Anyhoo, this rp is where Will meets Jack's cousin Cheryldeen. He runs into her in the street, as she runs from the guards, and he sees the Sparrow tatoo on her right arm. As she scurries off into the crowd, Will makes it his mission to find the girl and figure out WHY she has the Sparrow tattoo.
So....who's in this other than us? We need someone to play Jack... :P

but the makeup on depp only made him look more like a chick then he already does and that creeped me out

pirates never interested me either....the whole swashbuckling yo-ho-ho and a bottle of rum crap really gets on my nerves

A guard yelled, as a twenty-nine year old girl in a white shirt tucked into a pair of black pants with black boots on her feet, ran with her brown hair flowing behind her in the wind freely. Her crow choker necklace caught some sun as she rounded the corner, and she chuckled. "...get her!" "Oh, thanks just the same boys.." She said, as her black crow Callahan landed on her shoulder and ruffled his feathers. "...but, I've got a ship to catch!" She then disappeared into the crowd, not seeing Will step in her path!! "OOMPH!!" She grunted, as the two hit the street. "...sorry about that." Will then saw the Sparrow tattoo on her right arm.

The guards ran up to will and asked him where she went. He pointed in the opposite direction. "That way."

Cheryldeen then poked her head out from the alley where she and Callahan hid and raised an eyebrow as she hid again. "Did you see that, Callahan?" She softly said, as the bird rufffled his feathers and caws. "...he just lied to the guards and showed them that I went off in the other direction." She then went silent when a shadow neared the alley.

She never found them but instead found herself moving about from temple to temple learning all that they would teach her until she found herself in Singapore. No she did not meet Jack. A few months before the East India Company caught Jack in Singapore, she was accepted as a member of a Spice Trader ship called the Dove which was Captain by Captain Deonne Wilson. She stayed with them a few years before finally comeing to the Caribbean. Long story short. Ship attacked by Black Pearl and Reye left to survive on her own in Tortuga until she finally got her way to Port Royale THat was half a year before Jack finally got his beloved ship back... Reye tried to ignore the obvious hub-bub happening down the street from where she stood but it was rather hard when the comotion was drawing away her already small audience. Annoyed, she put away her Violin and collected what little money she had earned and made her way down the street. She might as well see what was going on. She watched Redcoats asked where some one went and the man told them. As the Redcoats walked away, she went up to the man (Will), "Sorry to be a bother, but what exactly goin' on?"

The sky above roared as a light broke through the clouds and shot out a bright beam towards the ground

"aaaaaaaaaaHHHHHHHH!!!"

Stryker fell out of the sky and landed on the ground Hard

"crap.....where the hell am i now?"

A Sword with a dragon design on the handle then fell out of the sky as well, stryker caught it easily and continued to look around at his surroundings

"....as long as its better then the last place..."

Stryker then took off a embroided symbol "X" and placed it in his pocket

Cheryldeen then walked out of the alley, Callahan cawing softly, as she walked to the shipyard, sighing as she passed Stryker and paused...then walked on. "Now then...where did my ship go off to?" She sighed, glancing about.

[The Stryker]

Stryker looked at cheryldeen

"Hey...do you know where um...this place is?"

[Mars-Chan]

Cheryldeen then yelped and leapt as Callahan cawed at Stryker. "Don't do that! You scared me crow!!" She said, stroking the bird to calm him down. "...you're here, stranger."

[The Stryker]

"oooook....can you atleast answer this?...have you seen any strange activity?...like some black shadow creatures anywhere at all?"

Stryker's face was full of curiosity and worry

((Place: Port Royale, Jamaica.
Time: Late 1600s or early 1700s if you go by history. Most likely 1715 or some time in there because Port Royale is ransacked by hurrican's and earth quakes and virtually is non-exiistant after 1722... surviving only as a small fishing town after that.

It was unfortunate for Reye that she whitnessed the man falling from the sky as soon as Will walked away. She muttered hebrew prayers to herself and hurried over. Was he an angel of some sort? A fallen angel?

