The Synopsis of this episode
Leo is suspicious when Slash emerges leading a team called the Mighty Mutanimals; the Turtles must brave the bizarre world of Dimension X to save the enslaved people of New York.
Slash was a member of the original Mighty Mutanimals comic and is currently one of the Members of the new Mutanimals of the IDW miniseries.
I wonder who the members of this team will be on the show, Apparently Slash is leading this team, And there are a couple of good mutants that can be a part of it. I wouldn't be surprise if we see Leatherhead and Mondo Gecko, Or Pigeon Pete, Whose currently a member of the IDW version, Or even Sir Malachi.
I bet this episode, Will be our introduction to Mondo Gecko, He's been a part of the team since the Archie comic and currently in the IDW version.

I'd say it's most assuredly a safe bet that the introduction to Mondo Gecko at the very least will be a part of the episode for sure. *nods*

Yeah and hopefully they explain his origin, It'll be Slash introducing his team, And he introduces Mondo Gecko, and I bet Mikey and Mondo Gecko look at each other, and smile, When both realize, They are very much like each other.

I'm hoping to see Snakeweed again, he's actually one of my favorite mutants on this show. Spider Bytez not so much...but it'd still be interesting to see him with everyone else.

Mondo Gecko isn't due to be introduced until episode 17.
Leo being suspicious of Slash is natural since he had nearly killed Donnie and Mikey in Slash and Destroy. And even though Slash walked away a good guy at the end of neutralized, it's not like they all conveniently forgot what he did.

but it makes you wonder, What mutants did he brought along with him, I doubt the Neutralizer would be part of the team, He tried to wipe out the Humans, Which is what lead to Slash turning against him, And he does not want to harm humans.

Slash was an ally of the Mutanimals but not a full-fledged member.

Actually Neutralizer was gunning for the Kraang, he just didn't care about the innocent people who were killed in the process.
I would say Rockwell would be one of them.
Spiderbitez I don't know. I mean he's not really a bad guy but he isn't exactly one of the good guys either. He's more out for himself then anyone else.
Pete the pigeon man
All of these guys are not really friends of the Turtles, but they aren't exactly enemies either.
Malachi maybe he felt more like a throw away character.
Mondo Gecko and Leatherhead show up in the opening, so I can see them together. So like maybe Mikey is looking for leather head he runs into Mondo and Mikey says who he's looking for and Mondo's like "Oh you're looking for the old timer."

Well, I definitely think Leatherhead may be part of the group as well as Pigeon Pete and possibly Rockwell. I'd love to see Mondo in the mix, but maybe he just doesn't get a proper episode until seventeen where we'll learn more about him. I'd also like to see Malachi as part of the crew as well.

My money's on Spiderbytes and maybe Newtralizer.

But Newtralizer and Slash had issues, so I don't know if that would happen. Spyderbitez could be a possibility though, but he did seem selfish for the most part.

What about Monkey Brains? I know he's not IDW but I think he was one of the background mutants captured and brought to Dimension X in the Metalhead episode. He's humanoid enough (and sort of emotionally telepathic) to hate the Kraang.

Yeah, he's a good choice too. It's possible we might see Mutagen Man or Ray Fillet also.

I be surprise if, Slash shows up with a bunch of new Mutants we haven't seen, considering we all have seen every mutant that has shown up since Season 1, And we all seen the concept art for them, Are the shows creator's hiding some as a surprise to the fans?

Maybe Dreadmon, Jagwaur, and Ray, but I honestly don't expect anyone new. Either way, it'll be cool to see some returning characters.

There is also Minae Noji, Who did a voice for a character on the show, We just don't know who. Perhaps shes voicing a female mutant? Could it be Mona Lisa, Ninjara or even Alopex? Who knows.

I can't imagine the Mutanimals team having too many members with unique voice actors. I think the voice actor's union ( SAG-AFTRA, maybe?) requires a higher fee by the studios when the number of voice actors on a single episode exceeds a certain number.
Honestly, it's all a little fuzzy in my head, but that's the reason why some cartoons with ensemble casts don't feature every character (or at least give them speaking parts) in every episode of a series.
Hence, I'd guess some of the members will have non-speaking parts or else be "Frank Welker" type voices that includes a lot of grunts and growls.

Yeah most likely most of the mutants won't have speaking roles. Spiderbitez especially won't have his VA so they'll probably just grunt.

They won't have speaking roles til later episodes, Remember when The Newtralizer first showed up, We never heard him talk, Til a later episode.

According to 1987 cat interviews it was a maximum of three different characters per actor. This will include one scene background characters who have a line or two but as you say Welker's wolf howls would not count towards the limit of 3 without a higher wage per episode recording.

