Now is the time for some TMNT confessions! Things you missed, hated, or secretly loved. For me, I will admit to a horrifying thing. When I first saw TMNT, it was at my grandma's house. It was the only thing on, so I shrugged and watched. And I hated it. I thought it was stupid. I hated it so much I preferred going to bed instead of finishing the first episode. Later at my house, the 3rd episode was on, and my brother wanted to watch it. By the end of the episode, I admitted liking it. By the 4th episode, I was a hooked fangirl. Hehe :)

Well, while I consider this particular cartoon very charming and over all likable, I think the story is pretty lame, the pacing tends to burn out, several plot points are repeated, it feels rather directionless, the characters don't seem to grow much, the comedy can be a little annoying at times and I'm not so sure butt-cannons, ice cream kitties and pizza-monsters really belong in the show that also has body horror and backstories involving murder and kidnappings...
At first I was like "Oh, God this is so stupid".
"Anime is way better".
And even though I love anime, I now respect the show and it's anime influence!

Being a fan of TMNT as a kid, I made sure to catch the first episode of this show when it premiered. I thought it was cute, but I wasn't interested enough to keep watching it- especially after I saw promos like "Who's more stupid- Patrick or Mikey?"
After the Bay movie got me into Turtles again (it was good for something ) I marathoned the show and really enjoyed it. Now I'm obsessed with TMNT again.

Uh, my confession is that I wish they hadn't mutated Steranko/Rocksteady yet, because I think he's super hot as a human.
Seriously, look at those cheekbones! That jawline! Those shoulders! :D

I'm a big fan of the 80s / 90s TMNT stuff.
