Hi guys, I figured a thread like this would be useful to share some of the interesting forum experience we encountered since our first day here. You see, your member page only keeps track of your last 500 posts, so for people who have exceeded this post count, those older posts could be really difficult to trace or recall. Therefore, as my 500th post (yay I'm a Stone Warrior now) I would like to archive my forum history before I start losing them! After this, I'll probably do a second write-up when I reach my 1000th post, and so on.

Those of you who would like to do the same, or just want to share your forum experience here, you're all welcomed to post in this thread! I believe many of us here would love to hear 'em!

Alright, so I'll start... (SPOILERed as there's A LOT to cover)

I joined this forum on June 2014, the same weekend a local TV channel in my country (TV9) premiered the Nick TMNT cartoon. I signed up because I was so excited to share some clips that I recorded from our local airing, which was dubbed in Malay (my country's official main language). Therefore I created my first post (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1275673#post1275673) to do just that.

My second post (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1282980#post1282980) also happened to be the first time a mod edited my post! That was the week The Legend of Kuro Kabuto aired, though its digital release was already available the night before and I managed to watch it earlier than most people who would watch it live on TV. Apparently I posted information on the Bebob & Rocksteady speculation thread too early without using a spoiler tag. When I return to check the thread 2 hours later, well... I got scolded by Powder and my post was SPOILERed by Jester, of course.

That was around the same time several of the 2014 movie trailers were released and people in the Movie section were busy overanalyzing everything that was made available. I was one of those people looking into the Kanji character written on the turtles' shell/bandana and several of my following (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1291372#post1291372) posts (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1292015#post1292015) were speculating on those words used. I don't know Japanese, but knowing Chinese is good enough for me to get the characters right and look-up their literal meanings.

A little earlier, tinlunlau created a thread (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=47905) to announce that the Nick series has also premiered in Hong Kong and was dubbed in Cantonese. I was really excited about hearing the dub in another language I know, and he was kind enough to share some episodes with me. Later on, he also shared the Mandarin and Japanese dubs of the Nick series, which I truly appreciate. Eventually I went back to my first thread and added (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1317944#post1317944) the same clips as my first post, except this time with Cantonese, Mandarin and Japanese versions as well.

I was pretty much only lurking in the Nick section at that time, and was actively posting after SDCC 2014 was over. I posted some (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1313163#post1313163) stuffs (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1313193#post1313193) at the season 2 official thread, including a speculation (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1314016#post1314016) that turned out to be spot-on! I also posted in some (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1314030#post1314030) other (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1316744#post1316744) threads, and of course, the SDCC thread (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1314039#post1314039)! I posted the official TMNT SDCC poster for 2014 (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1316440#post1316440) and prior (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1316591#post1316591), Mondo Gecko's concept art (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1316705#post1316705), and Mirage TMNT #11 cover art (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1317183#post1317183).

August came and I went to Australia for a family vacation. I bought the complete season 1 DVD of the Nick series while I was there, and posted (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1330841#post1330841) about it. I also bought the season 2 v1 "Mutation Mayhem" and Turtles Forever DVD during the same trip, though I didn't post about it.

After the vacation, I was back home and the last few episode titles for season 2 were listed without any description, so I was speculating (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1333314#post1333314) the plot for A Chinatown Ghost Story and even made a dedicated thread (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=48942) for it. Eventually my speculation turned out to be completely wrong! But it was a nice try :trazz:

Next came my first try into making gifs, and then I was totally hooked! My first (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1334103#post1334103) few gifs were member gif requests, but eventually I just made them anyway whenever there's a new ep with lots of eye candies to adore, sometimes dozens of gifs per ep!

The next thing I did was combining Roseangelo's Turtles Forever Pre-Screening Recording (which was a mixture of TF's complete audio and the live audience response) with the actual video footage I ripped from my Australian TF DVD, so I could see what were the audience cheering on the screen. It took me a lot of time to sync the audio to the video, so I thought I'd share (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1339906#post1339906) what I made in the forum thread. Unfortunately Roseangelo responded to my post that I should take that video down, and so I did. It spurred quite some backlash from other forum members though.

There was a thread in the Nick section discussing who is the eldest/youngest turtle so I posted (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1344125#post1344125) my opinion there, along with screenshots from the show.

Later on, I got an opportunity to buy stuffs from US because one of my friend was travelling there and he was able to transport some stuff back for me. I decided to buy as many 4Kids DVD as I can afford from Amazon! Some of the volumes have sold out or skyrocketed in price by that time but I was fortunate to get a mixture of new and used sets within my means, of all available releases, except Turtles Against H.A.T.E. which was long extinct (even used sets were insanely priced). Since I made my research on what to buy already, I shared (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1347935#post1347935) my buying list/recommendation in the 4Kids DVD thread.