Why you gotta act like you know everything?
Remember the episode where Baxter Stockman as a fly only made buzzing sounds and didn't speak, even when Fishface asked him something?
I remember later Ciro said they can only use a certain number of voice actors per episode, and since Baxter had the least lines in that episode they just gave him buzzing sounds instead of using his VA. In the next episode Baxter was in he spoke normally with no problem.
You see this in other shows all the time that have a huge cast of characters. Some of them just stand in the background without speaking roles, even if they're fighting or part of the action. Its so the writers can "show that those characters are there" but they don't give them any voice roles.

A number the actors are not just a random stable of voices they have on the nick lot. And some of the voices they have can't be their on a regular basis. So if Phil Lamar can't come in to record an episode, then they have Baxter Stockman just make buzzing noises. Which would make sense as he is sort of losing his mind.
Louis Black of the voice of Spiderbites as an A-List comedian so odds are they can only bring him in the few times they really feel the need to use Spiderbitez. If he is part of the Mutanimals then yes they would likely did what they did the last time they had snakeweed on the show and just have him not speak.
However Spiderbites and Snake weed aren't really evil so other then blaming the turtles for their mutations they are more selfish then villainous. But then again TMNT has had its share of villains that appear once just fade into non-existence.
Which could the case of these two as we know Snakeweed was kidnapping people to turn them into fertilizer. And while they were hinting his heart is what could due him in, it is possible that with out access to human fertilizer he just withered away to nothing. Same with Spiderbites, we don't know what he survives on, though I can see Stockman crapping his pants in fright at the idea of a giant mutant Spider.

Back in the OT's time yes it was cheaper to have the main voice cast to do more then one voice character in an episode or the show itself.
Such as Cam Clark being the Voice of Leonardo/Rocksteady and extra voices.
Barry Gordan again Voice of Donatello/Bebop and extra voices.
Rob Paulson was voice of Raph/Zack/ Donald J. Lofty and extra voices
Townsend Colman Mikey/Krang (on one occasion)/ and Shredder and extra voices.
This is also something that's done to an extent as well, though less with a main cast group. Such as Eric Bowza playing the voice of both Tiger Claw and Hun. But even then this is done sparingly unless the voice actor has the chops to do more then one voice.
Such as Seth McFarland being the voice of half the cast on Family Guy.
Chris Sabat being a number of voices on DBZ.
Heck if you watch Bleach you can make a drinking game out of trying to find characters and extras who are voiced by Vic Mignogna.

So.....the Mutanimals in the Nick series are:
Slash (IDW and Archie - honerary)
Leatherhead (Archie)
Pigeon Pete (IDW)
And Dr. Monkey Brains Rockwell (Just Nick)
Odd that they seem like a blending off all the Mutanimals (er...both) teams...aside from Rockwell.
Now if only we could get MORE Archie elements. :D

Next Sunday, as of the 8th of March, 2015, the turtles are taking New York back from the Kraang! And what is this? Slash, Leatherhead (whoop), Monkey Brains/Dr. Rockwell, and Pigeon Pete are returning and are a team called the Mighty Mutanimals! All we need now is Newtralizer, please.

So who wants to bet Napoleon Bonafrog comes back and joins the Mutanimals, as well as Mondo Gecko when he comes?
I'm surprised we didn't see Spiderbitez since he was another "good" mutant who has no reason to be evil.

I didn't care for Napoleon in the least, so they can keep him. Genghis was by far and large the more interesting character. I'm certain that Mondo Gecko will join up, he seems to be a consistent member, similar to Leatherhead. I would love to see Ray Fillet join up at some point, though I don't ever expect to see Jagwar or Dreadmon in any version of TMNT ever again.

We definitely need Wingnut/Screwloose and Man Ray now at least, the Mutanimals always feels not complete without them around. I'm sure Nick's Mondo Gecko will join their team as well.
Its funny how Jaguar and Dreadmon are pretty much being ignored by IDW and Nick, probably because they never had toys and were Archie only.

So thoughts on new members joining the Mutanimals?
I think we can safely say:
- Mondo Gecko will join the team either in his debut episode or later on, he's a staple of the Mutanimals
- Napoleon Bonafrog will come back solo (without the other frogs), and he'll join them.
- Spiderbitez will probably join, assuming they can get his voice actor to reprise his role.
Lastly I'm now betting we'll see Wingnut/Screwloose and Man Ray at least show up at some point, most likely joining the team.

When will Armaggon appear? That is the main thing I have wanted incorporated into another version. It would be cool if the Shredder/Vid Victus plot was picked up as well.
OMW, I wish I could direct you right to it but its one thing I strongly took away from an interview, I think it was Talkin Toons that stated the reason they did more than just their main character was because they were hired because they could do multiple voiced and save cost of production that way as the labor agreement was 3 voice per actor maximum. I do not know specifics beyond that.
