funny but a lot of it has no need to exist.

Keep in mind, I'm not lumping in people who are genuinely creating and expressing themselves. I'm talking about people who post videos of themselves twerking, or stuff about their pets, or people jumping off a roof. Who caaaaaaaares. Stuff like that just gets on my nerves.

My wife used to make me watch Tosh.0 and Real TV and stuff like that, and it just made me wish I could track these people down and shoot them in the face. That's the kind of stuff I mean. And it's like 7/10s of the internet.

Cartoons like Gravity Falls and TMNT, some Brony vids and music, FN@F's theories, music videos, some fan animations (like Star Fox Bloopers and Sonic Shorts), AMVs, GMOD videos, prank calls, I'm going To Report You To Garry, and some trivia (Top 10s, Danger Dolan, Watch Mojo, etc.).

Live reactions, vintage cartoon episodes, wrestling shoot interviews, vintage wrestling segments and car-crash WCW moments, 80s and 90s music, 'shipping vids, lol-worthy internet "drama" (the Doctor Who fan war was a choice highlight of 2014)

I like watching Trisha Hershberger's "The Naked Truth". It's a really good blog series. I also enjoy Black Nerd Comedy, Liz Katz and a few other bloggers. Used to be a big fan of Philip DeFranco and SourceFed, though I got kind of sick of them after a while.

I watch mostly AVGN and video game related stuff.

All sorts of things. But mostly video game music, speedruns, sports highlights, funny videos, documentaries and interviews.

As for channels that I subscribe to, they mostly contain the sort of content I've listed above. To a name a few, I subscribe to Cinemassacre/AVGN, JourneymanPictures, VICE and a few news channels.

Youtube is addicting. If it wasn't for big companies asking them to take down videos all the time, it'd destroy the TV business. Pre-google acquisition, Youtube was full of complete anime, wrestling PPVs, movies and live action tv shows.

Primarily music videos, dancing videos (I like to watch people dance, what can I say), documentaries, tv shows.

I don't watch any "internet celebrity" sorts except for the occasional rant by The Angry Aussie when the mood strikes me, because, well, that guy is awesome.

Many of the things on my list are occasional binge watches that I've had in my subscriptions for years. The only YouTuber I actively keep up with is TamashiiHiroka.

Though, I probably do have more YouTube time than most, not denying that.

Well, first of all, it looks like it's 5 in the morning or something. Second, it seems to be a small back street. It's not like he's at the Louvre, the Champs-Élysées or in front of the Eiffel Tower. Not every single square meter in Paris is loaded with tourists, believe it or not.

I only watch a few game related channels like Cinemassacre, The Game Chasers, Retsupurae, Boogie2988. I watch a lot of maker/DIY stuff so I like Tested, this cool channel called BITY Mould Supply, and any neat looking links that appear on the side. I like Red Letter Media a lot as well, and recently have been binge watching Pixel Dan.

Some people rarely watch TV or movies. Internet video content replaces a lot of other media for some people.

Oh, forgot to mention another channel I watch. Smooth McGroove. Totally awesome! Here's an example...

iQ_r_TCDG58
I'm not judging, I'm just gonna say I have no idea how any of you have the time.Well, most of the Youtube folks put up new videos maybe once a week, so it's no different from turning on the TV to tune into a show every week.

For instance, I like watching "Game Theory". I think Mat puts up a new video every two weeks. Santoro does his top 10 or 50 lists once a week. Game Sack is a biweekly show as well. Game Sack is awesome...then again, I do have an interest in retro games, wishing I could've played most of the games they feature on their show when they were originally out or wish I would've had the opportunity to. I was an elementary school kid when they were like high-schoolers playing these games and their game collection is awesome.

AVGN...I just go to his site as opposed to Youtube, but he put up those James and Mike play videos once a week.

So yeah, it's easy to find time to watch some of these youtube videos, and usually "list" videos are short anyway.

This is true. My household doesn't even have cable. We exclusively watch Netflix, Youtube, and Hulu.

Mm, I wouldn't know because I stayed the hell away from anything Gamergate related. Still do. Not even going to dip my toes in that mess.

Yeah, I watch YouTube while I'm eating dinner (or breakfast on a weekend) instead of whatever crud they show on TV nowadays.

Re: Boogie. He says a lot of things; I don't need to agree with him, but he makes a lot of interesting content.

Yeah, good point. It's just legitimately hard for me to fully relate to other people's internet experiences since mine are so limited. My life is just so drastically different from everyone else's here, it seems. I don't mean anything by it at all, y'know? It's just I'm barely ever online as it is, there's periods where I'm not online at all for days or even weeks, and even then I feel like I'm on too much.

It's just genuinely hard for me to relate, I'm totally not judging. Plus, other than coming here, the internet isn't "fun" for me like it is for some people. Like I might watch "Honest Trailers" once a month for an hour. Some folks can do that every day. Cool, cool, I just could never do that myself.

Honest? Maybe it's the way I grew up, I'unno what it is, but... I literally feel like every second I spend online is "wasted time". Well... I'm always around people who flat-out say so, so maybe that's part of it. But like seriously, I always feel guilty when I'm online. Even at like 4am when there's not much else I'd be doing. ((Shrug))

People also watch youtube videos on their phone when they're outside or at work. So it doesn't "eat time at home" because you're watching youtube stuff when you're already out of the house.

Bored at work or you're sitting at a doctor's appointment? You can watch a youtube video. That way you still have time for videogames, TV or movies when you get home.

Leo656

Um yea, I'm basically a YouTube addict so even if I have my phone to watch videos, that doesn't satisfy my thirst for it when I get home. Plus to be honest, I kinda prefer watching on my laptop because I can do a whole lot more.

I don't watch youtube videos on my phone since free public wi-fi tends to suck and youtube videos quickly consume the whole month bandwith package of the phone internet.

I mostly use it outside to quickly check out the latest news, sports results or my facebook.

I haven't grown up playing most of the games he reviews except for TMNT, Top Gun II and the NES Simpsons games, but after trying some of them as an adult, I immediately found myself frustrated with the things he mentioned. He was spot on.