Admittedly I hadn't really posted a lot in Nick's episode discussion threads until The Invasion aired (actually, released online). Man, that episode left me speechless! The Mirage throwbacks were done so well, there was no way I could contain my excitement until I put all the side-by-side screenshots of the episode vs comic together and shared (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1352445#post1352445) it, of course! Funny thing is, so many people were confused/annoyed that the Mirage Leo I posted had blue bandana, although my intention for posting the blue-Leo version was to prevent confusion in the first place. The Invasion thread itself kept me busy for some time as I've had over 20 posts in that thread alone. It also spawned a new thread from me, also my first polling thread (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=49527)!

Soon after, Nick began airing season 3 and I was naturally posting a lot in the season 3 official info thread. I also started to post (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1361402#post1361402) more regularly in the episode discussion threads, although I'm sometimes late to the party as I couldn't watch the episodes live and Nick no longer put them on their site early.

Meanwhile, I was really proud of the moment my 4Kids DVDs arrived so I took a photo and shared (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1360753#post1360753) it in the 4Kids DVD thread!

Then came... NYCC 2014! The TMNT panel was scheduled on 10 October 2014 2pm at New York, which was 3am for me! Fortunately it was a Saturday so I could pull an all-nighter to follow the NYCC live stream at Twitch.tv. I was fully prepared: my HTPC was live streaming it on my 47" HDTV, while my laptop was on my lap (duh) allowing me to post live information to the forum. There were 3 opened tabs on my laptop's browser: the NYCC 2014 forum thread, the Twitch.tv page, and imgur; anytime a concept art is shown live, I'd immediately print screen, save the image, upload it to imgur, and post the image link back to the forum thread.

Did I mention my HTPC was also recording the video live? As soon as the panel was over, I was busy making gifs from the video I recorded and posting (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1362690#post1362690) them (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1362721#post1362721) to the forum. I also uploaded the entire video to youtube and shared (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1362926#post1362926) it (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1362927#post1362927) in the forum!
To be continued due to character limit reached...

At the end of the day, I also posted (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1363326#post1363326) a really useful summary of all the concept arts shown at both SDCC/NYCC into one convenient post within the season 3 official info thread. It served well as a one-stop reference for the rest of the season, as the concept arts slowly came to fruition in new episodes.

By the way, A Foot Too Big aired on the same day as the NYCC panel, and I just want to say that this episode meant A LOT to me. Donatello reminded me so much of myself! That opening scene where Donnie gave April the music box... I totally had that same experience before! I was acting exactly like Donnie did and the girl I was after reacted exactly like April did! It was just like watching my own past event from a third-person's view... so, while I notice there were many haters of this ep, it was one of my personal favorite. I posted (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1363378#post1363378) a lot in its discussion thread and even made (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1364170#post1364170) 60 gifs out of it!

Meanwhile I was actively participating in a few other threads too, such as those discussing Kraang Prime's gender (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1361385#post1361385) and 4Kids characters' age (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1363567#post1363567), the infamous Apritello thread (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1364224#post1364224) of course, the Usagi thread (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1368725#post1368725), the favorite Nick turtle thread (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1369992#post1369992), the 2014 movie OST thread (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1372220#post1372220) and almost all of the Nick Season 2 B (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1361265#post1361265)e (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1363333#post1363333)s (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1364684#post1364684)t (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1366442#post1366442) E (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1367844#post1367844)p (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1369134#post1369134)i (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1370481#post1370481)s (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1371764#post1371764)o (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1373080#post1373080)d (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1373837#post1373837)e (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1375006#post1375006) T (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1376391#post1376391)o (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1378307#post1378307)u (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1380029#post1380029)r (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1380367#post1380367)n (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1382499#post1382499)a (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1384313#post1384313)m (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1385796#post1385796)e (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1388236#post1388236)n (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1390849#post1390849)t (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1396727#post1396727) threads. I also created a new Behind The Scenes Video (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=49871) thread.

Towards the end of October, I was collabrating with TheSkeletonMan939 to make the first unofficial Nick TMNT soundtrack album. I helped extract the raw audio files from the DVD I owned and sent to him, while he did all the audio processing to filter and trim the music clips from each episode. By early November, the first 4 episodes were ready and an early preview was posted to the forum. The response from other members were excellent! While the thread derailed a little when Gunpowder was commenting about Shark_Blade's signature pic, an idea came to my mind (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1374605#post1374605) - it was perfect for the album art! So I began drafting it, starting with Shark_Blade's signature pic as the foreground and a honeycomb pattern I found from the internet as the background, and then adding the Nick TMNT logo etc. As soon as I'm done I posted (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1374730#post1374730) it back to the thread, and progressively improved (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1375094#post1375094) it based on feedbacks I got from the thread, as well as new ideas (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1375111#post1375111) from myself. The finished design was stunning and I'm glad people liked it!