"You are in Port Royale." She said, coming up behind the two, "Jamaica... in British teritory." She looked Stryker up and down, muttering something else in hebrew before looking to Cheryldeen. "You are the one they are looking for, yes? You might not want to stay here long, Norrington's men will figure out that they've been tricked and will be coming this way." After a thought, she added, "You have a ship, no? I can help you escape... for a price." Before the woman could ask what it was, Reye said, "Take me with you."

[The Stryker]

"....great....from that goddamn xavier place to this....im just moving DOWN the ladder of world progress"

Stryker then sighed and went back to his question

"so...any suspicious activity? besides....*looks around*.....the evil burden of technology? shadow creatures with glowing yellow eyes?....anything?

[Mars-Chan]

"Not that I know of." Cheryldeen said, shaking her head. "...of course, I've been so busy running away from Norrington and his goons, I haven't had the chance to look." She then chuckled softly, and turned to Reye. "So...why should I take you with me?"

[The Stryker]

Stryker sighed as he looked around his surroundings again

He spotted one of the creatures rising from the ground in a alley

"....crap.."

"Hey...girls?...*points to the creature*....those are the things i was talking about"

[Jade Green]

Reye was about to reply to the womans question about why she should take Reye with her when the odd man said something about 'the creatures he was talking about'; she turned about, and seeing the beast in question, immediatly launched one of her throwing daggers at it.

((OOC: Stryker, please don't get mad at this, its only one... and it'll 'prove' her point to Miss Sparrow :) ))

The dagger hit its mark, in the center of the beasts chest where its heart should be...

((I'm not going to say what happens, since that's Stryker's department))

[The Stryker]

The dagger hit perfectly but the creature continued to walk towards the group

"...these things are made from pure darkness...they have no hearts..and they can multiply from 1 to 26 in three seconds so you two better get running"

Stryker's sword then glowed brightly as it changed so the blade had a angel design on it

"theres something bigger at the works here....and just by telling you that im putting you in danger"

[Mars-Chan]

"Bugger...." Cheryldeen muttered under her breath as she pulled out a golden hilted Samurai sword, with ancient writing on it. "....and I thought this place was weird..."

[The Stryker]

The creature rushed towards stryker, knowing who he was in a way

Stryker twisted around and dodged the creature's tackle but before it could continue through the air and hit one of the girl's he used his sword and sliced throught the creature's midsection

The two now separated parts disintegrated in the air

"we better get moving and find the core of this place...before they destroy this world as well..."

[Mars-Chan]

"We can call sanctuary on my ship..." Cheryldeen said, putting up her sword. "...the Sea Kurt. Come on!" She then nodded for the two to follow her as she lead the way to her ship.
((OOC: YES, you read that right...the Sea KURT. :wink: ))

[The Stryker]

"Boat?....you don't happen to know a guy named Peter...do you?"

[Mars-Chan]

"Name doesn't ring a bell." Cheryldeen said, running up the ramp to her ship. "...welcome aboard, friends."

"hm...bell...."

Stryker's sword then disappeared in a flash of light as he walked up the ramp to the ship

Things were getting wierder by the moment... at least Reye was able to retreave her dagger... she put it with the rest lined up on her belt and fiddled with her sword... I sword she had borrowed*ahem*with-no-plans-of-returning*ahem* from Smith Brown. "Interesting name, the Sea Kurt..."

Will looked out the window of his blacksmith shop, and noticed a ship he hadn't seen docked before. "Hmmm, that's weird."

"Just as soon as I raise the flag..." Cheryldeen said, grunting as she tugged on the ropes attached to the flag. "...we can set sail. Can someone give me a hand here?"

[Jade Green]

Reye snatched the ropes and pulled gruffly on them, helping Cheryldeen raise up the flag. As soon as it was up, she tied it diligently into place

"Thanks." Cheryldeen said, as she nodded a thanks. "...we set sail for wherever the wind may take us...unless one of you has a specific destination..."

[The Stryker]

Stryker sighed

"....you gals don't know where the exact center of the world is?"

