View Full Version : Does anyone hate it when you wake up late on the weekends?

For example the last couple of weekends I don't wake up till noon, and it really bothers me when I look at the clock and its 12pm already. Its like, "Damn, I just wasted my whole morning sleeping!" and you don't get those hours back because you go to sleep at the same time every night.
When you have a job you can't let your internal clock get messed up, so you go to sleep the same time every day even on weekends so you're not messed up the next work day. Sometimes I did purposely stay up late and then the next day at work was horrible because I could barely keep my eyes open.
Its sad really. Every Friday and Saturday night I like staying up late but then I hate it when the next morning I don't wake up till 12pm and feel like I wasted my whole morning.

Hate it? Heck no, it's the only time I get to just sleep in and lounge around. Plus, I love curling up under the covers especially when it's cold, and I know I don't have anything important to do.

I work 6pm to 6 am....my sleep schedule is chronically screwed up. For me, sleeping until noon is getting too little sleep. :P

God no, I'm a night owl and tend to stay up late, rarely go to bed/sleep at the same time. Not really a morning person and don't care much if I miss it.
Stayed up particularly long last night... woke up at 1pm. Regret nothing. :tlol: My only worry is oversleeping tomorrow and missing TMNT. Esp with the clocks changing tonight.

I have to wake up at 5:30 every morning for work. If I sleep til 6:30 or 7:00 on the weekend it's a treat.
But I would be mad if I slept until noon.

I enjoy sleeping as long as humanly possible on the weekends. Those are my two mornings to recharge.
What I hate is when I'm woken up early on the weekend and can't get back to sleep. Which happens... often.

Hm, usually if I wake up early and can't fall asleep again I just get up instantly for the day. Its actually better than an alarm clock.
The trick is to think of something that makes you really angry and you won't be able to go back to sleep, and that'll get you up. I remember waking up on weekends at like 8am just because I thought about random things that annoyed me so I got up.

I woke up at 12pm today and felt the same thing. It sucks.I just woke up, 12:00. I felt the same. I have a lot of stuff to do since I have to move out by March 31 as that's when I'm being kicked out and this apartment is embarrassingly a mess. lol. I already slept half the day away.
But my problem is that I don't sleep the same time everyday because of my inconsistent work hours. For example, on Saturdays, I start work at 10:00 and finish at maybe 7:00 and leave between 7:30 and 8:00. The rest of the week; I can start as early as 11:00, but my end time is always 9:00 and I leave between 9:30 and 10:00, eat dinner close to 11:00 and force myself to stay awake after. See the issue?

I wake up at 4:40 am Saturday-Sunday. And 8:40 am every other day, including my off days. This is the last week of this schedule though. Next week I'll be working 12 am to 8 am. So I'll be sleeping by 8pm till about 10 or 10:30 pm.

Nope because I don't sleep in until noon. I get up at seven every morning and don't intend on changing that anytime soon. I did get up about seven thirty today due to the time change and the fact that my mom wasn't even up yet.

I would definitely hate waking up late on the weekends. That means I'm late for work! Yes. I unfortunately work every weekend. It's been like that for the past 9 years. Don't cry for me; I'm already dead...

I rely on my medication to get to sleep, but I'll still wake up periodically at night, though only for a few minutes.

This. 8am feels like a long lie...
I'm usually riding high on 5-6 hours of sleep on the weeknights, so sleeping in later on the weekend is welcome and often necessary. But I can't usually sleep in that late at all anymore - I'm a natural night owl, but I've got an 8:30-4:30 job and I've had to adjust to that schedule.

I love sleeping in on the Weekends.....but I do hate it when it's super late.
I feel like 10:00am is too late of a sleep in.