Soon I was back to making gifs again, this time for the CG improvement thread (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1382950#post1382950). Also, this one (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1382674#post1382674) deserves an honorary mention because it's too funny!

I created my second poll (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=50284) to find out which Nick character would be prefered to be made recurring/regular. Unfortunately I forgot to include Kraang sub-prime, I would have voted it myself if I did! Shortly after that, I created my third poll (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=50381) to find out the most and least favorite 2014 movie turtle among the Dromers.

This thread (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1389240#post1389240) needs to be brought up simply because someone on Tumblr was talented enough to photoshop away Nick Raphael's bandana and it still looked realistic (it even looked quite official to me)! My best attempt at image manipulation was this (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1392877#post1392877), well... not bad for a nobody :trazz:

December was such a slow month for many of us due to the Nick series taking a long break right after Race With The Demon aired. Well, fortunately we got two unexpected gifts on Christmas eve: first (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1397967#post1397967) was a dedicated page on Nick's website streaming 20 episodes from the 2003 series for free, and second was a new trailer for Vision Quest/Return to New York, which spawned this thread (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1398020#post1398020). Everyone (me included) was super excited for those oncoming episodes!

Unfortunately, while people were cheering in the Nick section, the Movie section seems to be on fire, and the Everything Else section also had some controversial threads going on, which resulted in two relatively regular members (Coola Yagami and Davetello) being banned and the entire Movie section being frozen. I posted (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1402894#post1402894) in the Everything Else section because of this, and since then I actually started to take notice of the section more regularly. Eventually the Movie section was reopened with a separate sub-section for the PD reboot, but the two banned members are still MIA as of this writing.

Another section that I newly posted (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1404423#post1404423) at the time was the Comic section because I finally bought my fist TMNT book (The Works Volume 3)! Soon I was starting to follow the Archie (TMNT Adventures) comics as well and upon finding a very useful resource on an old Mirage website, I decided to start a new thread (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?t=50782) with 10 posts in a row to link every Archie issue to the respective page on the Mirage website. I'm glad it helped some people (including myself) keep up with the Archie story arcs, but the funniest thing that happened to that thread was... well this (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1408911#post1408911), it even triggered me to make a new gif for my very first signature!

Alright I thought I could avoid bringing this up, but for the record I did post in this thread (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1404882#post1404882) started by Irmafan. As people started assuming he was just trolling, he responded back that he was dead serious... well, if he really was...

http://i.imgur.com/WLs7QlQ.gif

Finally, the Nick series has returned from a 7-week break and resumed airing with Eyes of the Chimera, and thanks to Vicky82 I was able to watch it live via an online stream! I prepared like how I did for the NYCC panel again, with my eyes on the TV and fingers on my laptop and the episode discussion thread opened. For once I was posting (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1405006#post1405006) about the latest episode as soon as it aired, or sometimes (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1408403#post1408403) even while it was still halfway through or during (http://forums.thetechnodrome.com/showthread.php?p=1411160#post1411160) commercials.
Well, that's how I got to my 500th post! I truly enjoy being part of the forum for the past 8 months and I look forward to see you guys around!

^^ You can't seriously consider me joining to be a momentous event. :P

As far as my time here goes, I think the only thing that really sticks out in my mind thus far is The Great Movie Wars... that and some of the friendships I've made here, like Net (who was part of my reason for joining Tumblr, thus allowing me to continue to waste my life on the internet in a highly entertaining manner), and befriending Powder, whose posts I credit with the majority of my Turtles history knowledge (and who was one of the forum members who I already had a very high opinion of from back when I was a lurker and hadn't actually joined yet).

Other than that - I came, I saw, I posted a lot of sh*t... and I'll probably continue to do so.

Everyone has been really nice...I can have some pretty serious TMNT talkin' on here!
This post mostly goes to Mukouno, probably my best friend on here (age is just a number!) She's given me great advice, when I first joined in October I didn't even know how to post lol. Not just that though but life advice too. If you go on my account you'll see our conversations really long not gonna lie. We don't really talk anymore cause her internet started messing up, or I probably said something stupid xD Hey I'm 13 what do you expect? I'm already kinda socially awkward anyways  People say I'm mature and I know it's not true.
I hope when I get older I can go to visit my good friend in Germany. :tparty:

Really though, just pretty much all the drama that's already been mentioned, the movie section of course being one of the highlights. Lowlights?

Myself specifically, I don't even know anymore. If it limits it to 500 posts it keeps track of then my early ones are long gone.

Well I've been here for just over 5 years. If I remember correctly, I think my first post was in the Divide and Conquer thought thread. Either that or a thread I started about music in the first TMNT NES game that sounds like Come Together by the Beatles.

Last year I was posting about some problems from outside the Drome I was dealing with. I got plenty of good advice from Davetello (before he was banned), Bubblyshell22 Pennydreadful and many others and I'm doing better now because of their advice. I also made a lot of good friends in the Drome!