Stryker then sighed again and lays his head in his arms on one side of the boat

"renee.....where are you?"

"Yeah, its called the equator." Reye replied to Stryker. "...why?"

"thats the only place where i can possibly find the way out of this world....and find renee..."

Stryker remembered all the past events and just looked back out at sea

"Okay...." Cheryldeen said, turning the wheel on her ship. "...to the equator it is." After what seemed like hours of sailing, Cheryldeen put Reye in charge of sailing to the equator and walked by herself to her cabin.
The door then slammed shut and she was pinned to a wall and heard a gravely voice hiss out: "You don't believe in ghosts, eh? Well, start believing...because you're about to BECOME one!"

Before the dark form could run the poor girl through, a small dagger stabbed her assailant in the arm. "Bloody pirates!" Jack Sparrow scowled. "You never know when they'll mutinee!"

[Mars-Chan]

"Jack...?" Cheryldeen asked, as she moved forward slightly so he could see her in the light. "...is that you?" Her Sparrow tattoo seemed to hit the light just right so Jack could spot it. "I haven't seen you in a while!" She said, almost hugging him, but turning away. "....not that I CARE or anything..."

[Jephael]

"Sorry about not keeping in touch, my dear! But I've been very busy persuing the Black Pearl the last decade or so." Jack explained as he opened his arms up for a hug.

[Mars-Chan]

"The fabled Black Pearl?" Cheryl asked, as she turned to face him. "...practically no one can steal...ahem...COMMANDEER that ship. Well, I guess I COULD hug my cousin...for the heck of it. :P " She then walked over to give her cousin a hug, when the one who had pinned her to the wall rose up and took the knife out of his arm...with no blood on it. Cheryldeen then leapt behind her cousin as the voice hissed: "Ye shall not meddle in my mission, Sparrow! The girl dies!" "I don't wanna die!" Cheryl whimpered pathetically. "...I'm too young to die!"

[Jephael]

A dirty smirk came over Jack as he eyed the large gash he made in the pirate's arm. "Aren't you forgetting something?" he said as he poked his sword right into the flesh wound. "You mess with Jack Sparrow, and you get more than pain!" he spoke as the attacker howled in pain.

Cheryl whimpered as she watched Jack fight the pirate when the next thing she saw was her feet leaving the window and feeling a boat under her back. "JACK!!!"She yelled out, as the boat then rowed away. "...Ja..JACK!!! HELP ME!!!!!!!"

[Jephael]

Jack elbowed the first pirate in the face, knocking him out cold and leaped through the window his cousin had been pulled through and began swimming towards the boat she had been taken abord on.

[Mars-Chan]

"Let me go, you bloody pirate!" Cheryldeen growled, as the captor held her down on the boat. "...let me go!! I swear I will....AGH!! LET ME GO!!!!" Cheryl then fought, as best as she could, but whimpered when a knife was held to her throat.

[Jephael]

"Hey mate, you wanna get that bloody pen away from my cousin?" Jack spoke as he climbed aboard the small boat, staring down the captures.

[Mars-Chan]

"Jack..." Cheryl whimpered, as the captor pressed the knife so close to her throat that she whimpered loudly. "...don't let him hurt me!" "Your choice, Sparrow..." The captor hissed. "...you give up easily...or we slit the girl's throat and send her to Davy Jones' locker!" "Don't do it!!" Cheryl yelped, as the knife pressed against her throat. "...for the love of sailing...DON'T DO IT!!!"

[The Stryker]

Stryker sighed as the sword reappeared in his hand

"listen...i don't want to fight!"

Stryker then got punched in the face by a random pirate

"....ok then..."

Stryker kicked the pirate overboard and then shot out a blast of fire from his glove towards a oncoming pirate from behind

Two black hands then shot out of the floor beneath stryker and grabbed his legs

"not these guys too!"

[Jephael]

"Either way you're just going to kill her, aren't you? Might as well take my chances and save her... just as soon as I've thrown you into the drink!"

