Hi i've been dearly departed for a while now and let me tell you being a ghost is fun but heaven had nowhere to skate and nothing to drink. LOL But Seriously I'm back for a bit because i had to make sure everyone heard this news. Rhino has a poll at their website for toons you want on dvd and guess whats on the list TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES! Now i don't know bout the other guys who were gunna put them out next year but i've heard good things about Rhino and i've much rather have them do so to everyone who wants the old shoiw back on dvd please go to Rhino.Com and vote because we gotta get them out on dvd. I don't know bout everything else but its upsetting to me that the new show is out way before this so lets something about it now and get them out.

And Hi to everyone as well Hope Everyones doing Great!!!

From Your Friendly Neighbourhood Gecko

I hope I don't get flamed, but I voted for Tranformers instead of TMNT on the poll.....I'd be much more likely to but Tranformers......

They have Beast Wars ones, but that's all I know of.

no, the old TF is out on DVD, I saw it last week at FYE here. There were 3 diffrent discs.

I voted for the old TMNT... I't be nice to be able to see all of the eps i know i missed (specially the last few seasons).

edit: oh yeah, sorry, welcome back ^_^. how've you been mondo?

I don't know bout everything else but its upsetting to me that the new show is out way before thisPersonally, I think it makes more sense considering the return of Turtlemania, so they want to market it as soon as possible, plus it makes more sense to get it out on DVD NOW while the show is still in sequence. It's giving the new show the chance the original one never had when it first came out (releasing EVERY episode that's been aired so far, as opposed to a few out-of-sequence VHS tapes almost randomly scattered about.

Don't get me wrong, I long for the day that original toon comes out in full on DVD as much as you do, so I'm going to vote for TMNT.

Well, after checking out that site, not only did I NOT find the poll, but from the looks of it, Rhino seems more like a mere distributor than manufacturer. The poll sounds more like a simple opinion poll, nothing more.

Yeah, and since the DVD has already been confirmed I wonder how much good that would do. Artisan has done some really good DVD releases, like Terminator 2: Ultimate and Extreme editions, so one would think they could make a decent TMNT DVD too.

..Don't they already have the Transformers DVDs? I can recall seeing them at HMV.
G1 season 1 and G1 season 2 parts 1 and 2 are out
G1 season 3 is coming
Beast Wars season 1 should also be out, but I have yet to see the box set
no clue about the other Tf series'

And Rhino doing Turtles is fine with me

This is great! Rhino is actually thinking of putting out TMNT DVD's! I guess TF and GI-Joe sold well. This is likely the best chance for season sets.

Since He-Man and Tcats are on that poll as well... I suspect Rhino is thinking of buying the rights to all of Hallmark/Artisans owned animated series INCLUDING TMNT! My prayers have been answered!

Karpo_007
09-06-2003, 01:03 PM
So Rhino does publish DVD's? If thats true and they are thinking about buing the rights for artisan, Then there is hope for a decent DVD release after all.

Hopefully TMNT will win the poll then. I'd love to have the first season on DVD, UNCUT.

I'd rather have seasons 1 AND 2 UNCUT (sad that even a kids show in America needed editing on some channels...) in a single box set. Then if that sells well they could do season 3 and so on in boxsets for seasons or half seasons in some cases.

Welcome back, guy I could hardly even say I've ever even heard of before! Interesting and quite exciting news you've inspired here. If those ARE the choices, that means that Rhino is thinking about buying the FHE label away from Artison. That would be a wonderful move since Artisan hasn't done shizlets with ANYTHING FHE-related yet. I promote this move if it's a possibility if Artisan's reps want to be so snobby when I attempt to help find out about the missing scripts/eps for them. Talk about unappreciative! Maybe I'd actually regain some reason to want to help out again. BTW, Artisan said The Epic Begins would be first in Fall '04. Anyhow, WB, dood!

Man.. it seems like alot old members are coming back. I guess going back to school is a good thing after all! :P

But hay.. I think it'd be great if Rhino made TMNT toons as well. I was thinking, after watching the TF movie the other day, that the Rhino character reminded me so much like Rocksteady.

Hey awhile back karpo said that the TMNT DVDs were confirmed? Is that true? And if there already confirmed then who gives a crap about the polls?

Anyway I voted and it looks like the TMNT are tied for third but thundercats almost have 100 over us, come on!

Gah I will so NOT be buying this piece of junk.

Besides will the whole first season even make sense if it's edited that much? No doubt Epic Begins will have the best bits cut too.

Thats the only VHs of the first season we got over here, and It was the tape I rewatched the most. It isn't really bad, but I'm not wasting my money on edited DVD.

Well personaly I prefer BOH... And already voted for it... But considering how short it is & how small of a fanbase it would prbably not win... :(

11-02-2003, 07:44 AM
We need TMNT season box sets of the old show. It should include every episode with any deleted scenes added. These dvds must be made right or not made at all. These would sell like hotcakes, so someone must make them right. So Artisan, make the TMNT dvds right or just back off and let Rhino or another company release them.

raphael90
11-05-2003, 01:18 AM
Aw man...all they're releasing is that awful "Epic Begins" on DVD? Shoot...that was horrible, all sorts of good scenes edited out...but you all know that. Yeah, I want the seasons on DVD, would be way better than the inidividual tapes out there with only two eps per video.

J Legault
11-06-2003, 08:23 AM
Not sure if a Cutted out DVD would be worth getting.

5 full episodes aren't easy are they.