My post count is almost at 2,000 now!

I feel like us decade+ old people are like the "grandparents" of this forum now, especially with all these younger new users coming in now who would have been kids a decade ago when we joined as teenagers.

Really? I thought your post was going to be a really long one! Just post some of the memorable one's will do, like your well-known "this thread needs to be locked" quote, and that
Ciro incident?
Also, not all new members are "younger" as you thought, don't be fooled by my user name, I'm probably the same age as you (turning 30 this year)

When I begun on 11 January 2006, the tensions between Mirage Comics/4 Kids and Fred Wolf Studios were still going on. There were some discussions about them here by 2006 and 2007-early 2008.

I haven't been here very long at all, especially not when compared to a lot of other users...but even so, I've made some pretty worthwhile friends on here (one of whom is now banned and widely disliked). I've gotten some surprising friend requests, too. Other than that, I don't have a lot of particular "memories" worth mentioning. I don't think I've been here long enough.

Well let's see what I can recall... :D in no particular order.

I created my first thread, which only got like a few posts lol so it's in the dust.
introduced myself.
befriended some really cool peeps. Like TurtleTitan97, gobo, TheCandiandrome, ZanyOrangeDude, zKarlette, Luz Magica, Bauer536, BubblyShell22, etc... etc...
started playing in the RPG section with Creatures of the Night or something like that. It never got finished lol. Eventually started/joined many other RPGs. Days of the Turtles by Luigiperps was fun. It was three stories in one lol. Had some other RPGs, but they were sorry and meh. My longest RPG: A Lethal Lullaby Presentation aka Legion in New York was really fun, but eventually became chaotic, and lasted way longer than I anticipated. (Like over 4,000 posts). My current RPG- aSYLuM (2K12) is going along interesting lol, but it's almost over, which means I can hopefully start a new RPG I've been thinking about soon.
Slightly feared AT-Man, probably because of the creepy as heck mikey head as his avatar he used to have, but eventually befriended him. He's pretty cool I think.
Started to enjoy the occasional chaos in some sections. Occasionally look to see what's tossed in the Disentegrator Unit.
I used to be so good at wishing people happy birthday, but I feel I've slacked a bit. :ohwell:
Got more friends.
Won best new member award from Dromies.
changed my username a total of 3 times. Along with my prof pic, avatar, and sig numerous times.
got my boyfriend Hellsing to join the forums.
realized there's people I find more annoying then the ones I used to hate, but now like.

Well that's basically the jist of my memories here. It was interesting nonetheless.

There was one day in 2009 I just decided not to bother checking the Forums because I said "It's not like anything super important is gonna be on there today."

And... when I finally loaded up the site, I discovered that Laird had sold the franchise to Viacom! That event had a surprisingly dramatic (not quite traumatic) effect on me. More than I would have expected, certainly.

I've been here two years now, and in that time, I've seen the movie wars/mass banning, Dave's drama, and a lot of really weird threads by Cubed. Befriended LEo656, Pennydreadful, Netkeeper, and a few others. Have learned more about the TMNT (and some of my fellow Dromers) than I ever imagined.

Graduated college, started a career, got married, had a child, self-published four novels. That was what went down in my years-long hiatus between Technodrome accounts.

Yeah, I was busy. :tlol:

Joined, and made my first drome friend in Bauer536

defended the nick series

Joined a few rps

Got into quite a long debate with plastron cafe over female representation in the nick series

Defended the new movie

Made some more friends

Still defend the nick series

A large portion of my time here is spent defending the nick series :tlol:

And I would definitely like the dromies to be back, as i joined after they stopped

Joined this place *this is the first forum site that I've ever joined*, made a few friends here and still enjoy reading posts from them and quite a few dromers here, got to be part of an adult section, and still enjoy being here to this day.

I've been here a little over a week and am already making memories. I don't think I'll be forgetting the day that Super Goku flipped out over Fox's Animation Domination. Calling for a boycott because he found them offensive.

That's small stuff round these parts, snowflake. Nobody even told anyone to kill themselves, or called anyone a "Catch U Next Tuesday". Altogether this particular flare-up was pretty inconsequential.

Aww man the fan made TMNT1 was pretty sweet.
Redesign challenges.
Sold my first TMNT memorabilia on this site.
We saw the last days of ninjaturtles.com

I think I've been temp banned about five times since joining here twelve or so years ago, all for the occasional burst of trolling. None of it was ever really meant though, just me d*cking about. I love and appreciate most of you guys

I remember picking up some weird Dromie awards on here.:D

These days I mainly just keep to the off-topic forums. I feel I've steadily outgrown the franchise these last few years, don't care for the Nick show at all, cared for the movie even less, but this place is always going to be a draw based on the variety in the attitudes of the community.