[Mars-Chan]

The figure then tossed a tied Cheryl into the ocean, and the last thing she saw was the boat slowly fading from view. Struggling as hard as she could to get to the surface, Cheryl paused when she saw a lone shadow circle around her..then another...and another...and another. -I'm gonna get eaten by SHARKS!!- She thought, as she eyed the great whites nervously.

[Jephael]

Jack dove back into the water and swam as fast as he could to his cousin's aid. He lifted her head back up into the air. "You sure seem to have a deal of bad luck on ya! Come on, those porpouses shouldn't hurt us."

[Mars-Chan]

The long fins of the great whites then swam toward the two and circled them as Cheryl yelped out loud. "Quick question..." She said, glancing at the sharks and back at her cousin. "...you CAN tell the diffrence between a Great White Shark and a dolphin...right?"
((OOC:Uh, Jeph...I'm all out of ideas with the sharks. You got any? :P ))

[Jephael]

(I had Cheryl mistake them for sharks because she couldn't see them from underwater)

"Evidently yes, but what's that got to do with porpouses?" Jack asked with a puzzled look on his face.

[Mars-Chan]

(Ah...I see.)
"Porpouses?" Cheryl asked, as she raised an eyebrow. "...what are you TALKING about? Aren't those sharks...or have I been sneaking around with the drinks again?"

"I can't say I see you as he drinking type, but those aren't sharks."

"Okay..okay...We've established that those are not sharks...but you don't know me all that well do you?" Cheryl grinned with a sort of divious grin.

[The Stryker]

More creatures popped up and took ove rthe bodies of some pirates and fused the two beings together

"crap..."

Meanwhile in the ocean

A Shark's fin rose up from the depths and swam towards Jack and Cheryl

The shark stopped momentarily and a purple/black mist rose from the ocean as the fin changed into a sort of Darker and more vicious creature/shark hybrid

[Jephael]

"I can't say that I have known you too well. But I just want you to know that if we somehow make it through this, I want to make an effort to make up for lost time." Jack said with a toothy grin as he began paddling his legs like crazy in an attempt to get him and his cousin a good distance from the strange beast.

[Mars-Chan]

"I'd like that..."Cheryl softly said, then joining in on paddling like crazy. "...is it just me, or did things get a little bit more CRAZY out here?!?!"

[Jephael]

"My dear, you are talking to a man who had a sword run through him... only to survive due to a curse that made him undead!" Jack spoke as he thought back to the night of that strange battle with the mutineers. "So trust me, you haven't even seen anything crazy!"

[The Stryker]

A group of the creatures gathered together and blasted Stryker with Dark energy and sent him flying back through the air

"lets hope this works!!"

Stryker then threw a black sphere down towards the ocean

The sphere then exploded in brilliant flash of white light

The creatures roared in pain and dissappeared

Stryker continued through the air and landed in the ocean, hard

[Mars-Chan]

"Did you hear that?!" Cheryl asked as she saw the white light and heard the crash. "...sounded like somone hit the ocean...hard. And if I know the ocean well...the barracudas will be on whoever landed in the water in seconds!"

[Jephael]

"That's good, because I'm kinda hungry from all of this swimming." Jack joked.

[Mars-Chan]

"This is no time for jokes, Jack!" Cheryl said, as she wiggled out of Jack's grip and swam toward the area where Stryker had fallen. "...come on!"

[Jephael]

"Atleast now I can swim much faster. I could barely do one stroke while I was carrying you!" Jack said as he paddled wildly.

[The Stryker]

The landing had knocked the air right out of stryker but he had enough energy to keep himself floating

".....this.....place....is doomed..."

[Mars-Chan]

"Very funny, Jack..." Cheryl muttered under her breath, as she took off. "...remind me to laugh when I find it funny...."

[Jade Green]

Begrudingly, Reye stayed at the wheel, not wanting the boat to stray duing this little bout. When the others, fell overboard, however, she pushed over the anchor - a job which she hoped she'd never have to do alone again - and grabbed another rope to assist them with getting back in the boat.

