SPOILER ALERTS (if you're like me and are behind, don't continue reading)
man, absolutely one of the best. at parts i forgot i was watching a cartoon. Leatherhead was awesome. Both scenes. So awesome that I'll say it again. Leatherhead was awesome. Holy balls.
The Irma reveal was dragged out and should've just taken 2-3 seconds for the best eye-popping effect, IMO. the audience is given more than enough time to figure out what's about to happen, and that ruins a great plot twist. either way, really makes me want an Irma figurine to display, especially if it's that Kraang Sub-Prime mech (is that what it called itself?)
and then there's the bad-assery of Leo, which was a reminder of why he's my favorite of the four. in just about every TMNT universe, he becomes an army of one that is eventually worn down and that's always a fun ride.
one missed opportunity was a return of Metal Head, who was last seen saving the day by staying in Dimension X.
i loved seeing the Party Wagon (i'll take one of those from Playmates too), but hated that April's dad is depicted as a worthless tool, and then gets zapped again. kinda makes previous episodes pointless.
i'm quite certain that the damages of the Kraang invasion are rectified quickly in Season 3.
my final thought was the weak ending scene where Serpent Karai saves Splinter. it should have just ended with him drifting underwater. that's what i'd call a great cliffhanger.
maybe we'll get lucky and Ice Cream Cat will somehow become Old Hob from IDW.