Cheryl panted slightly and slowed down as she continued to swim. "So...tired..." She panted. "...need...to..rest...have...to...go...on..."

Reye watched from the boat, the ropes were ready for them to climb aboard. She paced back and forth, wanting to jump in too but opting not to... some one had to take care of the boat. Who was the man with Cheryl? Cheryl was looking tired... BLOODY HELL didn't they know that sharks attacked from BELOW?! All good SAILORS knew that!

[Mars-Chan]

((Okay...got'cha. Sorry to have made you mad...))
A shadow passed under Cheryl and she squeaked slightly. She then saw the rope and raced toward it. "Jack...I'll meet you on the ship!" She called, grabbing the rope and climbing up, putting her hands on the rail. "...Reye, give me a hand!"

[Jade Green]

Reye quickly pulled her up, "Oo's tha man?" She asked when Cheryl was safely aboard.

[Jephael]

"Allow me to greet myself," Jack called as he pulled himself upward from behind his cousin. "Jack Sparrow, professional pirate extrordinaire!" he said as he shook Reye's hand.

[The Stryker]

"no....you....don't understand......if we don't get to the equator...quickly....this world....will be destroyed"

Stryker was weak from the battle against the creatures when a piece of paper slipped out from his pocket

The paper reads "I have began my study on the effects of the human heart...and exposing it to darkness, destroys it...but my human specimans continued to live...they began to change...into these strange creatures...devoid of Human Hearts....The creatures only exist to destroy...and now...i will be the one to assist them....,Ansem"

[Jephael]

"That's interesting!" Jack said sarcastically. "So how do we stop these things from destroying the world?"

[The Stryker]

"you....can't..."

Stryker then passed out from the exaustion and the life draining effect the creatures have

[Jade Green]

Reye's eye twitched as Jack introduced himself, "Jack? Captain Jack Sparrow?" Jack didn't answer though, Stryker went on to explain about the Creatures; but that didn't stop Reye from doing what she had been longing to do for nearly an entire year since the death of her captain and crew...

Her fist flew, punching Jack Sparrow squarely in the nose. She didn't bother to give an explaination but instead turned to Cheryl, "Center of the Earth, right? The equator. Then I suggest that we get going."

[Jephael]

"Guess I might've deserved that." Jack said solomly as he rubbed his bleeding nose from the punch he took. "If you'll excuse me, I need to refresh myself."

[Jade Green]

(uhm, Reye just punched Jack...
She blames him for the fact that the Black Pearl attacked her own ship...)

Reye just scoffed, but look strangely more calm now that she was finaly able to vent her rage some. She sighed and grabbed Stryker, "Want I should put him down below?" She asked Cheryl.

"I can take myself down, thank you. After all, it's not every day one gets the better of Jack Sparrow!"

[Mars-Chan]

"I'll take him there." Cheryl said, as she and Jack walked down the stairs. "...she didn't hit you too hard...did she?"

"Where have you been all this time, Jack?" Cheryl asked, then sighing heavily. "...I mean, I know you were searching for the Black Pearl but it doesn't take that long to find it...does it? It seems like forever....I've been looking for you...." The last words were almost that of a cousin who had grown up without another family member to turn to whenever she had problems.

Jack breathed a sigh as he thought about the events that roles only afew months before. "After my friend Will Turner helped me defeat those damn mutinous pirates, I decided to sail around the Pacifoc to see if I could find the spot where our grandfather's ship had been sunk back when we wus just kids. Don't ask why, but I always felt like I had this strange connection with the old man."

"Did you find it?" Cheryl softly asked, playing with her necklace that she opened up to reveal two pictures of she and Jack when they were kids, and chuckled softly. "...the, uh, ship, I mean..." She chuckled softly again and hastily wiped tears from her eyes while clearing her throat. "Jack...." She said. "...I miss Gramps..."

"So do I, dear. Alas, I couldn't find anything there that remotely resembled the remains of the ship. I guess all that's left got sent down to Davy Jone's locker."

"I guess..." She sighed, closing the locket with a soft snap and wiping tears away again. "....why did he have to go out on his own? Wasn't he on his last legs...or something?"

"He didn't..." Jack could feels tears welling up in his eyes, so he quickly wiped his face so as not to sound upset. "He didin't want to spend the rest of his life confined to the house. I didn't blame him. Never could stand being on land for more than a day."

"Neither could I." Cheryl sighed, walking over to him and sitting next to him and resting her head on his chest. "...it's just that...whenever I'm out sailing, I hear his laughter in the wind...I see his smile in the stars...Am I going mad?"

Reye slumped down into one of the temples and gently pressed her forefinger and thumb against her eyes. She'd go back up there in a minute. So the boy would be happy if only she got swallowed up... did he really think her that horrible? She never said that he wasn't any help when fighting those... THINGS! She knew very well that if it hadn't been for him they wouldn't be 'alive' right now!

Reye couldn't sail the ship alone! Not with out help! And when Reye tried to tell Stryker something that he could do to help... he said he knew nothing about boats and not to yell at him!

The creatures moved silently in the shadows and moved down and around the room where reye and the others were

Did she just hear a voice? She couldn't have, there was no one else in the room; but she distinctly heard a voice... or was it voices? Her eyes darted around the room. Well, she didn't see any one but that meant nothing. She quickly stood up, her hand hovering over her sword. "Who goes there?"

"No, I don't sing to HIM in that voice..." Cheryl said, as she shook her head and walked over to her drink caddy. "...he just upset me is all. Can I offer you anything?"

"I'll just take ordinary rum." Jack said with a grin. he then turned to the bird and said "Anything for you, my friend?"

"Never!" SHe hissed, and grabbed onto the shelf, pulling out her sword with her free hand, "Let-me-GO!" She brought the blad down on the claw, effectively cutting it off and then leapt up and sprinted out of the room. "CHERYLE! JACK! STRYKER!"

Cheryl then yelped as she dropped the drink at the sound of Reye's yells. "Want to join me, cousin?" She said, as she let out a quick whistle and Callahan flew from Jack's shoulder and landed on hers. "...hang on, Reye! We're comming!!!" She then nodded for her cousin to follow her out the door.

"I suppose we can hold off the drinks for later." Jack said as he shrugged, following his cousin. That is, if there is a later! he added in his head.

Cheryl then paused at the door and nodded her cousin close. She could spot Reye on the deck of the ship and glanced at Jack. "Can you see anything?" She softly asked, as Callahan cocked his head slightly.

"That's one smart birdy!" Jack said, patting Callahan on the head.

Cheryl couldn't help but smile at Jack's comment, then the smile faded as she narrowed her eyes. "Again..." She whispered. "....do you see anything chasing Reye?"

Another one of the creatures lept out of the floor, behind jack and grabbed onto him, driving its claw into his heart

"LEAVE MY COUSIN ALONE!!!" Cheryl roared, pulling her sword out of his hilt and cutting the creature's hand out of her cousin's heart. "...you want to get to him you gotta go through ME!!!!!!!!!!"

A queasy sensation ran through Jack's body the moment the creature came into contact with him, but quickly went away after Cheryl forced it to let go of him. "That was intersting! Creepy, but interesting!"

[Mars-Chan]

"You feeling ok, Jack?" Cheryl panted, blowing hair out of her eyes. "...I can't watch over you all the time you know...."

[Jephael]

"I should be fine!" Jack said between heavy breaths. "Just do me a favor and keep those weird beings away from me. I can only handle being hexed once every few years."

After an impressive display of flinging her sword from hand to hand, Cheryl grinned slyly and simply: "GLADLY. Bring it on."

Reye had her own sword ready, and was looking left and right for any sign of the creatures. She backed up so she next to Cheryl and Jack. "Just in case we don't get out of this," She said, "I'm - I...." She huffed, "I am sorry fer hittin' you... sorta blamed you for Barbossa and all..."

"I think we'll have time for apologies later...." Cheryl said, as she lept up on the rail to give Jade enough room to stand, as she also glanced about for the creatures. "....I hope....."

20 More creatures began to appear around the group of three, they then began running around them in a scattered pattern, some attacking at random times

[Mars-Chan]

"There's too many of them!" Cheryl shrieked, as she tried to fend them off. "...I...can't fight much longer!" One then drove it's claw into her heart, and she gasped for air. The boat then gave a violent rock and Cheryl went flying overboard.

[The Stryker]

A bag of gold dust poured on Cheryl and she stopped falling and floated in the air

Stryker lowered down and looked at her

"hey i just used my last batch of pixie dust on you....you better not die"

[Mars-Chan]

"Then get the hand out of me!" Cheryl gasped, as she looked up at Stryker. ".... I will die if you don't!"

Stryker pulled out his sword and stabbed the lingering arm

The arm shattered and the pieces floated into the air and disappeared

"Thanks..." Cheryl groaned, shaking her head. "...do me a favor...all right? Get me back up on my ship with Jack and Reye...please?"

Translated, many sounded like: MAY YOU FOREVER SUFFER IN THE RIVER OF FLAME! or IF YAWEH DOES NOT SMITE YOU, I WILL! but others, were traditional prayers... anything she could throw verbally at them as she fought them, she did.

Letting out a slight groan, Cheryl put a hand to her head and slowly came around. "What hit me....?" She groaned, blinking her eyes to get them to focus. "...nngh...." She then pulled her sword out of her hilt, grined as it shone in the sun, and leapt up and stood next to her cousin. "Heya, Jack." She grinned. "...did ya miss me?"

Suddenly, without making a sound, a figure leaped through the air and landed between the creatures and the party. Although his appearance was shrouded by a faded greyish-black hood and cloak, he was wearing unmistakably Japanese clothing. His cloak covering his frame, he didn't appear to have any obvious weapons on his person.

The stranger looked over at the creatures for a moment. He then turned his head and looked to the party. He removed his hood with a calm smile. A crop of long, straight black hair was pulled back into a ponytail. He had no facial hair, and appeared to be somewhere in his early 20's. His appearance implied an Anglo-Saxon background, although there were slight hints of an Asian heritage as well.

"You guys look like you could use some help." He told them in clear English. His accent was unmistakably American. He nodded towards the creatures with a smirk. "My name is Kenichi Hamato, but you folks can call me Ken."

He turned his back to the party and faced the creatures again. "So... shall we?"

[Mars-Chan]

"mmm...We shall...Ken." Cheryl said, with a slight sly smirk on her lips. "...I don't believe I've seen you around these here parts. You new or are you a wanderer like me?" Cheryl then spun her sword in her hands and eyed one creature with a twitching lower eyelid. "Come on..." She growled under her breath as the creature moved forward. "...I DARE YOU!"

With that, he began to slowly walk towards the creatures. His dark cloak billowed about him. He stood absolutely motionless, eyeing the creatures.... his hands were empty. He bore no weapons.

Calmly he simply scanned all the creatures with his gaze and flatly announced. "You will fail."

Meanwhile, Reye was cutting down the creatures at the fastest rate she could. She only partly noted the new man's sudden appearance but did not stop to wonder how the bloody hell he got onto the boat. She instead took advantage of another creature's distraction by him to kick it over the side of the boat.

Then, instantly and without making a sound, Ken disappeared in a blur. He reappeared in the midst of the creatures, alongside Reye, and was lashing out powerful strikes and kicks at lightning speed.

One of the creatures tried to slash at him from behind, but he dodged the attack without once turning around and plunged his heel deep into the creature's midsection. A disgusting bluish-green blood spurted from its mouth.

Another creature tried to grab at his neck. He gracefully moved between the creature's limbs and managed a fearsome lock around his arms. The beast hit the floor with a deafening thud.

All of the creatures near him were now on the ground. One creature remained. It tried some kind of roundhouse kick at Ken. He easily dodged the attack and with one flowing, lunging movement plumetted his right fist straight into the creature's ribcage. It flew back about 10 feet and hit a railing with a sickening crack.

And that was that. All the creatures near Hamato had fallen. He stood completely unscratched, without ever putting a blade into his hand. "Hmmph."

A dagger flew and embedded itself into the neck of the last one near Reye and it slumped to the floor. Looking around at her handy work, she walked over to the last and retrieved her dagger.

Ken looked over at Reye with a curious glance. "Hmm... interesting."

He then turned to face the others.

"If you don't mind my asking... Ken." Reye took a non-agressive step towards him, "If you were on this ship the entire time, why did you not... assist us earlier?"

"Because," Ken replied in his charming American drawl. "I wasn't on the ship until now." Ken wondered for a moment if any of the others were from the Colonies like him....

"Well, if you weren't on my ship before..." Cheryl sighed, putting up her sword and nodding for Callahan, who had perched on the mast to watch, to land on her shoulder. "....WHERE WERE YOU?!" She then blew hair out of her eyes and folded her arms across her chest and waited for an answer.

"In all truthfulness," Ken chimed in. "I've been tracking these creatures for quite some time..... since Jamestown." He seemed forlorn for a moment and then looked back at the crew with a smile.

"Jamestown....?" Cheryl asked, as she then turned to Ken. Jamestown was were she saw her parents killed! "...did you say Jamestown? I...uh...happen to know a few people down there...that is I DID...until I became a wanderer like yourself..."

Cheryl then broke the silence by forcedly clearing her throat and speaking. "Uh....Reye? Watch over the ship for me a while, all right?" She said, the sadness in her voice ringing out true. "...I...ah...got some...*ahem*...things to look over downstairs." She then walked down the stairs near her with a quick run and shut the door behind her softly, sinking to the floor and letting the tears fall.

Ken chuckled. "Well, its been a while since I've been in Nihon, so I can't really say...."

Ken cocked his head for a moment and looked straight at Reye. There was a relaxed but intense focus across his eyes. He seemed to be sizing her up.

Ken could easily sense that the captain was distressed. Hmm..... I wonder...

She walked up to the wheel, "...I suppose we should be thanking you for intervining, I doubt we would have been sucessful if you had not jumped in."

Jack couldn't take it any longer. He tapped on the door as he crept into the room where his cousin was weeping. "Cheryl dear, I wish you wouldn't be so worriysome. We're going to be fine! I know we are!"

She said, as Callahan perched on the rail beside her. "...you mentioned Jamestown. I have some...uh...certian memories of that place. Tell me, my friend, what do you know of this place? Reye frowned slightly at Jack. "I voice what one of the rumors were, Sparrow and my disbelief in it. No man can take on such a crew alone." She lowered her voice and added in a mutter as she rubbed her upper right shoulder, "I should know..."

"The only reason why I ask..." Cheryl sighed, running a hand through her hair. "...is because those memories of mine involve my parents and their bloody murder before my very eyes." She then walked over to Callahan and rubbed his feathers slightly. "Those bloody murderers killed them when I was eight. When they saw me, they chased me out of my home and onto this ship. I didn't realize...until today...that the one who killed my mom and dad were none other than NORRINGTON himself. He's been after me ever since." A loud *boom* then rocked the water beside them and Cheryl pulled out her cutlass and put it up to her eye. "Bloody...." She uttered under her breath, lowering the cutlass from her eye. "....speak of the devil....my friends...we are under attack from Norrington and his crew. Let's drop the ancor and hit them with everything we got!"

"Guess what, dear cousin..." Cheryl huffed, then seething softly. "...HE DIDN'T!!!! Reye, Ken...See if you can steer away from the ship! Jack...you'll be helping me with the cannons!" Cheryl then took off down to the lower deck, not even checking to see if her cousin followed behind her, and surveyed the weaponry. "Swords...good..." She uttered under her breath. "...cannons...excellent...but WHERE ARE THE BLOODY CANNONBALLS?!?!? You'd THINK if I'd had a ship I'd have cannons with cannonballs...but NOOO!!!!!!!"
